I died. I was jumped over a girl I was dating by two guys. I just got home from a party and was very drunk. I later found out I can alcohol poisoning. I was lying in bed and heard my mother screaming outside and I noticed a light shining through my window. I ran outside because I thought my mom was being hurt. All of a sudden, I am being punched in the face. It took the guy about 5 -6 punches to get me on the ground. When he did, he started kicking me. He kicked me until I looked like elephant man. I rolled over as I was passed out. Vomited and inhaled it, collapsing my lungs. I lied there suffocating for several minutes. I remember feeling intense pain to the point that I could not take it anymore. I was shot into visions where I was going through every moment I had ever experienced in my life. I remember it happening backwards. From end to beginning. I remember seeing myself being held by my mother. Her telling me she loved me. Then I was in a room, and I was standing in front of a bed. I saw a little girl sitting in the middle of the bed around 1-3 years old holding her arms out for me to pick her up. She had a little ponytail sticking straight up. I walked towards the baby but soon as I did, I was shot all of sudden in the air. Everything got warm, numb, I felt better than I had ever felt in my entire life. I started lifting off the ground. I was looking at my own face as I slowly drifting up. I could see the Emt's frantically trying to save my life. I was drifting up, and I remember being able to see, hear, and even look around, and I remember feeling amazing. I looked to see my hands and I had none. I had no body, or even feet. I remember someone floating next to me and everything I thought he answered. I remember questioning everything. Life, Death, the point of all this. I remember him saying "Because I wanted it to". "Because I love you". I never could turn enough to see him. He was just out of reach of my sight. I was not religious at all up until this point. But I knew deep down in my heart that this was Jesus Christ. And nothing ever loved me more than this man could. I was resuscitated and woke up in the Cleveland Clinic a day later full of pain. I remember wanting to go back so bad. I was sad and angry. I felt like I was robbed. Two years later my wife gave birth to a little girl. That little girl looked exactly like the vision I saw in what I call, *My life review*. Jesus is 100% our light and our way. Everyone will get their chance to meet him.
I get tested daily with my faith and I hold strong to the almighty Jesus Christ. Please say a prayer for me to stay strong. In May, I will be 1 year sober.
My father was a surgeon in Detroit in 1970s. He said he lost a patient on the table and brought her back. The next day she told my dad that she saw him when she was floating above her body and everything that took place. Then she said that there was a medical tool on top of a cabinet in the OR. Dad went to that OR room, got a stool and looked on top of the cabinet. There was a hemostat on top of the cabinet. He was a Christian man and loved to tell this story. Now he is in Heaven and I have carried in telling this story. So there you go! Amazing.
@@childofGodandMary Only that there is no reason to believe it is true. If it was, everybody from every faith claiming to have gone through a NDE , would all give the same description. I had a near death experience at 16. I was floating up from my body and I could see myself and the doctors and nurses working on me as I passed them by and floated higher and I had a sudden thought about my mom and how she would cope about me gone and in that split second I got a response telepathically. It was a male voice "even when I talk to myself in my head I still sound like me" and He said He would take care of her and she would be ok. And I trusted Him completely and I KNEW nothing bad would ever happen again. And the feeling, it's indescribable. No words. I felt unfathomable peace and the love and it was beyond anything, I felt I was finally in a family, a big family and I belonged there all this time, like it was the home that truly was mine all along. As I was right below the ceiling for what seemed like a minute maybe 2 I started going back down ( I was being shocked back to life) and I suddenly became really frightened and I started screaming NO NO NO as I started decending and then I entered my body and it was the most awful feeling and I've never been so disappointment. Going back into my body was like putting on heavy wet cold muddy clothes. It was devastating!! I didn't want to go back! But eventually I realized that I needed to KNOW God's supernatural power to experience this immense belonging and love beyond comprehension, I was not meant to stay, but was meant to KNOW. I heard Jesus's voice. The most soothing voice ever. This testimony has given me a confidence that burns to get others saved! And I'm so grateful I had this supernatural experience. Because at the time I didn't know I would be a foot soldier for God and would dedicate myself to fighting for souls for Him. Oh yeah so I've never seen my mother cry except once when she had to deliver the news to me that my father had died. And when I first woke up to my mom crying again with the same pain and anguish I've only seen once and the first thing I said, "who died??"
@@Pose005 that's a very good question since I didn't receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit till I was 31. However at age 6 I looked up at the sky and invited Jesus in to my life. I had no idea at that age what salvation was nor the gospel nor being saved, I just knew I was afraid not to know Jesus and was eager to have Him in my life and I really wanted Him to love me. I was also born into Catholicism. I was seeking Jesus no Mary nor saints. So yes that's a very good question sadly I have no real answer for. But yes Jesus was already a part of my life.
Diana F G , I overdosed. I called myself a Christian, but I was not truly born again, I am now baptized with the Holy Spirit and have a real relationship with Jesus. I was above my body, a demon was coming to take me to hell, I can’t describe how terrifying the voice of this demon was, from the ceiling I was telling myself to wake up, it never even occurred to me to call on Jesus, but yet He had mercy, and I was lowered into my body, and the demon left. Sadly I battled with drugs and alcohol for sometime before I surrendered my life to God, what a beautiful experience that was!! God bless you and keep you safe thru this time of the Corona virus.
In 2018, I bled out and died on the operating table and I had a similar experience, I remember floating over the operating table listening to the Doctor shouting at one Nurse to hurry up with the Cuff on the I.V. Bag to push blood into me and another nurse to get a larger bore needle into the artery in my other arm to push plasma into me to get my blood pressure back up then I felt a strong pull upwards and the next thing I know I am being shown the glory of Heaven, I felt the Love and Compassion of Heaven then was sent right back and woke up in the recovery room, I did not see GOD or Jesus or any relatives I only saw and felt the love and compassion of Heaven. When the Doctor came into the recovery room I told him about my crazy dream and he turned white as a sheet and told that is exactly what had happened, he told me that while they were removing the bone chip from the shattered L-4 vertebra on my Lumbar spine he cut an artery and I bled out on the operating table and that he shouted at the nurses to do exactly what I just told him about in what I thought was my crazy dream. Now my faith is unshakable.
That is absolutely a breath taking testimony. I'm sorry for what physically happened but your faith is beautiful from what happened. God bless you friend.
The brain remains active for several minutes after a person dies. This is a well established medical fact. The brain is one of the last organs to shut down so it's entirely possible for you to have heard things that occured only seconds after your death. The peace and love one feels near death can also be well explained by an evolutionary mechanism to ease suffering during the death process. You can see this is in prey animals that are being eaten alive, a sense of tranquility come over them at a certain point.

My little sister had cystic fibrosis and she passed away at age 5 in 92. Im 2 years older than she is so I remember very well the events of all that went down as well as my mother she shares the same memory. My sister had been very sick and admitted to Emory hospital in early November and my mother never left her side. While she was admitted I stayed with my grandma (this was common) well anyway... I was in school and my mom and sister picked me up from school and I was soooo excited to see them and on the ride home (we are country people we live a mile in the woods off to ourselves) my sister says " mama, let's pick wildflowers." And it's November so of course there are none (but her favorite thing to do is pick wildflowers) So mama says "baby there are no flowers now we have to wait until spring" and (never misssing a beat, all nonchalant) my sister replied "that's ok I'll pick flowers with Jesus" my mom got so upset and thought someone had told her she was going to die. She said "who told you that you were dying?" She said "Jesus, he told me i have to go soon but it's ok we will pick flowers and wait for y'all" I have never forgotten that in my life. My sister passed away 2 days later. It was the last day before Thanksgiving break at school and her tracher asked her to draw a photo of what she was thankful for. She drew a picture of me, my parents and herself with angel wings and a halo. She had more faith in one hair than most do in a lifetime.
@Link of Hyrule Well if you deny all the evidence, explains why you don’t find any. God bless you. Look at your life and evaluate it. Realize why you’re so upset, and take into account that (1) There’s no rest for the wicked, and (2) your sins aren’t forgiven. He gave examples of provable NDEs.
@Link of Hyrule Depends on what you constitute as evidence. Would you say that a man who lives in luxury, and would find no benefit in finding Jesus, but then converts to christianity because of encountering Jesus, would that be strong testimony? I cried out for a sign the morning my Mum passed. Sobbing up the stairs I begged for a reassurance she was ok once my foot hit the last step. Before her stroke we talked of her giving me a sign when she dies. In the lockdown I stayed with my parents and we used to watch little blue birds in their garden. Her favourite bird and her favourite song was about a bird by Eva Cassidy. As soon as I stepped onto the landing a little blue bird was flying inside the house and landed on the floor and looked at me. I cried Mum out loud and I knew what her message was. I replied out loud no I won’t slip into depression yes I will be the best Dad possible and she also told me to get back to karate training. Eatt try lied that morning I woke at 4am seeing colourful flashes and hazy lights with a presence. 4 hour later my brother told me Mum went at dawn. Now I am a complete believer and know we go to a higher beautiful realm.
I had an NDE when I was 11 years old. I don't know why they call it that because your not "nearly", dead, your dead and then you're in another existence then your re-entr your body. I suffocated by inhaling too many helium balloons in a row without breathing regular air in between, this causes rapid suffocation. I went up through the ceiling into a vast void full of other souls. I said to one of them, "I don't know what to do" and he replied "Your angel will come get you". then he continued on until I couldn't see him any longer. (Later when I became an adult I was looking through old pictures that my dad had and I finally recognized who that man was, it was my great grandfather who I only met once when I was 2). Then an angel grabbed onto me and took me up towards a brighter and brighter light. But then I heard my older brother shout my name from down below me and as soon as I looked down towards where he was calling me from the angel released me and I fell back down at what was a very fast speed. I passed down through the void into view of my house like coming back into Earth from space, down through the roof and ceiling at the last instant I saw my body on the floor, laying on it's side beside the footstool with my back facing the footstool. I fell into my body an awoke completely aware of where I just was and what I just saw. My body was tingling with pins and needles like when your leg falls asleep really badly except it was everywhere, from head to toe and I was very cold. I started gasping and sat up in shock and began to cry. I was in the exact place and position I saw myself when I was coming back down through the ceiling. But the place where I blacked out was several feet away at the other end of the coutch. I was also standing when I lost consciousness so there's no way I could have known where my body ended up or in what position it was lying in. When I first sat up my two brothers were standing at the bottom of the stairs looking over at me on the floor. My middle brother was kneeling and crying and my eldest was shouting my name and slapping a yard stick on the railing to make a loud noise, I suppose to try to get a response out of me. His was the voice I heard calling me back. I didn't have any idea how long I was gone. Time seemed different there. It could have been hours. My brothers said I was on the floor for several minutes, maybe 5 or 6. I don't know why I'm telling this except that I know what I know, where I was and what I saw and it wasn't this world. I believe in Jesus, His angels, our souls, and the afterlife which should be called the True life.
I’m starting to go back to my faith in God after realizing that I can’t find my true self without a connection and a belief in a true creator. I’ve had my doubts about Religion but it’s really a relationship through Jesus Christ.

Sounds like your body went into shock after inhaling gas... Sounds like quite the trip. Hallucinating isn't very credible evidence, but I'm glad you're alive
The fact the bible says that women found and report the empty tomb is amazing to me. Women's position in Jewish society makes this even more wonderful. They could've come up with a more socially acceptable scenario if they were making it up. Jesus's disciples were shown in the gospel as they were. They didn't sugarcoat their flaws and shortcomings to make a better story. These men actually walked with Jesus and saw him perform miracles. They helped him on his journey to spread the word. These guys were with him on his last day and heard him say he'd be killed and resurrected. When Jesus was at his most vulnerable his closet friends abandoned him. They were running for their lives and seemed to lose faith. When he appeared to them 3 days later the holy spirit stayed within them. Out of the 12 men 10 of them were brutally murdered later spreading the gospel of Jesus. They wouldn't have faced a brutal death if They knew that Jesus's death and resurrection were lies.
@@lionzion1879 They ran off when he was crucified why would they sacrifice their own life later when they didn't right then? They were afraid at first. They must have seen something that made them believe enough to get themselves killed to change like that. They had to have reallly seen him come back to life. Would you sacrifice yourself for something you believed in if you had doubts? Probably not. But if you KNEW it was true, then that changes things doesn't it
@@kaylee1leri1love that can be explained in a way that doesn't need a resurrection. Being a martyr is not new. People have been dying for their beliefs for centuries and it's even happening today. Doesn't make it any truthful than what they claim. It just means you're willing to die for what you believe to be true. They ran off cause they we're afraid to die. But when they've seen Jesus died for what he believed, then they believe they had to the same. As in my lord did it, I will follow. Think about it. If Jesus came back to life then they don't need to go around and die for it. Jesus would just show up to the non believers right?. Not the case here though
Using logic and reason, tell me with 100% honesty that you truly believe its common for people to willingly die for something they KNOW to be a lie? On top of that, the historically documented and accepted claims from Non biblical sources that bolster the evidence of their martyrdom. On top of that, explain 500 people claiming to see him at one time; and Paul claiming that the majority of them were still alive at the time of his letter. People could've asked around and verified his claims. Explain Christianity EXPLODING out of Jerusalem, the very place all of this was claimed to have happened, they could've easily verified if it was true or not; the best place to start a religion on a lie wouldn't be the place you're claiming it to have happened. @@lionzion1879

those lines are rather convoluted and apparently written decades after yeshua's death, by an author who has never been convincingly identified as one of the "twelve". So there is reasonable doubt that yeshua said the things claimed therein. And never mind that in "John" there are extensive "quotes" not found in the other "synoptic" gospels. So either yeshua said these things only to "john" or did not say them to anyone who regarded them as important enough to keep notes on such statements. Maybe your church friends have not admitted these things, but those among them with an actual education, are probably aware of it. And those not, believe things they do not actually understand in the first place.
@@lauraandrews1676 I do not need to "cast doubt". anyone who can read the KJV, can do it "horizontally" as bart ehrman suggests: compare supposedly parallel passages (for example those in the synoptic gospels). They do not even agree with one another, nor very well with "john" or the peters, let alone "acts". If those stories do not hang together, it is strictly "faith" that is the basis for apologist ideology. Not the book.

"Jesus" doesn't exist , that name was not even in the Bibles from 100AD to 1600AD ....The character that the Romans and the so called church founding fathers believed was "Mithra" a king of Persia whose the gospels portrayed to be...Mithra was born of a virgin, born on December 25th, The Star in the east with three wise men from the East ..were three astrologers priests for this god. Mithra who was baptized at 30, known as the light, the truth, and the life, his blood save people, performed miracles , he turned water into wine, walked on water, had 12 disciples, died and 3 days later resurrected and Mithra was worshiped on Sunday. IS THIS A MERE COINCIDENCE THAT MATCHES THE SO CALLED "JESUS" DESCRIPTION???? Don't believe me? Watch the video link. Interestingly enough, the other pagan nations had also known Messiahs with the same description attributes like Mithra like Horus Egyptian god 3000BC, ,Attis from Greece 1200BC, Krishna 900BC, Dionysus Greece 500BC, Tammuz Babylon 500BC, etc. Google these names and you will find out that Christianity is a FRAUD. It was so heartening to see a first class scholar and born again believer like Dr. Habermas. My return to Christ was strengthen by his own faith and objective writing. I no longer need to be persuaded by NDE stories. Praise God!!
The Bible is so credible. If hearing NDE stories help, fine. I understand, but there have been so many others besides the apostles (not to mention the Old Testament prophets who pointed toward the coming Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world) who recorded things they'd seen & were not necessarily believers. Feed your faith w/ His Word, George, dear.
@pippin1962 And if you were EVER truly a Christian, which I highly doubt - more like a wolf in sheep's clothing- you have the same comfort to know that your Savior said, 'I know my Sheep. No man can take them out of my hand'. So no matter how you rail n hate n spit against Him, He has you. Even YOU can't take you out of His hand. But...I still think you NEVER WERE CONVERTED. If that's the truth, enjoy Hell, your chosen future. 😚👹
One time I was in the shower, feeling depressed about my life, like I wasn’t doing enough. I asked God, “I don’t understand, what is wrong with me, why is life so dull, how can I serve you” In that same instant I was transported into my backyard, clothing on, completely dry. I looked around and saw that there were many more plants in there usually were. As I looked around some more, signs started appearing on these plants. All of them naming different parts of my life; Family, school, prayer, ect. But they were also bad plants. Porn, social media, sloth, wrath, ect. As I looked around, even more, I noticed that the good plants were not as big as I’d like them to be, in fact, some of them were almost dead, looking like they had suffered from a drought. On the other hand, most of the bad plants looked like they were flourishing. I looked down at my hand and saw a water bucket that said “time and energy”. It all made sense then. It was such a simple answer, but a very important one. I was transported back to the shower in the exact same position I was when I left. You only get so much water each day for your plants. I knew that if I wanted to make a change, I needed to start putting my time and energy into the good parts of my life, and starve the bad parts.

@GO*CAN*ZUK The statement is the equivalent of "Christ has risen" and is stating a present-perfect fact. It's stating an eternal truth that not only did he rise all those years ago, but he remains risen now. That is, not just "he has risen" but "he is risen" and risen is closer to being an adjective than a pure participle, sooooo yeah, lol it is grammatically correct! Also, my comment is scripture...Matthew 28:6 “He is not here; for HE IS RISEN, as he said...” so no, it isn’t “he has risen” ...
@Cam montreuil engines funny. Christianty is the largest growing religon out there. Hm. And things are getting easier and easier for christians everyday, they basicly run the country, so what are you talking about?
@Cam montreuil engines oh no I understand njust fine. You can't just brush it off as if you are better then me. This is what I'm talking about right here. YOU don't know the foul, and vile roots of your dogma so you are going to have a superiority complex and act like you are super smart on the subject and then proceed to tell me I'm living wrong? What's your problem? You know of the dunning kruger effect? That's how I feel christians live. They know less about the subject then most other people who have studied the religon or studied the bible, without the dogma and watered down hog wash. If you are going out of your way to make life difficult so that you may have some sort of reward after life, then you I'm afraid are doing it all wrong. I was a Christian for 20 years. Then I learned all about the dogmatic religon based on vicarious atonement, and human sacrifice. It has rituals that stem from pagan blood Magick, and sun god worship. These apologetic style videos are lacking in serious substance. Watch an actual doctor that wasn't brainwashed by religon talk about these subjects, they have facts and info. This guy had feelings and ideas. That's cute but it means nothing.
Thank you for posting one of the greatest Biblical historians on this channel. Your approach of introducing the greatest scholars on both sides to popular culture, is a great service, to both theist and atheists alike. Thank you Cameron.
A christian could be forgiven for falling for such absurdity due to the coercive delusion they are afflicted with. I've been there myself. However, if an atheist were to find this "evidence" to be in any way compelling it would indicate they were a fool or fundamentally naive.
I found my way back to Christianity only recently. I can’t explain the pull towards it, it’s just happening. I choked to death as a toddler, and I saw a white light, I was brought back just in time. Sometimes I see it in my dreams (white light) and I awake. Perhaps it is the fact I had one toe dipped on the other side why I now feel this pull as an adult.
I never died but I remember falling in and out of consciousness one time. I woke up and fell back and saw white and heard voices then woke up gasping for air it happened twice. Was it like this?
Jesus had ten disciples and lets follow their lives: Judas committed suicide after betraying Jesus,John died a natural death on the island of Patmos where he wrote Revelations, the last book in the Bible. The other ten were put before a test, deny Him or die . They chose to die a martyr's death. They would not have done that for a dead god. They saw and witnessed the resurrected Jesus.
@@allstargaming5270 The book that claimed Jesus's resurrection, also claimed Thousands of saints resurrected on third day also, travelling around went up to Jerusalem. In Acts you have the Saducees & Pharisees in dispute about the resurrection. Because the Pharisees believed in it, but the pharisees did. If the thousands of saints did resurrect, and walked around, why are the Saducees still in denial. Why didn't the pharisees reference the event of an indisputable resurrection of the dead? I am not athiest, still believe in God, but these questions are very important to me. Alot of things seemed off. In Acts at pentecost, Peter quoted Isaiah or Ezekiel saying in the last days I will pour my spirit on all flesh, Peter considered his day the last day. Which was 2000 years ago. So 6000 years of human history, and in year 4000 was considered the last day. Those are the middle of days not the last days. Jesus said SOME OF you standing hear would not see death, until you see the son of man, coming in glory with the Angels. Yet they all died and Jesus isn't here. So these are great concerns I have. Hope you can address them.
I agree with the Amen for each comment. I made a decision to love God. First in my head and now that love for our Savior is in my heart and soul. I feel very fortunate to love our God as I do. I pray the Holy Spirit never departs from any of us. That would be frightening. God bless all!
Rick, Stay in the Word and pray. Jesus said He gives us His Spirit, so there you go, believer. He also said He'd be with us, each of us who believe He's the Christ, 'til the end of time. Don't let fear grip you. That's Satan's mode. Command the devil in Jesus' Name to get behind you, to leave!!
I've been quiet for years about why and how I love Jesus; a lot of evangelicals drive me crazy with their hellfire, judgment, etc. What's in this conversation is beneficial to the overall conversation, too. I believe in a Christ of inclusion, one who loves us all. My own 2 NDEs convince me of that. We all go home to our loving Creator - a place where the love is beyond anything we could describe on earth. Blessings to all. And thank you again for this video.

Rod. I've been reading and listening to Dr Herbert's for years now. He always produces highly researched, very intelligent and insightful, scholarly work. It's hard not to have a lot of respect for a man who is highly passionate about his work and following Christ, while showing respect to Atheists and admitting when evidence is lacking in certain areas of Christianity. Thanks for the great talk. We all seek Truth and understanding (knowledge/Wisdom). We Christians , our Atheist brothers and sisters and most everyone else. We are not going to all agree. Even so , I love how we can debate. If we don't listen to other people we will learn very little. Touching souls, it really matters.
The Bible says that Jesus came out of the tomb. As a Bible believing man I know it happened. What I had to do was put my doubts in the Holy Spirit's hands and constantly remind myself that Jesus is alive and well. That sounds easy. That even sounds trite. However, it is true and it did happen. Sometimes the knowledge that Jesus is truly the King of Kings makes all the rest of what I think seem unimportant. Praise to YOU my Living Lord. Forgive my disbelief and strengthen my heart.
Seriously flawed logic here. Talk about circular reasoning- you want to believe something your intelligence tells you is nonsense but you tell yourself you believe it anyway. There’s an expression that describes that but I can’t think of it right now. Delusional?
RAY RAY RAY RAY 1. I am not cold hearted, I am extremely caring, loving, altruistic and empathetic. 2. I am not stubborn, as I will always change my ideas if presented with convincing evidence. 3. As Jesus died 2000 years ago, I seriously doubt that he’s in any position to love anybody. I am not convinced he really loved anybody when he was alive, actually, since he told people to leave their families and sell all their possessions with no good reason.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most important event EVER!!!!He rose from the dead to save all sinners.....end of story.....it took me 45 years to understand it but i attribute it to the Holy Spirit lifting my veil
Jesus saved my life, so to Him I owe Him not only my life but everything in it. How amazing it is to know the creator of the universe cares about me, and loves me, and died a death I deserved just so I could spend eternity with Him. @@mickqQ Then why do people believe that day follows night and night follows day? Why do people believe that when they sit down in a chair that the chair will support them? Why is it that when you attempt to stand up you believe that you will stand and expect to stand? You may say, ",That's not faith, that's expectation." However, the reason why you expect it to happen is because you have faith that it will happen. People live by faith every day but they don't realize it.
Agnostic skeptic here. Just bought the book cause, how can you not. I have to know if this guy isn’t just blowing smoke or if there really is something to this. I want the know what’s really the truth and this got my attention.
The true explanation, whatever it is, will be the explanation the most easily accounts for all the evidence. The remarkable thing is that when you gather in all the historical evidence concerning early Christianity and you go through a list of possible explanations, you'll eventually find that the explanation that most easily accounts for this evidence is that Jesus was resurrected from the dead.
Christian leaning agnostic here. I've looked into this a bit and what I'm gathering is that when you look at the evidence, you have to conclude that either Jesus rose from the dead, or you've got to say something really weird happened and we don't know what. Which is okay.
The Vulture or perhaps it is an interesting story or legend based loosely on facts or even entirely made up, there are many possibilities but to suggest that a person resurrected is silly. And even if it happened (which it almost certainly did not) it does not suggest that a god exists even in the slightest bit
Romans 1:22 is the evil trick you can always use if you want to obstruct ANY rational argument that is not in your favor. It's purpose is to "protect" insecure believers from sensual arguments that contradict your purpose. That's dangerous as you can see in the USA today. The Evangelical Trump-base is not amenable to facts and even believes that Trump has been established by their god. Romans 13:1-7: "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience." www.haaretz.com/us-news/.premium-the-real-story-behind-the-nazi-establishment-s-use-of-romans-13-1.6194455
@Rolf Leseratz You just proved the veracity of Ro 1.22. Even if the material were lies it was a written account by someone else who wrote it. So how would you know if Paul really made any given statement?
@@wassilykandinsky4616 I'm a christian and I would be the first to agree with you. But it's far more complicated than that. I truly believe many who claim to be Christians are not. And there are many who are uninformed. On top of that they seek more mundane comforts from the likes of Trump and ignore the really important aspects of what we should have as a Presidential leader. In other words they compromise the presidency. I'm not partisan so I can say we didn't have very much to choose from. Think about that from the Democratic platform we endorse! Concerning the scripture you quoted here, you must look at the context of what it's saying. I hope you are not trying to say that it's condoning a blind endorsement. It is actually talking about living a good life. It condemns doing wrong in light of the powers that be. And that rulers keep the status quo. And (as much as I hate to say it) deserve our respect. And that we should actually pray for them. This is nothing new. The O.T. has graphic examples of how God uses evil rulers to chastise his people and then does away with them himself through other nations. At any rate we are held accountable to the law. It didn't mean any law. It's like I said had to do with good in the Christian context. Because there was a chance of rebelling this would've quashed any attempts at revolution. The reason being that Jesus is quote as saying in the gospel of John " my kingdom is not of this world, if it were my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders"... As a consequence these evil Jewish leaders are complicit with the Roman government crucifying Jesus which resulted in humanity's salvation from death by his resurrection. Thus believers are held to a higher standard and to be good citizens by mandate of that kingdom. This a nuanced tricky subject in the bible. Most frustrating would be slavery. But there are reasonable answers, most of all not to subvert the powers that be through violence. In the biblical scheme, if you did do something like that you would be fighting against God's will.
I was brought to Jesus and fought the devil every step of the way Jesus won! I’m free all worldly desires, thank you Jesus for the beautiful changes in our lives that know you ♥️♥️♥️

Love you Gary, thank you so much for grounding my post skepticism of the extra-biblical evidence in the Shroud of Turin. That is truly an artifact and true relic. Blew my mind and I never heard of the Shroud, not until 2 years AFTER I accepted Christ Jesus as LORD from my ex-atheistic world view.
Sorry to burst your bubble my friend but the Turin shroud is a Roman Catholic relic which has nothing to do with the death, burial & resurrection of Jesus. First of all, when you read the resurrection account in scripture & study the burial methods of the Jewish people of that time, you’ll find that the body was wrapped in long bandage type strips with a napkin covering the face. Very close to how the Egyptians buried there dead. This shroud is one piece of material which the bible speaks nothing about. Therefore read the account yourself instead of trusting in relics. The Roman Catholic Church has supposed to have the very nails that nailed Christ to the cross. But can pass these nails of to people as relics for sale. So they have enough nails to shoe every horse in Italy.
stephen mcauley I did read it for myself. Have you looked into the Shroud? Genuinely? Have you ever been able to consider how an artist would even leave no brush strokes on any of the fibers, and could line up the BACK of the man in the Shroud with the front with no bleed through of the instrument and inking etc, what ever it is you assume. And you’re lying as the scripture clearly states it was a *sheet* of fine linen cloth. Not strips. Who is paying you? Lol ...teasing, hopefully. No crisis actors or murking up the blogospheres, I know it pays well. Obvious apologies if you’re not about that life ... But I do believe the Catholic/Universalistic Church did hijack Christdom long ago. Have a blessed one. Jesus is LORD God and he has risen. Risen indeed.
@@hilarioushen4164 The Shroud is a 3D projection on a 2D piece of cloth. Scientists have speculated that the only way that such an image could have been made is a burst of light close to a billion volts. That was not possible in the middle ages and is not possible today. The samples that were tested in the 1980s were contaminated. There were repairs done to the cloth as well. They have also found pollen from the middle east on the cloth and that particular weave of fabric was made in Palestine at the beginning of the first millenium. When they finally do an uncontaminated test it will show that it is the real deal.

The bottom line of the bottom is that G-d wants everyone to be saved but he wants everyone to come to the knowledge of the truth. Believing "deception" will not save people from judgment. People have believed a deceptive gospel that is not according to the prophets. Satan thrives capturing the minds of the unbelievers. 1Timothy 2: 3 "This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." Evil hearts follow deception and rejoice in unrighteousness. Believing in religious lies is evil before G-d and "arrogance " is also evil before G-d. People who don't love the truth will believe a lie...and G-d will send them a delusion to believe a lie. 2Thessa 2: 9-12 "The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with all kinds of false miracles, signs, and wonders.and with every wicked deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe the lie,so that all will be condemned - those who did not believe the truth but delighted in unrighteousness."
@Have Mercy The Protestant Trinitarian doctrine "triune gods" in one being is the same thing like the Catholic triune god. The only difference is in the philosophy being used. The protestants churches teaches it like this: The father , the Son, the Holy Spirit are co-equal, co-eval, god the father, god the son and god the Holy Spirit ( 3 gods in one) also called in three manifestations or forms ( not three persons like Catholics) manifested god-incarnate on the flesh. The protestant churches use a philosophy called "Pantheism" as oppose to Catholics, they used a different philosophical approach . Theologically speaking the protestant or Catholic trinitarian doctrine of ( three gods in one) does not match the words of Christ himself or the Prophets. Read John 17: 3 and John 20: 17 ; Exodus 20:3,4 Deut. 7: 6,7, 11 The doctrine of the Trinity is invented by the Romans specifically the Emperor Constantine who inserted his Mithraism ( Roman & Greek Old Religion) paganistic beliefs in the Abrahamic faith ( by forgery in the Bible through the Vulgate ) to expand his Rome Empire in the entire world with his new religion forcing people to convert including the Jews who got murdered by Christianity. The immaculate conception doctrine is not found in the Messianic prophecies in the Old Testament. Where in the Old Testament was predicted that the God of Jacob will impregnate a woman without sexual relations by a man to bring a demigod as the king of Israel?????. or even worse, God himself will put himself as a 'semen" in the woman's womb?? That's ridiculous. That would contradict what God predicted through his prophets as to how the Messiah supposed to fulfill the Davinic Covenant. You need to read Psalms and isaiah. Actually the messianic prophecy predicted that the Hebrew Messiah will come through the flesh of David or lineage and the tribe of Judah lineage. This can be only done through the patrilineal side not mother's side. Explain this huge messianic discrepancy. This pagan doctrine of God impregnating a mortal woman to bring a demigod as his Son is nothing but Roman-Greek religion not Hebraic.
@Titanium Zone bro, I am a Sephardic Jew...you think i am going to drink the cool aid of Christianity? NEVER. Christianity was murdering Jews to convert into Christianity up until 1948. The gospel is found in 1 Corinthians 15 1-4. All sin is forgiven for literally ALL People. Meaning nobody is going to hell for sin today but rather for unrighteousness because they never believed the message. If you say people still go to hell for their SINS SPECIFICALLY then you don’t probably believe the gospel. I’m going to give this in detail all of our sins the WORLD’S not just believers the world’s sins are not imputed (charged against us)because God reconciled the world unto himself. 2 Corinthians 5:19 says "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." Our sin was nailed to the cross since Christ was made to be sin for us 2 Corinthians 5:21 "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." If Christ was made to be sin and we compare this verse you will see our sins were nailed to the CROSS of Jesus Colossians 2:14 "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;" So our sin was nailed to the cross then Christ shed his BLOOD giving us forgiveness. Forgiveness means granted relief of payment see this in the Merriam Webster dictionary or see this example here Luke 7:42 "And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?" See so when you have nothing to pay you are forgiven! Hebrews 9:22 "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." Remission is the cancellation of a debt automatically connecting with forgiveness throughout all of history when blood was shed God forgave sins. Next, Christ shed his blood at the cross making peace Colossians 1:20 “And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven." So at the cross Christ shed his blood giving us remission/ forgiveness granting us relief of payment of our sins Ephesians 1:7 "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;" So you see we have forgiveness "according to the riches of his grace" we are in the dispensation of grace (God’s time period of Grace) Ephesians 1:3 "If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:" In this dispensation we are granted relief of payment and don’t go to hell for sins that’s already been paid for. You can’t pay for something twice. The wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23 " For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Since Jesus rose again we are no longer in our sins 1 Corinthians 15:17: "And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins." I’m going to end this here. The gospel confirms our payment for sin was made through Jesus’s DEATH at the cross and he rose again leaving our sins in the grave he resurrected without our sins. 1 Corinthians 15 1-4 "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" If you believe this message that How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures(the scriptures I put in this message) you are saved. Once you believe this you are Ephesians 1:13 "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise," Just believe it’s like drinking a cup of water. Your soul is in your hands.
Antony Flew: Richard Carrier described him as *"one of the most renowned atheists of the 20th century"* . But in 2004 he believed in the existence of God the Intelligent Creator of the universe -said: "I had to go where the *evidence* leads.".... “The *evidence* for Jesus' resurrection is better than for claimed miracles in any other religion."
"Flew retracted his statement that a deity or a "super-intelligence" was the only good explanation for the origin of life and the complexity of nature: "I now realise that I have made a fool of myself by believing that there were no presentable theories of the development of inanimate matter up to the first living creature capable of reproduction." But a few years later, well into his 80s at that point, he apparently reversed himself yet again. The “God” that Mr. Flew claimed to believe in is not the God actually worshiped by anybody. At most, it’s a stand-in for “whatever caused the universe to exist.” As such, I find it odd that theists of any sort would look to Mr. Flew’s “conversion” as meaning much of anything, and it’s especially odd (if not outright deceptive) that a Christian would claim that he somehow turned to Christ. Mr. Flew was quite old at the time of his “conversion” and the fact that he changed his position on numerous occasions indicates that he may not have been of the soundest mind at the time. The fact that Mr. Flew did not bother to actually keep up with latest scientific discoveries and theories regarding the origin of the universe and the complexity of life is another indication that he was no longer thinking clearly at the time of his “conversion.” My lack of belief in God has nothing to do with what any particular influential atheist has said on the matter, so it really doesn’t matter to me one way or another when Mr. Flew changed his mind. I don’t feel “betrayed” by this in the least."

Gosh, I love this. So down to earth, so well researched... He's showing the resurrection is certainly, nearly inarguably, *"more probable than not."* And then he exposes the fact that even when confronted with the truth and facts, most people simply don't want to believe, and hence give up the idea that they're "free to sin without consequence" or that their family or friends are when truly, no one is. That flesh, man... I pray everyone can break the bindings and hold it has on them...
"the fact that even when confronted with the truth and facts, most people simply don't want to believe, and hence give up the idea that they're "free to sin without consequence"" Christians often pretend this is a fact. When I ask them for evidence, it turns out that it is just what Christians want to believe about non-believers.
Some proofs.... * 500 Eyewitnesses * Roman Soldiers who guarded the tomb.... Their very lives were at stake if they let Jesus escape. * The Gigantic Stone sealing the tomb.....took multiple soldiers to move it into place to seal the tomb. Literally ZERO PROBABILITY the Roman soldiers would not have noticed disciples/others coming in the middle of the night to "unseal the tomb" by moving said rock, and to "steal Jesus' body away". * The facts were that when the Roman soldiers awoke, the stone was moved. Jesus was gone. * Multiple non-Christian sources write of Jesus' existence and His Displays of Power/ Miracles, including Josephus, Pliny the Elder, etc. Just Google it. * Since it was authenticated that Jesus did amazing feats including healing many people in different cities, it was also authenticated that He raised Lazarus from the dead. Has this event not been accurate, all the people and especially the Sanhedrin and Pharisees would have lain this "ridiculous nonsense" to rest and squashed this rumor. However as it happened instead, they grew INTENSELY OUTRAGED that He performed these miracles, to the point they conspired to KILL HIM. WHICH THEY DID. However Jesus chose to lay His life down, instead of escaping to another city, country, etc. * So if Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, and this was not disproven by the laity, clergy, Sanhedrin, etc., then it stands to reason logically that He had the Power of Life and Death. Therefore any one who can raise others would by all probability have same said power to raise himself. * Extreme amount of copies of New Testament, verifying its authenticity, versus copies of Homer's works. * The testimony of the disciples who died for said testimony of Jesus....this is an amazing point because why would any person willingly be a martyr for something stupid, ridiculous, nonsensical, or a flat out lie. Probability, 0%. * Further, we have resurrections EVERY DAY in America. It's called SHOCK PADDLES. Common knowledge that if you go to the hospital and have a heart attack, the doctors may try to "shock you back to life". Yet people think nothing of it. We are talking flat-lined, technically dead individuals. Yet, we are able to bring LIFE and a heartbeat back into their body, with an electrical force. This wasn't invented in Jesus' time, yet he had this POWER in His hands, even His VOICE, to not only heal, but to raise back to life/heartbeat. If we have this power today, and God has allowed us to have this "power" in the medical field through heightened technology, there's no reason this power wasn't available through Jesus.
@@sweetsunnydaygirl You seem to believe everything your read in the NT, and you sound as though you have been to an "Apologetics for Beginners class". Just a few points. The number of copies of the NT does not verify its truthfulness. There are thousands of copies of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", but it is still fiction. (Interesting that you compare it with Homer, which is also fiction.) And nearly all your points depend on believing the story you get in the NT. Track down the disciples (from primary sources, not books of martyrs) and find out how, when, and where they died. Then try to find out what they believed when they died. There is very little reliable information about them. You will discover that this story of them dying for the belief that Jesus rose from the dead is just a lie that has been told you. Read what Josephus and Pliny wrote. Then read academic discussions about it.
Jesus is the way , truth and the life , no one comes to the Father but by him! Death, burial , and resurrection...faith in that guarantees salvation!!!

... thank you, Dr. Gary Habermas ... as I am new here w/ Capturing Christianity, this is a first for me ... what I find most transformative are the historical records of the descriptions of the Roman soldiers & many, many others of their eye-witness accounts of the metaphysical atmosphere of the Tomb ... there are many testimonies of beautiful, astonishing spiritual occurences , leading up to, during, & after the Resurrection of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ ... as well as the time frame that occurred between the Resurrection & Transfiguration ... Jesus said, during this time, to 'do not touch me, for I have not ascended unto the Father yet' ...so, something is in this as well ... the Letters of Pontius Pilate are profound, I've hardly been so moved & enlightened but by this written historical testimony ... the massive science of the Shroud of Turin is profound in it's truth ... the imaging, the textile truth of the age of the linen, all of the latest imagery as well ... when I first saw a picture of the Shroud on the cover of a book, I instantly startled in joy in recognition ... my heart shouted ... this is my Jesus! ... like you would recognize an old friend from an antique photograph ...& yes, Amen to this ... how wonderful to have preserved for us the women's testimony ...

In the last year of his life my husband "saw" his father many times. He had loved his dad very much and always missed him after he died many years ago. In the last few days of his life, my husband had a message for us from his father. It was the kind of message that needed a name and address before action could be taken. My husband was insistent but could not give me the information to act so I eventually suggested he had had a lucid dream from which he could not fully awaken. Two days later I suddenly found the answers and indeed, we had received information we very much needed.
I use to see and talk with my late son quite often in the year after his death. My youngest son use to tell us his mother had tucked him in at night long after her deaths. I have had clients who routinely interact with deceased loved ones in days after death. This is all quite normal. It does not mean that any apparition was present.
@@tracyavent-costanza346 firstly, the hypothesis isn’t that Jesus doesn’t exist. But that they -[God] exist in the celestial sphere. This is what Paul describes. So Jesus could have been seen by many just as Paul described. What you are raising is the Delusional hypothesis- I am not suggesting I didn’t see my son or my younger son was not tucked into bed by his mother. Rather that is a spiritual matter and not subject history or scientific analysis. But as you have raised the delusional hypothesis: sure, groups of people report the same event whether it Vision of Mary, UFOs or zombies. That is nothing unusual. It is often a culturally laden phenomenon. Ie, folk believe they will experience something and they do. What is at issue is the assertion that a Apocalyptic preacher whose fans called Saviour (that is what the Latinised name Jesus means) was executed for sedition and followers believed raised from the dead [ie, not the Nicene definition of Christ]. There is no evidence at all that such a person ever existed. Which I contend is unimportant-The Jesus as proclaimed by Paul who died in a celestial place in place of our sins is a valid basis for a religion. Almost all religions are based on mythical tales. It would be odd if Christianity was the only one that wasn’t.

@@danedwards931 what’s funny about this comment is that is what satan wants you to believe.. you are essentially siding yourself with the devil. God indirectly created satan yes, but it was lucifer who chose to sin thus becoming satan. God’s angels all have free will just like us, so lucifer choosing to sin against God out of jealousy was his choice to make. As for Job, God allowed satan to very temporarily cause havoc in his life to prove to satan that job was a man of God, not just because he was blessed with riches- which is what satan’s argument was to ask God for permission to test job’s faith. When Job had passed the test God restored everything he had immediately. God loves you you just have to accept him. Enjoyed the video! What’s really awesome and I think one of the greatest proofs that Jesus was God in the flesh and was resurrected from the dead is the fact that 2000 years later we’re still talking about it even though satan tried his hardest to cover up the resurrection from day 1! And if anyone really wanted to know the truth, confess your sins to Jesus, repent, and believe He is who He says He is and you will know the truth then because God Himself will come live in your heart, love you, forgive your sins, and teach you the truth about all of it!!
Amen! :) 😃 Good Point! And as God in the flesh, John 1, Jesus of course has power over life and death, being God the Son :) So of course He had the ability and choice to lay it down and take it up again. "I AM the Resurrection and the Life." - Jesus. 🛐☦️🕎😃😃😃
You MUST be baptized as Christ commanded too. Please do not argue against the truth. The biggest lie the devil ever spread was that you just have to "believe" and you don't need to be baptized because it is a work. Being baptized is a passive act. It is DONE TO YOU, you do not do it. Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38 and on and on. Do not be an agent of the devil by denying the scriptures. Thank God for your testimony and preach the word!!!
@@thedynamicsolo4232 Yes, we should be baptized because we all have the chance and the opportunity to be baptized and make our public confession of faith. But it’s clear that the criminal on the cross next to Jesus went to heaven as Jesus being God in the flesh and God never lies told him that he would be with Jesus in paradise. But it’s obvious that the criminal never had the opportunity to be baptized. Him believing that Jesus was who He said He was is what saved him. And if we get to a point in the final days where people don’t have the time to be baptized, yet they also come to faith in Christ at the last moment just like the criminal on the cross did, there’s no reason to not believe those people won’t be saved as well because God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
I would like to add one more thing on the subject of being baptized. We aren’t saved when we get baptized. But rather, we are saved by God when we “believe” that Jesus is the Son of God, the Messiah, the savior of the world who God sent to be the perfect sacrifice for the sin of the world. Jesus who knew no sin, had the sin of the whole world placed upon Him so we could be forgiven of our sins, be born again by the power of God through the Holy Spirit, and be returned to right standing with God by the blood of Jesus being placed over our heart. So we are saved by faith and faith alone. Being baptized is something we absolutely should do because Jesus was baptized and God’s plan for us is to be baptized and make that public confession of faith. But being baptized is “not” what saves us. God is who saves us when the Holy Spirit comes into our heart the moment we “believe” that Jesus is the Son of God and we ask Jesus to be the Lord of our life. We are saved by faith at that exact moment. Baptism is a righteous act that we perform because it’s part of God’s holy plan of salvation. Baptism does not save us, but rather shows that we have been saved by faith in Jesus. Since we have been saved by faith in Jesus, we are then led to be baptized. Baptism merely shows that we have been saved by God. If we weren’t saved, then we wouldn’t/shouldn’t be getting baptized. Salvation is by faith, not by works or obedience or because we did this right or that right. No, salvation is by faith alone.

But He came into my room "I'm tearing up now reliving this" and knelt next to me and put His hand on my head. Instantly I was in a different realm and more awake and conscious than I've ever been here in this life. I was standing before a cross that was "ETERNAL" and was like a monument. Like our veitnam wall only I knew this monument was eternal and would "never" perish! I remember vividly the feelings and thoughts I had were like WTF is going on here!? The next thing I remember was the highlight of the experience and highlight of my life. I was all the sudden standing before "God's glory/The light"! I immediately bent over putting my right hand on my stomach and the left hand up in front of the light pleading with it to stop! Saying okay, okay, okay I get it,I get it,please stop! All with the BIGGEST smile on my face I've ever had or though possible! Its not that it was bad but WAY,WAY,WAY tooooooooo damb good! The light made it clear to me without one audible word that I am loved beyond my wildest dreams. And that I came from it and "WILL" go back to it and NEVER need to doubt it! After that I remember walking back to what looked and felt like a couranteen/prison with Jesus. Not a word was spoken but I knew instinctively that I had to go back and it wasn't time for me to be where I just was permanently yet!😉 I laid down on one of the 2 bunks in this cell and laid my head back down. Then as Jesus was leaving the room I picked my head up and just said "WHO ARE YOU" more OVERWHELMED than ive ever been! The next morning when I woke my body was vibrating and pulsating like never ever before! I had a physical HUDGE SMILE stuck to my face for almost 2 weeks that I could not get rid of if I tried! I could not speak either for atleast 10 days! I could only mumble because I was still SOOOOOOOO OVERWHELMED! Listen I have experimented with several drugs in my life and have had some very cool trips but "NOTHING COULD EVER COME EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE TO THIS EXSPERIENCE"! I wasn't to happy with this world before this experience but now it is definitely just a big hot pile of crap to me now and "I can't wait to go home"!🤗 This ain't it guys! I know there is an awful lot of confusion in the world today about who Yashua/Jesus was and is! "Who do men say that I am"? "Now who do you say that I am"? I say He is the son of God/God in the flesh! And no one comes to the father except through Him. He is the narrow gate and what He did on that cross He did for me! And you if you will only "TRUST" in him? He is called faithful and true for a reason guys! MUCH,MUCH,MUCH LOVE to you all! Thanks for letting me share!🙏

Salvation of Jesus Christ is Free, Wonderful, Loving, Spiritual, Tangible, Unforgettable and Everlasting! That is so awesome to get to know your Salvation Experience! I love to hear how Jesus gives His Grace! And God does have a sense of humor, maybe He got tired of playing with the dinosaurs in His sandbox? 🤔😁 Someone mentioned dinosaurs in another post. 😉 Anyway I too saw/experienced things, the Holy Spirit right before He entered my heart and being FILLED to the point of not being able to withstand it! It was like my chest was getting bigger and bigger and bigger and I was holding my chest and I it was so overwhelming with a pressure from LOVE & JOY!!! I had never felt such LOVE & I was laughing with JOY!!! So much LOVE & JOY! Just overflowing with it! I saw the old me get thrown away! Yes, I saw me, a different me, I knew that it was the old me standing on a street corner, I was dirty and filthy and then all of a sudden the old me shot up in the sky, angling away from me and I heard a voice speak, not audibly, but I still heard it but in me “As far as the East is from the West.” Or more like it, the voice was imbedded or impressed upon me. And I knew I was saved! He told my heart! I did get to see other things, but I feel like those were kinda reserved for me cause of what I was taught/told. One thing I do want to share is that when I got saved I was in a bedroom all by myself and when I opened the door I could feel how awful the world was! I almost hit my knees cause it was overwhelming suffrage and grief and loss. I grabbed for the door frame and that voice was behind me but in me and He said “This is but a very small portion.” And then it was gone and Love & Joy overwhelmed me again and so I went out. He is still with me! Thank you again for sharing your personal and wonderful relationship with Christ Jesus and God Bless You and Yours!

The shroud also is 3 dimensional quality. From what I remember, scientist has determined the the amount of ultraviolet light/power does not exist at this time to be replicated. "The face cloth" of Oviada in Spain is a perfect match with blood stains on the head on the shroud.
The blood type of the Shroud and face cloth are also a match. The clothes are of the same period, and flora evident on both places them definitely in the area of Jerusalem at the time Jesus lived.
In 1961 at the age of 7 I had been I’ll for quite sometime, and no one knew what was wrong with me. One day I was lying down on a day bed and I called to my dad telling him that I’d just seen Jesus and I was going to live in Heaven. The next thing I remember was a ride in an ambulance. The surgeon saved my life by about 30 minutes. He discovered that my appendix had reversed through my large intestine, similar to a tapeworm, and had it got to my colon I would have died. All of that happen a long time ago, but the truth is, I had an operation which saved my life as a result of meeting with Jesus. That has held me in a solid faith and relationship with God throughout my life. Thank you Jesus for meeting with me.
My dad had 2 NDEs, both in hospitals at v different times of his life. One of which he recounted 2 doctor’s conversations at the opposite side of the hospital. He wasn’t exactly a Christian but knew there was a spiritual realm.
There are studies that show there is still awareness for a short period of time after clinical death. It takes awhile for all functions to shut down. NDE's mean nothing.
Jimmy Scarfo D'Cortino I think you’re quiet wrong, they’re known to be outer body experiences in other words, do you know what that is ?? Your mind doesn’t float out of your head and starts to miraculously know things it shouldn’t. It’s clear that it’s another realm, the spirit real as people have said that they know it’s them but they can also see their body. Do your so called fact is rubbish. Stop with the excuses, many people around the world are having these experiences but I bet your answer to this will be sheer coincidence???? Don’t make me laugh
@@christos8418 Don't make YOU laugh? Hahahaha! The functions of the body do not shut down all at once. Sometimes people are aware of their surroundings before the heartbeat is restored. The body also produces DMT and similar hallucinogenic chemicals at the moment of death. You know nothing about human physiology and science. I laugh at your lack of proof.
Jimmy Scarfo D'Cortino you didn’t read my text properly. To elaborate - He witnessed a conversation in the other end of a large hospital and saw the room he was in, while in a coma. He was then moved to another hospital while still in a coma and related these events 2 weeks later when he came out of his coma in the 2nd hospital. How is that explained by the senses not shutting down completely?
Dorian Philotheates 🤣Man you almost killed me 😂 Now I’ve had an NDE too😆 (btw I’m not an atheist and I believe there’s a Heaven. Fellow Christians, try to chill out and laugh a little.)
Faith- the substance of things hoped for, not things seen. Many Bible references teach us about set our minds on things above not on things on the earth. I love this man's stories that he has seen the data also
Bull. Feelings have nothing to do with reality or truth. Do you believe in Santa or the tooth fairy? Singing songs in church that make you feel good are not good reasons to believe in some fantasy God. Grow up and get real.
All Believers in other Gods assert the exact same thing, so either all Gods are real, or you are all feeling something else completely. The real truth is that the feeling that you experience is from the chemicals released from your emotions.
My brother was pronounced dead doctors worked on him for a long time. Had already called my mother and asked them to Go identify the body before she got to hospital he came to, the doctors were confused especially when he told these there everything they had done to save his life and exactly what they had said in the emergency room where he died. What they were wearing everything !
One thing I come to realize is no matter what you believe like it or not you can't change or remove what Heavenly Father has put into each one of us. Now we just have to decide where we want to go.
Ive been a atheist my whole life. But seeing how the past year went, seeing evil rise and blind so many. This isnt natural human psychology, this is something spiritual.

Amazing.
If there is an afterlife, then what reason is there to connect it with Jesus or Christianity?
@@GR-wi2nh Because if the resurrection is true then obviously Christianity is True
Were you a believer before that incident?
@@Pose005 that's a very good question since I didn't receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit till I was 31.
However at age 6 I looked up at the sky and invited Jesus in to my life.

My adopted son had open heart surgery at the age of 3 1/2 to repair the pulmonary artery and pulmonary vein and closing holes. He described watching this from above with Jesus. He knew where my husband and I were, and where his paternal aunt was throughout this surgery. Some years later, he described the different machines used, the heart/lung substitution for circulating the blood, and the work done by different health personnel in the OR. There was never any question of his accuracy of descriptions. He is 21 years old now. He always was very certain of his operation experience.

That's an amazing story! It was a little difficult to read and understand though due to the lack of punctuation.

How did you know 10 of those 12 died as martyrs. Dying for your beliefs doesn't make it any more truthful than the others.
Not the case here though
and yet the bible condemns women preaching or becoming pastors 😢

So either yeshua said these things only to "john" or did not say them to anyone
who regarded them as important enough to keep notes on such statements.

First Peter, chapter 3, verses 15 & 16 say, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ." @@mickqQ Then why do people believe that day follows night and night follows day?
That’s how I became a Christian.
But the Resurrection makes sense given the data, just saying we don’t know sounds like a cop-out to me tbh.
The Vulture or perhaps it is an interesting story or legend based loosely on facts or even entirely made up, there are many possibilities but to suggest that a person resurrected is silly. And even if it happened (which it almost certainly did not) it does not suggest that a god exists even in the slightest bit

Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools
@Rolf Leseratz Please read that verse again :)
5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience."

I did read it for myself.
Not strips.

The samples that were tested in the 1980s were contaminated. There were repairs done to the cloth as well.
Interestingly enough, the other pagan nations had also known Messiahs with the same description attributes like Mithra like Horus Egyptian god 3000BC, ,Attis from Greece 1200BC, Krishna 900BC, Dionysus Greece 500BC, Tammuz Babylon 500BC, Janus worshiped as Apollo Rome 30AD known as father and Son duality as One, represented January as the beginning. etc. Google these names and you will find out that Christianity is a FRAUD. EVERYTHING THAT IS DESCRIBED ON THESE SO CALLED PAGAN MESSIAHS IS NOT THE MESSIAH DESCRIBED IN THE OT OR HEBREW MESSIAH.

@Have Mercy to tell the people the truth...and NOT to believe a lie....Iam doing exactly what the prophet Ezekiel did in Chapter 3. Show me a Bible translation that contain the name "Jesus" in the Bible. That name never existed in the early Bible Manuscripts. The name was inserted in the 1600's by the king of England. My point is that name is "fictitious". Plus the messianic prophecies that Christianity claims are not found in the Tanakh commonly known as the Old Testament. Which messiah is Christianity believing in ? if the the dogma don't match any of the messianic prophecies in the OT. Jews believers of the Messiah were set apart by accepting the Messiah but they didn't have the NT. So they only used the OT or Tanakh to confirm the messianic prophecies. Where in the OT states specifically that the Messiah was going to be impregnated by God's spirit without using sexual relations by a Hebrew man? Instead, the Messianic prophecy says that the Messiah will come through the tribe of Judah if no man from the tribe of Judah impregnated his mother? Show me in the Tanakh or OT.
@Have Mercy first off, 'Jesus is not G-d" he is the Messiah ( anointed ) king of Israel successor of king David. if you want to believe that deception , its on you.
1Timothy 2: 3
"This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."
Evil hearts follow deception and rejoice in unrighteousness.
Believing in religious lies is evil before G-d and "arrogance " is also evil before G-d.
People who don't love the truth will believe a lie...and G-d will send them a delusion to believe a lie.
2Thessa 2: 9-12
"The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with all kinds of false miracles, signs, and wonders.and with every wicked deception among those who are perishing.
The doctrine of the Trinity is invented by the Romans specifically the Emperor Constantine who inserted his Mithraism ( Roman & Greek Old Religion) paganistic beliefs in the Abrahamic faith ( by forgery in the Bible through the Vulgate ) to expand his Rome Empire in the entire world with his new religion forcing people to convert including the Jews who got murdered by Christianity.
I don't think you know..that "Jesus or Iesous" was never in the Bible prior the 1600's Bible translations. why? So for 1600 years the Bible scholars were wrong or did not know the meaning of the name??? LOL Please ..the name of the Messiah has always been the same ...you don't need Translation of it. His name is mostly accepted as "Yeshuah"his Hebrew name in English Translation.

2 Corinthians 5:19 says "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." Our sin was nailed to the cross since Christ was made to be sin for us
2 Corinthians 5:21 "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."
If Christ was made to be sin and we compare this verse you will see our sins were nailed to the CROSS of Jesus
Colossians 2:14 "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;"
So our sin was nailed to the cross then Christ shed his BLOOD giving us forgiveness. Forgiveness means granted relief of payment see this in the Merriam Webster dictionary or see this example here
Luke 7:42 "And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?"
See so when you have nothing to pay you are forgiven!
Hebrews 9:22 "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission."
Remission is the cancellation of a debt automatically connecting with forgiveness throughout all of history when blood was shed God forgave sins. Next, Christ shed his blood at the cross making peace
Colossians 1:20 “And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven."
So at the cross Christ shed his blood giving us remission/ forgiveness granting us relief of payment of our sins
Ephesians 1:7 "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;"
So you see we have forgiveness "according to the riches of his grace" we are in the dispensation of grace (God’s time period of Grace)
Ephesians 1:3 "If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:"
In this dispensation we are granted relief of payment and don’t go to hell for sins that’s already been paid for. You can’t pay for something twice. The wages of sin is death.
Romans 6:23 " For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Since Jesus rose again we are no longer in our sins
1 Corinthians 15:17: "And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins."
I’m going to end this here. The gospel confirms our payment for sin was made through Jesus’s DEATH at the cross and he rose again leaving our sins in the grave he resurrected without our sins.
1 Corinthians 15 1-4 "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
If you believe this message that How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures(the scriptures I put in this message) you are saved.
"Flew retracted his statement that a deity or a "super-intelligence" was the only good explanation for the origin of life and the complexity of nature: "I now realise that I have made a fool of myself by believing that there were no presentable theories of the development of inanimate matter up to the first living creature capable of reproduction."
But a few years later, well into his 80s at that point, he apparently reversed himself yet again.
Flew did not bother to actually keep up with latest scientific discoveries and theories regarding the origin of the universe and the complexity of life is another indication that he was no longer thinking clearly at the time of his “conversion.”
My lack of belief in God has nothing to do with what any particular influential atheist has said on the matter, so it really doesn’t matter to me one way or another when Mr.

He has literally given NOT ONE piece of evidence! The bible is the CLAIM.
"the fact that even when confronted with the truth and facts, most people simply don't want to believe, and hence give up the idea that they're "free to sin without consequence""
Christians often pretend this is a fact. When I ask them for evidence, it turns out that it is just what Christians want to believe about non-believers.
When you think about it, there would not be a single church anywhere on the earth today if Jesus remained dead. He is risen!
Some proofs....
* 500 Eyewitnesses
* Roman Soldiers who guarded the tomb....
Then read academic discussions about it.

... thank you, Dr.

Ok but, doesn't the Bible teach that the dead can't communicate with the living?
I use to see and talk with my late son quite often in the year after his death. My youngest son use to tell us his mother had tucked him in at night long after her deaths. I have had clients who routinely interact with deceased loved ones in days after death. This is all quite normal. It does not mean that any apparition was present.
@@russellmiles2861 so how do you account for these visions being common for some people and entirely absent for others?

@@danedwards931 I agree, complete bs.
They say pride comes before the fall and that is exactly what happened with lucifer- his own pride and jealousy of The Almighty was his downfall.

The age or amount of people believing something is not proof it's true.

Hello Mr Dennis I think I’ve spoken with you on another thread, I can’t recall, but I would like to hear your experience with Jesus Christ. Would you mind to share it with me/us?
@@--4729 I was sitting on the couch back in 2007 and a sort of porthole opened up and I saw who I believe to be Yashua/Jesus in some type of vortex. I believe He was beconing me to get behind Him. I saw this on more than one occasion that day. That night I was in bed and believe I was sleeping and have no idea how I saw or remember this. It was soooooo much brighter than the sun but it was different also! IT WAS PURE LOVE! And I remember feeling soooooo unworthy to be this close to it! And as I thought and felt that way it shot out wave after wave of pure light&love towards me! It was paralyzing and OVERWHELMING to say the least!

My brother was pronounced dead doctors worked on him for a long time. Had already called my mother and asked them to
Go identify the body before she got to hospital he came to, the doctors were confused especially when he told these there everything they had done to save his life and exactly what they had said in the emergency room where he died. What they were wearing everything !
Then he wasn't dead.
