Today I am revisiting the Novation Impulse keyboard midi controller. For beginners to experienced producers, I would recommend this controller. In the video, we will dive in-depth with the arp and roll functions available from the hardware and make some music in the process!

great video. is there a hold key function in the impulse 25? i would like to play the arpeggios without needing to press down the keys all the time it's playing
Unfortunately there is not. I would recommend making a midi clip with the notes you want and just playing that to trigger the arp

Hello there I've just got the impulse 25 and I've just downloaded ableton and I'm wondering how do I even get sounds out of this thing I know my sound is working and I tried it last night and so far I've only got the first and last set of keys to work with a drum beat
It depends on the midi device you are using. Whether it’s a drum rack or whatever, check the input channels and make sure the keys you play on the keyboard match up
Also be sure to arm the track so that you can hear it when you play!

Hei bro i have same perspective with you, my 49 impulse somehow error, i want to buy again impulse because of dedicated arpeggio active velocity feature, do you know what other choice have that feature?
Not so sure about other midi controllers with arp features but I know there are some really good synths out there with fantastic arps that can also function as midi controllers
Seach that on RUclips "the hidden danger in the comment section" I would change your password and add two factors authentication. Its about that bot I told you about.

Ableton has a great midi overdub feature that lets you loop and continuously record layers. It is pretty awesome!
Hello. Does the arpeggiator only work with a fixed velocity value?
It is based on the velocity of the key/pad you are using trigger it
Hey markov, should I buy this one or the new launchkey mk3 for live looping?
For live looping I would 100% go with the launchkey it's a bit more integrated with useful features for live looping specifically
why you invert the image of impulse?
Didn't have that great of a camera angle to work with and when all said and done that's just how the video came out.
Did they get rid of the Random? My new impulse 49 has all the other settings except for random. Nice tutorial by the way!!!
