Pls listen to patients don’t cause them long life suffering pls. I’ve had a problem with my leg and hip since 21 now 42 been to at least 100 Drs. All have failed me because they won’t listen and continue to push PT which only makes me worse.

@@boundariessetinstone5893 you seem to be very angry buddy! But I am thankful for your advice and shall continue to listen to my patients and now with more effort. Thank you very much.
And I would suggest you see a physiotherapist rather than a doctor for your problem. Wish you health!

Extremely lucid video. Thank you. I pulled a deep gluteal muscle in my back thigh playing tennis. Your video helped me know what muscle it was and why I was in so much pain... because of its proximity to the sciatic nerve.

This tutorial was wonderful! Thank you so much for putting this out here. I've been having a pinched Lateral Femoral Cutaneous nerve that has in the past effected my (R) thigh, then all of a sudden, somethin g shifted and other parts of my thigh have been effected with such deep horrible pain that by 2pm, I am no longer able to walk. I wanted to know if this nerve could still be affecting the muscles in my thigh. I had forgotten we had this many muscles. It's possible it's the Lateral Femoral nerve or the Sciatic or both. My MD and I will be discussing where do we go from her. I Thank You from the bottom of my Heart for the information. I was absolutely fascinated.

Quick correction: I heard you say that Obt. Internus inserts onto the greater trochanter. The small lateral hip rotators ( i.e. Piriformis, Sup. and Inf. Gemelli, and Obt. Internus insert into the Trochanteric fossa, not the GT) The only Lateral rotator to not insert into the trochanteric fossa is, Quad Femoris, which attaches onto the Quadrate Tubercle.

Can i just add that below 90 degrees of Hip Flexion, the Piriformis is an Lateral Rotator, but above 90 degrees of hip flexion, its a medial rotator.

I am afraid the area between the sacrospinous and the sacrotuberous is the lesser sciatic foramen. At 3:25 its misleading when you say "so the greater sciatic foramen is this space between the greater noch and the sacrospinous and the sacrotuberous ligament"
    Good job anyhow :)
