@@yaqinmalul6467 time travel is just one of its functions. Touko theorizes it has way more than just that since the second can do similar stuff. The most likely thing is Entropy manipulation which keeps getting mentioned a lot when talking about what the 5th ends up influencing. There is a main worry with the heat and energy of the world when it comes to using the 5th so Aoko must be messing with the entropy of the world.
@@yaqinmalul6467 that's just incorrect. Time Travel is under the domain of Second Magic, which is Zelretch's True Magic. Touko Aozaki in Mahoyo said that while the Fifth Magic is capable of time travel, it is only seen as a side effect rather than the main function of the Fifth.
It's not entirely clear yet but we do have lots of hints about the Fifth Magic, with all of them mostly pointing to the manipulation of entropy. Goetia's Ars Almadel Salomonis is said to be hinting to the manipulation of entropy. Goetia's Ars Almadel Salomonis is said to be a huge hint of the Fifth Magic's application.
@@demigodz6944 Touko can spout as much magibabble as she wants, but she isn't a Magician so I don't trust her as the final authority on True Magic. After all, Nasu has a history of making characters say things about magecraft/Magic that's later proven flat-out wrong.
Calling anything "the domain of" one True Magic and not another always sounded to me like an example of Touko not being able to wrap her head around just how detached True Magic is from common sense, even the unusual common sense of a Magus.

Regardless of however you saw Touko's interpretation, it still remains completely valid. Touko has a background of being one of the youngest Clock Tower Mages that reach the rank of Grand, which can be achieved in excellence of both theoretical and practical application of Magecraft. Of course she's more than enough reliable for her points about the Fifth Magic to be trusted.
And it was already proven that time travel has always been under the domain of the Second Magic. It's literally stated in any of the material books involving Zelretch or the Second, even if we factor out Touko.

Hmmmm let me get one lore straight: Aoko can send infinite copies of herself here BECAUSE it's a Singularity, right?
I'm aware that Fifth fucks with entropy and sends cause and effect to shit, but all it does is fast-forward the state of things or delay the state of things, right? In the original VN when she activates Fifth to fast-forward her time, she replaces herself with Super Aoko instead of summoning Super Aoko to fight with her. If she dies in the original VN, there won't be a spare Aoko from the future popping in to continue where she left off because, well, there won't be a future Aoko. Because she dies.
This Aoko copy situation is only possible because this Singularity is a wrinkle in space, so anything that happens in it will not affect the human history (and consequently the Aoko that is living in that history) unless it stabilizes and make a new human history.

This takes place years after the VN right? Still wondering why is soujouurou a servant, what happened to the real one?
The real one is there in the inn/Singularity. It's not impossible for a still living human to meet themselves as a servant. Been like this since the original FSN. The real question is how the hell did the Throne even recognize Sojurou as a Heroic Spirit to be recorded in the first place

@@Wandersnatch.Not just in a Singularity. In KnK Toko actually dies to Alaya, but comes back due to her having a spare body all ready to go. No Fifth Magic involved with that one...as far as I know.
@@cameraredeye3115yea that's because Touko keeps a bunch of spare bodies in cryo sleep. It's the same thing Zouken Matou did to keep himself alive for hundreds of years, though since he's beyond his natural soul lifespan, the spare have been declining in quality compared to Touko's. Aoko can do that too if she want to (or have the ability to make dolls) no Fifth Magic or Singularity needed. But in this event case she's using her magic, not spare dolls.

@@demigodz6944 I think rather than Time Travel I'd say that its more of Causality Manipulation
@@demigodz6944I think all the True Magics can achieve time travel via different mechanism. Second does it by jumping off one timeline and jumping back on it on a different point from where you jumped off. Fifth does it by taking state of things in the future and bringing it into the past or vice versa. Third does it by materializing and dematerializing a soul at points in time, Rayshift style, like what Servant Morgan did in LB6 to send herself to Aesc/Tonelico.
