You can replace the 47pf with a 10-350 pf variable, so that you can choose the frequency you broadcast on. Also use an NPN transistor so that you can power it with 25-40 vdc. This increases the range alot. (transistors you can use: bc547, bc337, bc 237, 2n2222, ac127, 2n3904 or literally any NPN :D (this does 300m at best)
also if you are feeling experimental replace the transistor with a bu208a high voltage NPN. You can feed this transistor with voltages exceeding 400v, replace the resistors and capacitors with high volt. ones and there you go, you now got a range of 10 km (6.2 miles) very fun and very illegal :D Improvements: 0.1 uF cap ant the input to filter out noise. for a range of 1km you will need a 50m antenna or a 20m vertical one. All of the components can be desoldered from an old cassette player or radio. This transmitter is actually a great design but fails on the sound quality because of the 47pf cap.(like I said replace it with a variable tuning capacitor (can be found in an old am/fm radio) and it should work fine). Tap the antenna on 2.5 turns of the coil for greater stability.
Ages ago I did similar projects. I remember instead one of capacitors was a variable capacitor and there was second coil (3 turns) placed inside 5 turns coil. That changes were giving me opportunity to tune into other different frequencies.
I have built so many of these simple fm transmitters , the maximum range I got was 400 meters (weak signal) .the transmitter was perfectly tuned to antenna of 20 cm length .
This specific transistor has the collector in the middle and the base on it's right at 2:54. It's not E B C, it's E C B as per the datasheet of 2SC2655 and the following construction of the circuit in the video.

You're right, 102 is not read directly in pf, it is coded. It must be converted to normal. So 1 is 1, 0 is zero, 2 is two zero, equal to 1000. 1000 pf or .001 microfarad.

maybe try 87.7 mhz because less stations in that tuning and that some micro fm transmitters for cd players us that tuning. . Maybe put another turn on coil to lower the frequency a bit and use an antenna just a few inches long and resistor if needed so as just enough power is used for the needed range. It will help avoid interfering other channels and all is well. Put circuit in metal shield box with antenna wire comming out from it. Or just buy a chesp fm transmitter at a dollar store, no skills needed.

I made it with variable capacity capacitor, some more precised resisrors and 2 potenciometers, i rebuildet it so it has power regulating on fm power booster, it makes 34w fm signal max, wide range from 48.2 to 116.9 mhz, i tested it on rtl2832u dvbt tuber on sd sharp.
I made it.When I put a multimeter probe on the emitter I hear static on my radio around the 98 on the dial. made mini jack plug for input, but no sound only static. Small antenna on emitter, still not much sound. I'm near a radio station with big antenna. Can this interfere with the fm spy bug?

There are a number of crippling problems with this simple transmitter, the main one being drift and load instability, as the antenna moves around it changes the load on the oscillator causing it to drift off frequency, useless. Range depends on a number of factors, but rf power output is in the micro-watts being very weak, limiting range to about 50~100M on the average fm radio.

I made it with variable capacity capacitor, some more precised resisrors and 2 potenciometers, i rebuildet it so it has power regulating on fm power booster, it makes 34w fm signal max, wide range from 48.2 to 116.9 mhz, i tested it on rtl2832u dvbt tuber on sd sharp.

I made it.When I put a multimeter probe on the emitter I hear static on my radio around the 98 on the dial. made mini jack plug for input, but no sound only static. Small antenna on emitter, still not much sound. I'm near a radio station with big antenna. Can this interfere with the fm spy bug?

It's not 102 pF but 1000pF. The 3rd number says how many zeros you have to add to those first two to get the capacity in pF.

No, the video clearly said, 3V to 6V. You can pair two 1.5 volt batteries in series to get to 3V if you like... or four to get to 6v.
This little circuit works only in its territory at the frequency 104.5 mhz!!! If, I can find these components, values, I will make it.

There are a number of crippling problems with this simple transmitter, the main one being drift and load instability, as the antenna moves around it changes the load on the oscillator causing it to drift off frequency, useless. Range depends on a number of factors, but rf power output is in the micro-watts being very weak, limiting range to about 50~100M on the average fm radio.
