It was incredibly eerie for me to think “THIS is the point I have to be at in life to get compliments?”. Point being, you never know what someone is going through. You may genuinely be coming from a kind place, but actually be reaffirming ED behaviors or be saying it to a person dealing with a disease/cancer etc. A friend of mine who had been diagnosed with breast cancer experienced the same comments from people who didn’t know. This is why I never say anything to anyone, unless it’s someone I’m extremely close to & I know that weight loss is something they’re aiming for in a healthy manner. I think 99% of people would find it unnerving to have a stranger literally stop traffic to comment on your weight.
The best days to visit the parks are rainy days! There’s barely any lines. Just be prepared to not ride everything, and have squeaky wet tennis shoes. It’s so much fun!

His apartment faced my apartment and when I would come and go he would always be outside watching me go up and down my stairs. He started noticing my routine and would comment and be like you go home late yesterday what happened? So glad we moved away from there. Sorry your neighbor is creepy!

This reminded me of a time I was goin to cross the street and a car was going to make a turn into the street. He signaled me to pass but then almost ran me over because as I was crossing proceeded to also make a turn and stop in the middle to tell me he was trying to be courteous.
I’m so sorry that weird encounter happened to you!! People are way too comfortable commenting on people’s bodies. Unfortunately I think it’s more of a fatphobic thing than a gender thing bc when my dad lost weight EVERYONE and I mean EVERY SINGLE PERSON we ran into that we even passingly knew would comment on his weight loss and congratulate him and ask him the details of how he did it. Like this happened for literal months.
I do my own tape ins. I add two or three per side to add some volume in front of my hair. I cut them to match my cut and layers too. So easy! And so much cheaper!
