You noted the lvl 20 thing I must share with you, my friend is a creative fella. He's playing with a lvl 20 character, every now and then. No subscription And goes to chromie, to play every expansion except the most recent! Dungeons and everything are available also. :)
Depends what server you play on. I was on remulos and oceanic server. And its completely dead. Even though queues are region wide. I leveled 1-80 on a druid and got 2 dungeon pops between 70-80 and you spend hours in queue for heroic/proto dungeons at 85. If a member of our raid team was unavailable it usually meant we had to 9 man. The AH was dead. We recently moved to a US server and its popping off at any level.
You're right, that's a good point. I play in US so that's why I assumed that, but yeah, I forgot to mention that this might not apply to other servers. Sad to hear they're dead, but I think blizz is gonna be merging them sooner or later at least.
On the EU server i play on its good, lots of players and fast ques. My only issue is that there are more bugs on retail cata than on private servers...but other than that its pretty good

I haven’t really experienced many bugs, but yeah, private servers are also an option to enjoy this cool expansion :)
