Exactly the model and color my mother had in 1963 and 1964. As a toddler I rode on the hat shelf. And the sound of the motor in this video, it's exactly as I remembered! Thanks.
Sadly my dad sold it, the Egg, right after he encountered an identical one smashed by a trolleybus and for the first minutes he badly believed it was his wife the victim inside. And then I started riding in my mom's new Fiat 600....until that one got replaced by a Citroen 2 CV... And a large succession of cars, as my dad liked to have new cars at home, usually 2, often.
Well, isetta may look funny nowadays, but after the WWII, it was for the first time that one could make a journey without listening to the weather forecast first, lol. I was a kid in the 1950-ties and remember them well (posess one of these in my garage).
This Isetta has a one cilinder 300cc engine, as the title reveals. Isettas were never equiped with a 197cc. However, there is a version with a 250cc engine
An Amish man is equal to one or two horses in his livelihood...The fact that this little machine has 13 horses, and only the maintenance of one man is phenomenal...I've got a 2009 - 130 horse power leaking power steering in my driveway, and a mechanic that just charged me better than 3,000 dollars to fix the Brakes & ABS ...geeze..

Wow, what a treat! Thanks a lot! I've got the idea of the Isetta creation: better than a scooter or a motorcycle! No wind and much more safety

Гениальное изобретение.👍💯
i love these things
I wonder if anyone has ever re-engined one with a more modern motor cycle engine.
Stick around. We have a few more micro cars that may be getting some...interesting swaps. ✈️ 😉
Eu quero um ! Verdinho!
In Europe this is still convinient in suburbs.
The motor sounded good. I guess this is the 197cc, single cylinder. I always liked these guys.
