CTO, fantastic analysis! I believe the scenarios you outlined are highly probable. My biggest concern is a major retracement sidelining institutional investors. Ultimately hodler's will appreciate the marketing budget of these large firms. Ride the wave!

I agree, it will probably take time for real money to flow from ETF to marketcap of BTC. With gold it took 6 months, i suspect volatility the coming time and i'm ready for both scenario's. I got dry powder left and always money coming in from 9-5 job to dca or lump sum to take advantage from the dips. Thanks CTO for the info.
with crypto it's never been about logic and technical things. It's always been about "Sell the news". The news about "Approval" itself will increase price way more than volatility, etc

I think we underestimate the scope of ETF providers expectations. Current price is nothing to what they plan - BTC way beyond the everyday person considers afgordable: 6 figures and more. So a retrace, possibly, but only after they've pumped it to near ATH - 67 back to 50 then off to the 100ks

Everyone is expecting a huge bull run after the approval but also everyone is expecting sell the news. Everyone will be wrong if price doesn't move at all and stays within the range

Nothing is priced in except a few nerds and critical thinkers. A 100B input would see BTC 10x from here.

I’ve been through this before. I hate making quick decisions in the panic of the moment. I remember the ‘let the train move by’ video and waiting too long to consider/digest and then having to scramble. Therefore I’ve been reducing my exposure as we keep hitting resistance and moving some profits to the side on a daily basis. If we unexpectedly pump or dump then I’m not fully exposed either way. Sure I might miss out some profit or loss but imho reducing risk is the way to go here.
I don’t know.. I feel it’s to good to be true… waiting for the largest holders to take profits ..crash the market and buy lower. I feel like it’s to easy and that means something is coming

I have a question that I wondered your view on.
Bitcoin has typically adhered to a four year cycle due to the block reward halving. If these ETF’s get passed and billions of dollars of investment get poured into the market cap through investment funds, will it affect the four year cycle? Because the investments will be gradual and consistent maybe the Bitcoin price won’t fluctuate so much? Thanks
With the gld n slv ETF's, if you have enough shares to make a "basket," you can take delivery on physical. It's bull crap you don't get the choice of usd or btc with these new ETF's, especially if you had a lot.
I think this is different. I think bitcoin will go way up and will have less volatility than usual. It will become an asset for wealth. Technically pricing itself out of use. Then Solana and Etherium will be the top 2 currencies. This might take a couple years but i believe this will happen.

CME was a top, Coinbase IPO was a top, BTC ETF will be a top. On both of these scenarios when the event was announced there was a pump and when these products started trading is where the top came in. I suspect the same will happen for the ETF.
My only worry is the shenanigans these financial institutions will play.

No scenario where btc drops from its present price? Is that a bias by omission? Might it not be a reasonable consideration to see 40% pull back so the halving actually has its effect on price?

If there is no ETF approval, I think after the drop, it will be FOMO like we've never seen before. This is because all the bears, all the shorts, all the longs with any spare cash, all the people on the sidelines will get in as it's a guaranteed approval in March. Whereas right now, there are people on the sidelines, there are bears still, there are bulls who are not fully invested yet. After a rejection, it feels like a no brainer, guaranteed March approval, might as well go all in.

I think it’s going to shoot up to 60,000 then trade sideways and go up slowly every couple of weeks.
All you need to know is that 2 billion from one bank is a drop in the bucket with a trillion dollar market cap for a 60k BTC.
Will probably see a 55 to 60 k BTC and then a drop-down at the halvening before the beginning of the bull run.
If you've been waiting for the bottom this whole time you should be buying alts because you're not buying BTC at this point unless you're loaded.
My bags are packed it can go anywhere I'm ready if it goes down to 40 k I'll gladly buy more alts

Any coin needs more dollars coming to rise. Do you think the institutional / Wall Street money will flow to your alt coins? It might be more likely that coins will see btc dominance riding as new big money flows 100% to btc ... Just saying it looks pretty obvious to me. 18 months from now I expect we will see btc dominance at 80%. It's all about the new money and it sell flows btc starting on Thursday.

It smells like ''sell the news'' event if etf approved if etf rejected then distribution event which in my opinion already in process. Conclusion; Btc goes south soon.
Let’s face it guys. Any fund wanting to buy bitcoin soon will want the best price. I’m guessing market manipulation is possible therefore a fall is a real possibility…but how far.
I agree with the decrease to around $36-38K before June. Every cycle had the 70+% increase followed by 30% decrease and then off to the races. I expect the ETF news and Halving will create this wonderful entry point.
I think we temporarily peak around $51-52K before the 30% retracement.

Simple, Bitcoin ETPs are buying at a rate of 23000 Bitcoin a day, if this is sustained by 1st May the 1.8mn on exchanges will be used up, and the long term holders will have to be shaken from their positions! Easy? Not so fast, you are going to approach the halving at the same time roughly, and will need prices in excess of $500k to $1m to get those diamond hands to unclench!
IMO…BTC ETF will drive slow, gradual flow of $…not explosion.
