I jjust got one of these lamps and some ghee and was hoping someone out there had made a video with some tips. Thank you for making this lovely, peaceful video!
Hi Katrine, thank you for this video! Your ghee lamp is really very beautiful! Just a little remark, in Vedic scriptures it is said that, actually we should never blow out the fire with our mouth, it is considered an offense to Agni Dev - the demigod in charge of the fire element. In India it is a well known fact. Every time we light up any fire, the Agni Dev is present there. So it's better not to offend Him! ))) We should just press the wick with some small object, like a spoon, or whatever else, or wave it out with the hand. Thank you.
Oh thank you dear Marina for this wonderful message! I have never heard this. I will remember it next time I light my little ghhe lamp. The light of God - as it is - in physical form. And as all of Gods creation - we must treat it with deep respect. Bless you dear sister! love and ligjht Katrine
Hi Katrine. Thank you. What a video - packed with so much passion :-) amazing how you enjoy the ghee lamp :-) I also bought one today for a Sadhguru mediation this week. I found out it works also with Sesame oil. At least for me a novelty in Austria. Thx for sharing your experience.
What a lovely video, by a delightful lady! I use Tibetan butter lamps, with a simple hole in the bottom for the wick. I also make the wick out of medical cotton wool, by twisting it tightly. Looking forward to seeing more videos by you.
Hi, I am from India and we use it every day as it's considered as good luck... One tip, we can also use a cotton wick.. I hope it helps... I was just curious to watch the video and I loved it... God bless
Thanks for the video! Helpful tips. We’ve been making candles with bees wax this year. Our family loves candles. Then this months we’ve been making ghee. Love the magical ghee.
Hi , madam I like this video .But one thing I want to share that we Indians never blow off the ghee diya with our mouth . We put just as much ghee in diya as needed & then let it lit untill every drop of ghee is uesd up . Kiran
not using the traditional wicking material in the form used in india. There is a purity with a material that is as close to nature as possible that a braided wick cannot give you.

Yes the ghee lamp has to be in quite a warm place....Mixing some oil into the ghee will help. But that might not be ok for you....
Hi where can I order the wick you have ? Thank you awesome video
Thank you! At a hobby shop online - maybe amazon...This lamp will burn for about 6 hours

Where did you get your lamp? I like it.
Amazing ghee no soot and fumes like oil lamps. Indian brass lamps are the best age old technology that works. Great share.

Ghee diya is air purifier.
Hi Katrine!
Gluttony is my vice and I'd much rather eat the ghee than burn it.
