The Russians simply put pressure from the north to keep a disproportionate number of the UAF pinned there while they poured out of Crimea... And it worked beautifully. When the UAF realized the size of the force attacking them from the north was *that* small and finally began redeploying assets, the northern front was no longer accomplishing that function, so those troops were pulled back to be redeployed elsewhere. That's the thing. There is no proof of the dropping into the sea or any photos of the two passenger sized planes that were supposedly shot down. I think both of those were made up most likely. Still the VDV did underperform, mostly due to poor planning.

The VDV forces truly captured the airfield firstly and held it for some time, but absense of support and logistics made them suffer bug losses and leave the airport. The second push was 2 or 3 days later with the support of ground forces and artillery and then the Ukrainian forces abandoned the place and moved to Bucha. But both Ukrainian and Russian artillery were shelling the Hostomel airport so hard, that it became unusable. Thirdly, video from TASS is unreliable? It was from the Ministry of Defence. But in general, F you and have a good day.

Just to have a good laugh from putin's disaster, does anyone has the source (news/report) about those vdv troops dropping in the sea?
That's the thing. There is no proof of the dropping into the sea or any photos of the two passenger sized planes that were supposedly shot down. I think both of those were made up most likely. Still the VDV did underperform, mostly due to poor planning.

@@temugenie2698 The Russian army has underperformed and they are losing, but the ridiculous propaganda doesn't help make the case for the Ukranians. They're not the good guys either government wise, they just have the lucky position of being the one getting invaded.

The "Azov people" are more nazi than the ruskies are, the "foreign legion" is a bunch of redditors (granted with some exceptions) that doxxed themselves and then got blown up. Hell there were calls even in the US to proclaim Azov as a terrorist organization.
I can empathyse with people defending their homes and loved ones, with refugees fleeing from warzones. But having seen confirmed reports of Azovites and ukraine forces actively hiding behind civilians, preventing them to leave cities, that's just fucked up. Even more so when they say what they plan on doing to the Chechen soldiers. Bullets greased in pig fat, really?
Plus no mental gymnastics can justify what the ukrainians were doing to the separatists before the russian intervention happened. Confirmed bombings of schools and hospitals, no matter any ceasefire.
I've got nothing against anybody, but no one can claim the Ukraine side is morally superior, cause it just isn't.

@@Jukletsplay I can refute your statements that Azov is not released to civilians, I lived near the Azov base and they help everyone get out, especially Mariupol, so what you are reading is another propaganda nonsense. Regarding the fact that they (what are covered by civilians) I can tell you as a survivor, well, you can say when you see a fucked up and a nightmare that Azov does not hide behind civilians, but this cannot be said about the Russians, he loves to hide behind civilians.

There is even footage from a go prop when they landed on the airfield from one of the Soldiers.
That video is from February when they first time attacked hostomel airfield, they are wiped out and Russia already lost more than 50 flying machines including helis and jets.

We have 3 confirmed lost helicopters during the attack on Hostomel , Ka52 and 2 Mi8's. But the other 31 helicopters made it to their target. video evidence and eye witnesses can confirm this. We know 34 machines particeped in the attack.

A Il-76 is a giant aircraft , the amount wreckage that would be on the ground is out of this world.

And the losses on the ground are unknown , but they did not get wiped , because the VDV held onto the position and the Ukrainians never retook the said airfield , now did they?

Secondly, I live in Kyivska oblast along Zhytomyrska highway, I could hear artillery from Irpen, Bucha, Hostomel quite good for several days in a row.
The VDV forces truly captured the airfield firstly and held it for some time, but absense of support and logistics made them suffer bug losses and leave the airport. The second push was 2 or 3 days later with the support of ground forces and artillery and then the Ukrainian forces abandoned the place and moved to Bucha. But both Ukrainian and Russian artillery were shelling the Hostomel airport so hard, that it became unusable.
Thirdly, video from TASS is unreliable? It was from the Ministry of Defence.
