- In Norse mythology, Gimlé (alternately Gimli as in Icelandic) is a place where the worthy survivors of Ragnarök are foretold to live on a mountain in a golden-roofed hall. It is described in the Prose Edda and the Poetic Edda as the most beautiful place in Asgard, more beautiful than the sun.

I admit I feel a little self-conscious sharing this, but I feel it's relevant. While I do technically have Nordic blood in me, I'm as brown as they come (black/hispanic) and I found this on a whim looking for background music while working on some art.. and I genuinely find this absolutely beautiful. I don't know much about this, but I love Gealdýr's and Wardruna's music and hope it shows it can reach beyond unexpected boundaries.

Zum ersten Mal via Bluetooth-Box im Schwedenurlaub mit Dachzelt gehört. Ich habe mich völlig in der Musik verloren und währenddessen auf den See vor mir geschaut. To say this song came out at the perfect time in my spiritual journey is just the only way I can explain it without sounding silly to some extent. Everytime I have listened to this song, whether it be in my car or with my headphones, I shed a tear or two, but everytime slowly feel some part of sadness leave me. RUclips ended up getting me so infatuated with this type of sound and scenery I quit my job and left everything a few months ago (29 with no kids, figured if I'm going to leave then I'm at the prime age to do it).
Now I live in a cabin in Alaska, just close enough to a town to get internet. No regrets so far.
Only thing I hear at home during the day is wildlife and wind. Only human activity I hear is the occasional plane.

As far as music goes my taste is mostly inconsistent. Depending on the mood or the circumstances i might go from metal to electronic etc. But your music i can listen to anytime. It just emits a feeling of safety, it has a unique warmth to it. I was waiting impatiently for gimlé to come out and it definitely did not disappoint. I don't usually write comments but i wanted to express this(and sry for the weird english or syntax). We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the music that you produce and the feelings that you awaken in everyone!

Special thanks for the Old Norse lyrics. It's like a time machine. And we have lost too much by allowing ourselves to be torn from the ground on which we stand. In these dark times that humanity is going through, it's time for us to get back to our roots.
