Wondering if y'all knew that the word LORD replaced YHUH? It's true, and guess what... LORD = BAAL BAALZEBUB = LORD OF FLIES. Our Creators name is YaHUaH. The word God does Our Creator a disservice... The Hebrew word is alhym. So instead of saying God or Lord, we can respectfully call Him Alhym, Yahuah, or Yah as in Psalms 68:4 (since the J should've been a Y.)
My family and I went on a trip this last weekend, so we listened to some kids Bible studies in the car. Found this sermon from you. Good message overall, but why do you need to say things like, "your annoying brother or sister" in your sermon? All you're doing by saying things like that is putting the idea in kids' heads that their siblings are annoying, and that that's normal and even funny. Keep the messages positive, Pastor. Please. We raise our kids with the idea that their siblings are friends for life. They don't need to hear this crap during a Bible study.
Thanks for the feedback. I was giving some real life examples of how children can show humility and put others first. Annoying siblings might not be the case for your children (which is awesome!) but I know there are others who would benefit greatly from this practical tip.
I just stumbled upon Pastor Yis video and saw that he's definitely gifted in kids online sermons. Jeff I sense you may have difficulty in creating harmony between siblings, as I remember whats inside the heart that matters and sin is in us, that is don't think describing the reality of conflict between siblings would be the major influencer of discord. As a parent sibling conflict drives us crazy but it takes time to shepherd the child's heart.
Bet you didn't know that the letter "J" and it's sound, is only about 500 years old. For over 1000 years our Mashiach(Messiah) was called Iesous pronounced ya-soos. The Dead Sea Scrolls have his name written as Yahusha and Yahushua.
