Wild tigers have a "regal"ness about them that I find missing in captive and on-TV tigers. Wild tigers don't fear anything and are fiercely independent. They have an aura.

What a wonderful mother, you can see her try to keep it together and retrieve all her cubs safely. A hand must not only be given to human mothers for their devotion but animals go on another level.
Poor mum. I can just hear her saying "I swear to God Jeffrey, if you don't come here right now, I'm going to turn this den around and then you'll be sorry!"

Larry Elliot I agree. Recent census shows number of tigers actually climbed up in India. By the way, are you aware that, apart from Africa, India is the only place where lions are living in wild. They live and thrive in Gir Forest in the state of Gujarat.
***** I hope their numbers continue to climb. It would be a sad day to have these fantastic animals become extinct in the wild, so that you could not see one anywhere but a zoo or maybe an animal sanctuary.
Would you rather be a Tiger mama or Lion mama? Lion mama... they live in a pride. the thought of raising a cub alone is terrifying. Shoutout to the single parents! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Yeah...But that comes with a terrible price. Filicide is ludicrously common with Lions, and if the Male is killed in a fight for Dominance, Cubs are the first casualties. I'd rather be the tiger who'd kill to defend her cubs than the poor lioness who has to watch her's be killed.
This is so amazing! I love the way they're flailing about all over the place (although, thankfully not hurting themselves) and you can just hear mama tiger's exasperate sigh like oh gosh another one's running away!
It needs to be held by the neck since it's so fragile at that age. Just like a human baby, you need to support the neck when you hold them. Holding the baby tiger by its backside/tail would be wrong since the cub has no support for the neck and the blood could rush up to the brain causing it to feint or pass out from the rush. The young tiger is still getting to grips with being a mum, you aren't born a parent but you quickly learn.
