I just read that Sherrie passed away on November 25 2022 at age 66 due to natural causes. I'm am so sad. 😢 She was Steve's angel and probably still is in a way. She was the epitome of natural beauty for that era. Oh how we girls wanted to be her !!! RIP Sherrie.
Sherrie Swofford never married or had children. Steve Perry gave her the rights to this song so she still makes money off it. She's still alive and kicking. She is often mistaken with an actress with the same name.

For me it's a toss up. Steve Perry and Lou Gramm of Foreigner have to be the two greatest rock singers. Glad to see Foreigner was FINALLY nominated for the Rock 'n Roll HOF. So many great rock groups in the 60's, 70's and 80s, but these two stand out for their contributions to the music world.
