      I downloaded this app. No bullshit this thing is actually really dope. $4/month is well worth it if you can afford it.

    He who controls the Carlsen controls the board.

      But he who can destroy a thing controls it. So does that I need to hold a gun to Carlsen's head to improve my Elo?

    When I clicked on this video I played Nc6 as Black in a blitz game. I won it then another won. Thank you, Maggie.

    The opening and position in the first quarter of the video looks very standard. Almost like a game I've played. Surprised it's between two of the world's toppies.

    I wonder why Epic has not grown in two years to 1M subscribers. "Epic Chess 64.8K subscribers". Deserves more. Epic gives little tips throughout the game that are very good for more advanced players. And he's funny. I think he's better than Levy, who caters to 400 Elo players especially kids. But, that's RUclips for you. Hope I see this channel to at least 200k subscribers two years from now.

    • @MotuBiral
      @MotuBiral 6 месяцев назад +2

      Epic is great but no need to shit on Levi. They both have their place and are both phenomenal presenters

    • @MrNemesis85
      @MrNemesis85 6 месяцев назад +2

      Agree Epic>Levi. Levi caters to high school and middle school students and uses click bait, which is why I unsubbed and stumbled upon Epic Chess. No click bait, witty commentary, and solid chess tips.

    • @raylopez99
      @raylopez99 6 месяцев назад

      @@MotuBiral I said he caters to patzers, that's not an insult just stating the obvious. I myself subscribe to him and listen to him at 2x speed, which makes him more entertaining.

      @@raylopez99 lmao that sounds hilarious imma try that out. Idk what patzers means and cant look it up now. Im a 35 years old man and I love watching how to lose at chess that is too funny

    • @raylopez99
      @raylopez99 6 месяцев назад

      @@MotuBiral It takes about 10 years before you hit a "plateau" and level off in Elo in chess...so keep losing, its good for you. I'm about 2100 (peak) at LiChess blitz and I can play without even thinking one or two moves ahead since I've lost so many times I know what mistakes to avoid.

  • @jaygbardo8781
    @jaygbardo8781 6 месяцев назад +1

    Carlsen cares for players and know the ups and downs. After Candidates Firouzja was very depressed. He is a better blitz player, when opponents have time to think, he has trouble beating them with the less accurate moves that occur in Blitz Check his accuracy for the tournament. However Carlsen likes the challenge of playing odd opening in Blitz to see if he can still win. This time he got caught. And, Firouzja's confidence is bouyed.

    Giving Alireza a one pawn lead with a rubbish opening may actually be a bit much even for Magnus, he should only do that with lesser GM's, not Super GM's 😄

    Good game if nothing else shows the talent Alireza is capable of so many people were dumping on him because of his bad showing in the candidates it’s just something that happens I think he’ll be back to his winning ways and Great Chess again now that the pressure is no longer there Thanks for the Game James enjoy your day

    In my books, a loss doesn't count if your first move is intentionally a "nonsense" move, as it was in this case.

    Carlsen didn't really get destroyed. Still, it looked like he wasn't even trying. Play a bad line as black against a strong player and realistically you can only hope for a draw. What's the fun in that? I was surprised by Firouzja's f2-f4 pawn break, though, as this is usually the wrong plan in these types of positions. The plan with b2-b4 and at some point c4-c5 begged to be played.
