My favorite Angelina version of this is still her younger live performance (at 12?) with the military band-it is absolutely one of her all-time best performances. But I have to admit that her final belt here deserves all of your attention. It’s not just the power, but the nuanced vocal control that allows Angelina to slide from a clear vocal into a distorted belt that fits the emotion of the lyrics just perfectly. Wow.

I’d also like to bring up another young lady (17 in 2015) who performed this on Britain’s X Factor and won the show. Louisa Johnson sang it dusting the competition and again in the final. Simon C said it was the BEST performance on X F he had ever seen. A side note to that is Angelina performed in England last year with Toby Gad and Louisa in the O2 arena singing his most famous songs.

Karise : untrained with a lot of sound and fury but not the phrasing or the nuance .i remember thinking it was the best until i heard angelina.
