Narges is left in the village doing manual work , taking care of the kids surviving until Hamid returns to the village. So why not live in the city? He will not be leaving his family for days and weeks at a time. He can go to class and come home if he is living in the city . Makes sense !!!

I think this time Narges was feeling homesick too about going back to the city.Hamid is beginning to realize it is better for the children and like he said return to the village if the house is not finished during the winter.Hamid always tells people that he misses the village and always ask the children where they rather live.like Narges said, she did not force Hamid to look into the land in the city,but Hamid thought the village was going to be destroyed.it has been more than a couple of months and seems like the destruction will not happen.Sajid is continuing building and have a turkey farm.He hasn’t talked about the destruction.He is the one who upset everyone when Hamid was on vacation.Hamid has had a lot of help from Ali,Perlman and all the workers so the house is getting built faster

Yes she did force his hand by leaving him and blaming him for her unhappiness…. BUT he went to her and all the other drama needs to be forgiven and forgotten. They both need to stop the blame game and get on the same page. Also everyone else in their families need to stop dragging it up and Hamids mother needs to respect her married kids decisions and quit playing the victim role. She manipulates and THAT is selfish and wrong. Hamid and Nargis can find a happy medium between city life and visits to the village. We all grow up and if we don’t life is very difficult and unhappiness abounds!
Hamid has his family believing Narges has him host in the city. Then he gets with Narges and says the city is better fir the kids and he has to do what is best for the kids future.
