I play both games at a high level and my experience is this: Valorant is extremely hardcore when it comes to aim because body shots do less damage than in cs, models are smaller, sprays have higher spread and are more random. Thus, the definitive way to aim in Valorant is to do 2 shots, strafe/move to dodge bullets while waiting for bullets to reset, and the another 2 shots to the head. However, in CS, if you miss the first few one taps you can rely on a deterministic spray pattern to kill the enemy, often fast enough since body shots do significant damage. I believe that the hardcore way of aiming in Valorant is kinda like an "all or nothing approach" where you either get an instant kill or a 3 second whiff, and this contributes to inconsistencies. Also, it's harder to maintain your aim this way. I literally have to make aimlab a routine everyday but I never do that for CS. In CS, if your aim suffers, you can still rely on spray patterns and muscle memory to kill and it's sufficient in most cases.
The "high level" in question is plat or what. Bodyshots dont do less dmg in val. The vandal technically has more dmg than the ak since it has no damage fall off on range. It always kills armored opponents with 4 Hits to the chest no matter what. The ak needs 5 bullets against armored enemys chest at 70+ meters. It only feels like more dmg bc the RPM of the ak is higher, affecting the time to kill. Idk what you smoked but the models in valorant are way bigger than in cs. Just the hitbox of the head alone is around 30% bigger than in cs + there is no hitbox for the neck so any bullet hitting them below the head still counts as a headshot. (We wount speak about how u can literally Shoot air right next to the Model and u still get hitreg.) Its way bigger hitboxes are the reason why almost all pros play native Resolution, bc the hitboxes are literally so big that there is no need to play true stretched. The spray is random in val, in cs its Set, this doesnt rly matter since the vandal is designed as a burst/tap weapon by the devs but adds to the point made in the vid. Since the spray is random u can be rank 1 and die to a diamond Player in a spray duel, bc u dont rly controll the weapon when its rng. The entire first Paragraph gives away that u never actually Played cs on a high level and probably neither do in val. U call it "all or nothing" in val. It's not hard to pinpoint why val is an inconsistent game. Reasons being random Sprays, fb inaccuracy, random teamcomps, less mechanical expression and a lot of easy nobrain abillities even the most unskilled players can use to set up a kill against better players, etc. I dont quite get what u mean by "val is the hardcore way of aiming". The targets are way bigger, much slower and extremly easy to see since they have a colored outline making them stand out and therefore rly easy for ur brain to aim at. The target speed basicly Drops to 0 after first hit, making it a sitting duck. And on top of all that, the raw mechanics for aiming are almost non existent. Counterstrafing for example is not needed in val, whereas in cs it is Essential. Its up to Personal preferences what game is more fun and most enjoyed. @@slick3869 Well maybe ur technically right on the damage aspect but it certainly feels like valorant body shots do nothing, because of the armor and such. Technically u might be right but for sure people don't even aim at bodies because there's no chest hitbox, but in CS people do. I've seen countless occasions of a someone low hp (e.g. 25) killing multiple people in Val because his enemies just aims for heads only and misses. Models in valorant are indeed smaller, or maybe the bullet spreads are so bad that a 4 bullet burst will only register 2 shots to the body at long distance. That's my point, spray/bursts don't work anything above 20m or so. I gues one way to explain it is that this game is extremely hard to be consistently good on because there are gazillion ways for the enemy to shit on you (ex. new strat, new exploits, new usage of utility, etc) unlike cs wherein if you are better mechanically, then you are pretty much better everytime.
Its normal i think, cus in CS we ar not limited by agent/map. But in valorant, how we play is depen on differen agent and some agent just really good in certain map. So yeah
Also cs is like that, the fact that you can feel invincible one day and the other you get shit on, even if cs have a more defined mechanic that is true
He is right . The game has become noob friendly, compared to the time it launched. It has become significantly more inconsistent with agents like gekko ,raze ult, difference in flashes, harbor wierd walls, etc etc

He is correct about the inconsistency, tenz is also an extremely dumb player. To counteract the inconsistency, you need to play smart. Its not even difficult to understand his point of view , just look at how every tournment there is a different team dominating or even look at playstyles that shouldn work. (Just Look at PRX , they are playing overwatch lol) . The thing i hate in valo/cs2 , is that they make the game so "easy" for new players that even in the High Elo the server is packed with people that can"t even shoot properly and they also make some stupid plays that for some reason end up working without them being punished (including the weird gunplay ) , in valorant is even more common due to the habilities and stuff . All he’s saying is that cs requires more mechanics and separate players better where Valorant can be very limited , even Shroud , Tarik and Summit talked about this point
I said this when the game launched as a “counter-strike killer” counter strike has been consistently the same game for 15+ years in one year the meta for valorant shifts like 4+times with character releases a lone like you can’t expect a player to stay at the top of their game if the game keeps making them change their play-style. I guess my point is counter-strike is more than a game.
Isn't it more down to the fact that there are way more variables in abilities and meta shifts to account for. Mechanically valorant is just as tight. Its that it's a lot harder to account for every different thing that could happen with 5x the abilities. CS just has more straightforward gameplay (Not a bad thing). Instead of being good with lots of different characters and different abilities, it's more about smoke lineups and flash lineups. You don't have ults, there is just less on your plate so you can focus on bread and butter gameplay. I prefer valorant personally as someone who grew up with CS, because I feel there is more creativity and innovation with new metas and character play. I like how psycho it is.
Mechanically valorant is no where near cs. Spray randomized, you can crutch with abilities that take no skill, the gun play is not consistent, the first bullet accuracy is awful. No it's just not there
the random spray pattern makes the game more inconsonant I understand it is to make Valorant different from CS2 think Valorant should try spray patterns it'd change the game for a lot of people and will show there is a bigger skill gap with spray patterns no hate to Valorant at all
Brother thinks he has reached the peak of mechanical skill in this game, your fast flicks is never going to keep you consistent. There is a reason why people like Aspas, Less, Derke, Leo ect.. have been consistent for a long time, and its simply because they have a better mechanical understanding than Tenz. + i dont know what he thinks happens in CS but there are so many inconsistent players there too. Even s1mple have been inconsistent.
you mentioned two people with completely different roles in Leo and Less. Less' role is the most consistent role in the game in hard lurker on attack and sentinel on defense. You will get many duels and few util dumps on attack, and on defense you will have the same execs you practiced against. In the opposite end is Leo in which he will take almost no opening fights in any round. His kills come from timings and good util where it is very hard to get the same inconsistencies as Tenz. Leo getting a lot of kills has very little to do with his mechanics and way more to do with the fact that he makes the perfect read and the perfect decision every time. Aspas is the player here that is the actual anomaly. Every player in Aspas' role besides Aspas has been inconsistent. Look at every hard entry duelist (including Derke) and you will see that they will be very inconsistent, from being the best player of the tournament to getting shit on by every other duelist in the tournament. It is literally only Aspas that has maintained a level of consistency in this role specifically. For Tenz, as an aggressive Kayo and Omen, he will never have the liberty of being able to play in Less or Leo's role which naturally gives them more consistency. He could be an anomaly like Aspas, but Aspas is the goat of the game for a reason. So I think his point is reasonable for his role.
Inconsistency can happen but in CS yes but it’s different. CS is simply a more mechanical driven game. Your mechanics matter way more in CS than Valorant. It’s pretty much the main point of his argument. There are more rng factors that play into Valorant as well.
@@mymicisasian1410 Expect the first year, he got rolled by everyone when he was in a duelist role at Sen. Derke was consistent for a long time and even if you don't take it into consideration, No one was as oblivious as Tenz when it came down to game sense in a duelist role. If he had a chance against current tier 1 duelists as a duelist, he would've played that role. There are far better players than Tenz in this smoke role and Sen has the money to buy any of their contracts. Then why is he still in this role? Cause that's the best role that he can play with what he has.
@@sapientboy7557 Derke was consistent when all of fnatic were consistent, when the supporting cast of fnatic were less consistent, it was only Leo who was playing well and putting up numbers. Not saying that derke is bad in any way, this is natural for duelists since they're supposed to get set up by their teammates. That's why aspas is the goat, he is one of the few duelists who can have that consistency even when his team is playing bad. I also agree that he has no chance against tier 1 duelists in the duelist role, but that wasn't my point anyway. My point was that I agree with his point that the nature of the game will make you far less consistent, and this is the case for all aggressive pros outside of the top 1%. For more passive/less opening duel oriented playstyles, it is easier to be consistent, but for aggressive playstyles, it is very difficult unless you are literally top 3 in the world in that role. The comparisons you made had caveats in either playstyle, or quality of teammates in the case of derke, since leo, alfa and chronicle were all top 10 players last year before champs which is simply insane.
Tenz is mechanically good, but there is TONS of evidence showing that he is a complete 3 head. Just because someone is skilled mechanically doesn't make them a genius. Think of the stereotype of football players being dumb and just knowing how to catch a ball.. its the same thing
Riot said they implemented RNG for helping casual players, but its actually doing the opposite. Players with more knowledge will know how to abuse the rng machanics.

Csgo had this issue but it wasn’t even close to the extent it is in Valorant. But Cs2? Yea that game might actually have it worse than Val.

Yea Tenz seemed burnt out of Val. His takes are basically “the grass is greener on the other side”

Only good in pugs but team play you’re bad because you can’t play the same way.

CS also has a cheating epidemic, so you actually have no idea if you're playing vs a good person or someone who has assistance.
It's because Riot psychologically manipulates players with EOMM. This shit should be illegal
Every take this guy does only becomes worst
The way you get destroyed in CSGO and CS2 is they shoot first. The way you get destroyed in Valorant is you shoot first but whiff everything.
Valo u can run and shoot ans somehow the bullet finds ur Head hahahaha
He is right . The game has become noob friendly, compared to the time it launched. It has become significantly more inconsistent with agents like gekko ,raze ult, difference in flashes, harbor wierd walls, etc etc
You did not play launch Val lmao
The judge was incredibly broken, frenzy, stinger spectre all way better, run and gun was broken, riot did many changes to reduce RNG
The game is bad BUT I AM ACTUALLY GOOD YOU KNOW
@@spiritolaminato654 I started playing in 2020. Now I'm asc. Did I say anything about the game being inconsistent because of "guns"? It's the agent and the maps that have problems. The doors in lotus are a big example of that. The guns are alright in my opinion. But there is still room for improvement. There are still problems with the first shot accuracy problem in the vandal, you can still get a headshot in rng using vandal and phantom, the right click on a classic is like a coin flip .

I feel like people in this comment section can’t give a proper counter argument other than insulting TenZ or comparing him to other players about the RNG in this game
He is correct about the inconsistency, tenz is also an extremely dumb player. To counteract the inconsistency, you need to play smart. Tenz is almost like a meat head in that he is all mechanics and aim. He is not very good creatively. This is why omen works for him because it allows him to make mistakes and cover his ass. He couldn't lead anything if he wanted to.
@@Robertfrost2 Give an example of him being a dumb player
@@Robertfrost2 ok iron boy, now go back and play unrated lol. Omen is not creative?? Omen is one of the most creative mindset agents in the game and you need to be very smart. You sound like someone hard stuck in iron or have never touched a game apart from candy crush

After seeing Asuna Jump Shot so yaaa ..

Vals cs at home eveyone knows this. Still fk wit val tho
Game has been this way and was way worse during beta, think most people who play a lot of competitive FPS games can recognize this.
val need to do something for that aspect
Not possible cause of agents and abilities. What tenz is pointing out ia that abilities have so much impact in the game that good gunplay alone isn't enough to secure a round.
The rng in valorant is f*@13d
but CS has more first shot innacuracy?? Valorant just rewards tap shooting you noob fuck.
The question here is that Valorant doesn't allow for extremely precise movement like CS
some rng embedded in the mechanincs, thats why.
Na it's definitely something to what he's saying. Not run n gun.
@@Robertfrost2 rng stands for Random Number Generator. It's the randomness of your first shot and spray that he is talking about.

Cant have a competitive tac shooter on unreal engine 4 lmao
IT’S BECAUSE. THE GUNS. ARE RANDOMMMMM. AND THE MOVEMENT. IS SHITE. GIVE US SPRAY PATTERNS AND SNAPPIER MOVEMENT.
No it's just not there
every clip i see from tenz is him complaining, why doesn’t he just switch to csgo
csgo doesn't exist anymore
You can just switch games when it's your job, world doesn't work that way.
Any pro player that plays international tournaments and shit should be allowed to complaint about the game.
Because he can't.
Haven't you ever complained about *Your* job ?
the random spray pattern makes the game more inconsonant I understand it is to make Valorant different from CS2 think Valorant should try spray patterns it'd change the game for a lot of people and will show there is a bigger skill gap with spray patterns no hate to Valorant at all
Brother thinks he has reached the peak of mechanical skill in this game, your fast flicks is never going to keep you consistent.
Think of the stereotype of football players being dumb and just knowing how to catch a ball.. its the same thing
who let you cook?
Because of first bullet accuracy and rng spray
yes good morning, this is not cs
Riot said they implemented RNG for helping casual players, but its actually doing the opposite. Players with more knowledge will know how to abuse the rng machanics.

And they failed to qualify for VCT Shanghai even after winning in Madrid.

@@jsnagn3410there’s two things called format and franchising. Valorant is too competitive to be compared to traditional esports. TenZ is right, just for different reasons
@@smogblazer4509 valorant isnt even close to being competitive to games like cs or any fighting game. @@mum-your I’m part of both communities to be able to support my point. I’m aware that there are pros playing their respective games longer than val as a game has been out for. This doesn’t explain the disparity in format which forces players to compete in unfair conditions. It’s not about the development or variety of the game or even it’s pros, but about the FORMAT. Most CS tournaments are open circuit and invitationals, which proves that teams have more security compared to val pros who waste so much time in the offseason. Again, my point is that valorant pros have one or two shots at winning a tournament a year before they have to wait months, which you miraculously missed. FGC also doesn’t count because it’s not team-oriented, hello?
