As a former Io one-trick (more diversified, and for healer mostly switched to Grover, these days), I agree with you -- except for the fact that Io's ult is one of the worst in the game.
Her ult fucking sucks. It’s just a worse version of Torv’s ult. It could be better by doing more damage. Edit: A good trick to make it a little better is to aim it at the ground so it travels slower. This way you can maybe get a kill if you manage to get some shots in on anyone caught in your ult. Some people say her ult is good for getting environmental kills, and while that’s correct, torv’s ult literally does that too, but 10x better and easier to use.
No it is not there is no bad ult in this game if you know how to use them, for example Io's ult should always be kept to either throw enemies off the map, or off the point for a last second capture, otherwise aim the ult at the ground when an enemy attacks you and it will carry the enemy or enemies slowly forward leaving them helpless while you shoot them
@@anonymous01201 Torv's ult to me anyway is very inconsistent, when I want to send an enemy somewhere with Io's ult the ult takes them exactly there, with torv tho it's so damn chaotic it flails everyone all over the place and it's just not very easy to control past the initial blow
Honestly when I play, I use characters with self sustain, like Victor, Buck, Maeve, Raum to mention a few just because I don't really trust healers, sometimes when I go with AA Ying people get upset but I'm literally just using her AA to defend myself since no one tries to protect me as a healer, but it's not even like I'm shattering my illusions but eh
I recommend Viktor if you play any shooter for tank barik and Fernando is pretty good starter Zhin is very simple, he got a lot of escape and his shot is easy to hit For support, io is a good starter(seris even doe the easiest support she teach you bad habit so I don't recommend her) , grover also good to get into
Basically what Jackies said. Seris is the easiest and best starter support for learning the basics of the class, but once you get more comfortable with the role it's best to move on to better supports.
would love to have you try my seris build sometime, its potential to both simultaneously damage and heal your team is awesome. i get minimum 60k damage and 140k plus heals every game. but it can look more like 100/100 depnding on how i have to play You just use Blood Pact, level up to you (i use 4 or 5) Spirit Leech level 1 , 2 max but not necessary Hold both triggers or right click/left click the whole time, i mean it. the game cycles between group healing with restore ability and shooting orbs while ur heal ability charges back up. its kinda broken.and you dont even need to aim at a teammate it just connects to nearby teammates. obviously you dont have to do this CONSTANTLY but the feature is something that is broken about seris. because of spirit leech you will never have to reload doing this method on point. because of blood pact you're always healing back up and able to sustain tons of damage being able to massively, not passively, heal a group area like this and still attack the enemy. you can completely overwhelm the team in burst damage and burst heals. it also distracts the enemies who write you off as just healers and try to target the tanks, or if theyre smart and target you they see it wont be easy pickings. + you can use shadow travel to go immune and invisible if you really get in a pinch. Viel makes it very close to ghost walk and you can also use rend soul to turn the tables in any fight and do some massive liferip the self sustain on this build is great if you know when to use the rend soul ability properly, if an enemy runs away, you can delay their healing process and possibly kill them if theyre on low enough hp. you just have to time it right Your orbs are outputting AoE Damage that travels through the air like a projectile. you can use it to prefire entraces and close off corners damaging enemies as they try to peek and using rend soul on them around corners plus the aoe damage makes it very forgiving when hitting enemies and multiple enemies. the mortal reach ability is nice, 20% buff to healing ticks, but the option to go for soul collector and get a flat 30% damage and hp buff is great. 3rd ability agony is nice but trying to count up 4 stacks on a guy is tedious and almost distracting in the heat of battle, it just takes my focus away from healing and killing Chronos 3 is the only thing i find nessecary. it bumps your heal ability from 2 seconds to 1 second, sounds small but is very broken even more so paired with mortal reach. At this point it feels like im on autopilot mode when playing seris, its just too OP so yeah just hold down those two buttons and the game will heal and do damage as fast as it can, makes you a total machine
Never played this game before and I’m thinking of giving a try, is Io already unlocked in the game? Do I have to unlock any characters? I like the video also and I’ll subscribe!

Try the moonlight on landing shots card. crank it to 5 and put bigger moonlight bar on 3 and you get 900 healing worth of moon juice every time you land a shot. compared to all other juice farming cards it can go off 30% more often and does not have the 1 sec delay. in the time that restrictive luna card gives 13% you can get 30% percent off of landing shots. I cant imagine being tied to luna like that. feels really nice to shoot a foe though your tank 3 times in 2.1 sec and then dump 2700 heals on him. also if your build requires your to hug luna all the time why do you have extended placement range?
That last question is a good point. It does serve a purpose: sometimes I like to quickly move Luna over to someone else to heal them real quick, and then move her back to me. That extra distance lets me do that a bit better. I'm by no means an Io expert, that's just the thought process of my build. I've also tried that moonlight on shots card, and it's nice, but I prefer the reliability of Luna generation more. If I miss my shots or a shield gets in the way or something, I'm not getting moonlight back.
@@AndrewChicken understandable, reliability is key. I just find the increased top end output and keeping Luna more independent from io worth it. most the time i have luna swinging separate engagements while I use the speed on heal 4 card to swing fights elsewhere. the ability to effectively keep extending my moonlight bar if i keep landing shots has pulled many team fights out for me. if my build had more room i would be running the increased range card as well.
