That embroidery hoop is definitely old, because that’s what my grandma taught me with! She gave me a blanket and pillow embroidery kit for my baby buggy, when I turned four. I still remember sitting and working side by side on the couch with her during her “shows” every afternoon. She’s the one who taught me to embroider, crochet, and (tried to teach me) tatting.
We came up with a new drinking game... every time Julie goes to stick that thrifted greenery in something, we drink. We're 22:11 into this video and we are hammered.
LOL! I'm now going to be laughing and thinking of her viewers getting plastered every time she sticks in the greenery. Thank you for that hilarious image!
That table with the marble top! I have the exact same thing, have had it since sometime in the 80's. The top became separated from the base so I use the marble top on my dresser to put my perfume bottles on and the base I flipped upside down and use as a plant stand. Love your channel!
The wooden candle stick thing with the four round prongs is actually an old lantern. The round prongs held in the glass that was open on both ends to accommodate the candle in the middle. I hope that made sense. I absolutely love your haul. I never find birds.
Fabulous haul! You got so much stuff I would be overwhelmed! Love so many of the prints and all the little birds. The metal embroidery hoop is definitely old. I have one that my grandma gave me years ago. She passed away in 1986 and I had it long before that. Now I’m telling my age! Lol! Thanks Julie
The wooden candle holder with the four wooden upright posts ... they stabilize a hurricane glass, and help prevent the glass from falling while being carried with a lit candle.
I also feel the need to rescue things from the bins. I came up with a great solution for my compulsion. I'll grab a bunch of lightweight items because I do pay by the pound in my location: I'll rescue baskets, embroidery, crosstitch, one of a kind handmaid vintage items, etc. All I do is collect them, and then I sell them to a woman who has a thrift store in a barn. She pays me double what I paid, and I don't have to sort or clean any of the items. It's benefits her because she doesn't have the time to navigate the bins and find these items herself.
Awesome, Awesome HAUL !!!! Loved everything....I really LOVE the marble brass table, you got a great deal !!! Looking forward to the DIYs on Thursday !
I I have been a Goodwill rescuer for years that's why the last year I've had to stay out and catch up on all my IOD projects but looking forward to your sail to see what you have.!!!
So Julie, I'm a lot older than you, but love your style & talent. I'm lmao tho, bc you are buying old things like I've had & would be donating to downsize at this time. You crack me up! I'd like to see you upcycle more, & miss seeing your farmhouse/eclectic new creations. Dying to see what you do with that crusty baking pan!😂
Julie, I got my Santa and I love it. No chips and the colors are great. Fastest shipping I've had. Will be watching more and shopping. Thanks again Laura
Hi Julie 2 things. 1...the metal embroidery hoops r just old. Had those when I was a kid. And 2.... The wooden piece is a candle holder but it had a chimney type glass globe at one time. Just so u know. Been to the bins. Hard to pass up a lot of good stuff.
Great haul! The metal hoops are what my mom and grandma used to do their embroidery. Not sure when they were first offered but definitely used in the 50s and 60s.
That table! Let me tell you, I bought the brass base at a yard sale and lugged it around with me for 35 years. Planned to make a lamp out of it not knowing what it was originally. The previous owner had used it as a candle stick. Last year I came across someone selling the table on FBMP. Well then I knew why I had ignored my plan to make it into a lamp. I was able to find a piece of marble for it and now I have my table.
This is the most assortment of stuff I’ve seen! You are so kind to rescue these broken pieces to keep them from the trash dump! Now, I’m ready to see some makeovers!!
🐥oh Julie, you are such an inspiration. I cant wait to see what you do to these. I needed this today. You always brighten my day and inspire me when I go to a dark place.🐥 you just dont know how much you inspire me. I know it sounds corny and prob creepy. But since I lost my husband very few things make me smile and for some reason you do. I love everything you have ever made. It is always so beautiful. We have the exact same taste. THANK YOU. I just wanted you to know you are special. ❣❣ cant wait until next time.. 😇
It cracks me up how you think these are treasures but to us older folks that's just stuff that was cast away when it became passe. I like how you find newness in them. Okay that woven purse with scalloped edges that you think looks like fall flowers on the front? That would be an old ladies knitting stash and she would take it with her to the pool with her friends and knit or take it from room to room. But it held yarn or crochet or knitting stuff. And that deep round pan with a scalloping is a bundt pan. To make bundt cake.
*Julie, that "branch" you were asking about that looks like driftwood I believe is Manzanita Wood. I have seen them in pet stores like PetsMart and Petco. They sell them for use in terrarium habitats for snakes, lizards, 🦎 toads and frogs 🐸 and the circular indentations are to add glass food and water dishes for your pets to eat and drink from. Could totally be used in a myriad of other ways, for sure!* *What an AWESOME HAUL these past 2 days! So many things I would have purchased, too! My favorite HAS TO BE the marble and brass side table! Could you add that next to your chair in your reading nook in your master bedroom and add a tall, skinny brass lamp? I think it would be lovely there. 🤎😉🥰*
You can actually fashion replacement parts that break off of figurines or holes in pots using milliput two-part epoxy putty. It comes in several colors and is as easy to use as clay. When it dries it is as hard as ceramics and you can paint it and add a finish. I order it on Amazon.
Thanks to you I ventured out and went to the Goodwill bins for the first time today. I posted my haul on your Facebook group page. Not nearly as big as yours but some great finds. Love these thrift hauls.
The wood piece with the 4 prongs and a candle holder in the middle, is a candle holder/ lantern . The cut out ring or grove around the candle holder holds a glass globe open on both top and bottom. I still have one and actually have burned candles in it.🙂
The ducks would look really pretty painted a blue-green with white wax over the top. But I'm sure whatever you choose will look great! Also I was wondering if there is a way to reverse a mold on the glass jar with the wheat and then use it to make clay molds to attach to other containers. Just a thought, I don't know if it can be done. Spray with oil and cover with plaster of paris and use that to make clay molds?.....
I love watching your hauls! You find such great deals. Our Good Will’s in MN have gotten so expensive, but I shop anyway and have gotten great ideas from you. Thanks!
Oh I definitely need those brass knobs! Good ting there aren’t any bins near me because I would feel the need to rescue too. Lol I love vintage artwork especially original watercolor, pencil, oil paint. I’m a sucker for hand embroidery. I know longer can make my own so I appreciate the time and effort. Wow you have some awesome art !
Another great hall Julie, you might want to check out the wooden candle holder before you sell it. It looks like one I have seen before, you put a tapered candle in it and to keep it from going out while your moving around there is a globe that fits around it in the circle and I think you held it just the way you were doing it.... if thats what it is its very, very old im talking way before electricity. Great video. God bless 🙏
Also you need to recognize your worth more, you should be charging more for your items. You are very influential, you are entertaining, you have great taste, and you have amazing ideas. You are basically being a personal shopper for all these people who will buy whatever you touch. Charge more, know your worth. A woman should never be afraid to be ambitious and proud to make money and know her financial worth.
You are so fortunate to find such good floral & greenery. The florals & greenery in my Goodwill & thrift stores are always so faded out & dingy looking. I love that pure clear glass tea pot!
Oh what an amazing haul! You got a lot more goodies. My favorite was the baskets!! I love my local Goodwill and our Habitat for Humanity!! 😊 Thank you so much for sharing!!
Hi Julie, Trish from Oklahoma here. When I was in high school in the 1970s, I used metal embroidery hoops to make pillow cases and dresser scarfs. Love your haul videos.
Ok please tell me what you will sell the brass candle holders for. I am just seeing if I got a good deal on 4 of them. You are definitely at the top of my list of videos to watch
I thought if you took your marble table and found a tall brass lamp, you could put together and kinda have that table lamp for your bedroom that you said, you thought you might want.
Lol your lists. I'm a list taker and sometimes it gets out of hand...recently I had so many ideas that I just wrote multiple lists on the brown paper that I covered my craft table with. I have no choice but to look at it but I definitely don't, or haven't yet, always get it all done.
Julie the metal hoop is very very old it came in a kit at the craft store for a needlepoint and you can only get them in the kit feel like 52 maybe older than that
When I saw your hoops. I thought of my grandma’s hoops and went to her sewing machine. She used the medal hoops when she was a teenager and I thought I better check them out. I have 3 sizes 21/2”, 7” and an oval 3”x8”. The hoops all have cork around the inside part, a bit missing on one. I was so glad I watch your videos. You are lots of fun and informative. By the way, my Grandma died 40 years ago at the age of 82.
WOW! I would love to thrift with you. So many amazing things. That metal Spring ring is vintage. or antique. I have one that was my mothers. Could have been my grandmothers. I'm 80 so you can imagine. Love watching all you do.
Great haul Julie. Of course everything I wanted was already sold. I've had that same marble/brass table since I was a kid. I'm 65 now. It's in a corner in my bathroom. Just something I can't let go of.
“I like to make lists then ignore them!” LOLOLOLOL🤣🤣🤣. Totally true!!!!!!
HAHA i feel productive if I make them but then a lot of the time I never look at them
😂 Dido!!!
That embroidery hoop is definitely old, because that’s what my grandma taught me with! She gave me a blanket and pillow embroidery kit for my baby buggy, when I turned four. The metal hoop is old. I am 74 and that is the type of hoop I used growing up learning how to embroider.

Can I come watch with you? So funny!
@@benniececiliamattox7426 Yes!!! If you can't find us, we'll be passed out on the floor! 🤣
@@beved2232 🤣🤣👏👏👏
LOL! I'm now going to be laughing and thinking of her viewers getting plastered every time she sticks in the greenery. Thank you for that hilarious image!
I love that you say "I have to rescue" the thrifted items.
I have something similar to the Victorian bench. I use mine to house my cookbooks. Works perfectly!
That wooden piece that holds a candle is for a hurricane globe. I had one years ago.
The cow print in the super rustic frame is so cute! You really found some treasures!
That table with the marble top! I have the exact same thing, have had it since sometime in the 80's. The top became separated from the base so I use the marble top on my dresser to put my perfume bottles on and the base I flipped upside down and use as a plant stand. Love your channel!
Unusual colors on the Santa. I love it!
LOVE the picture of the cow in the handmade frame.
The wood candle holder is missing a hurricane glass piece. It fits in the groove around the candle holder part.
So glad I got a chance to see this video (Part 2). Amazing finds. I have been eyeing the floral canvas print. Love it. TFS
The wooden candle stick thing with the four round prongs is actually an old lantern. The round prongs held in the glass that was open on both ends to accommodate the candle in the middle. I hope that made sense. I absolutely love your haul. I never find birds.

Fun video! I love your tips for how you would use the different items too.
Making that wooden candle stick into a lantern would be great!
When you helt up that tray your neighbor gave you I did a double take. It's almost just like one I made out of a solid wood hamper.
The wooden candle holder with the four wooden upright posts ... they stabilize a hurricane glass, and help prevent the glass from falling while being carried with a lit candle.

Julie I do know how to spell the word sale😁
Great haul and ideas for DIY's. Thanks for sharing
That hoop is old. You found so much good stuff.
Love that rusty lantern !!!
You find some great items & have some amazing visions. I’m trying to learn from you so I can decorate my home. 💕
So Julie, I'm a lot older than you, but love your style & talent. I'm lmao tho, bc you are buying old things like I've had & would be donating to downsize at this time. You crack me up! Air plants would be beautiful in that driftwood piece
The Peter Rabbit bookends are adorable!
Julie,
I got my Santa and I love it. No chips and the colors are great. Fastest shipping I've had. Will be watching more and shopping.
Thanks again

My favorites were the vintage oval frame, the rusted Lantren and the marble topped table. You are an amazing shopper.
The fryer pan could be wired for a pendant light.

I have several of my mother's metal embroidery hoops. I would guess they are from the 20s and 30s

That metal hoop I have a smaller one. Got it from my mother in law. She told me it was used for darning socks she had gotten it from her grandmother.
The 'victorian' bench is so only in design.........but so fun....

Yes I have I am 62 my mother used them when I was a little girl
The wooden thing with the 4 corner posts would have had a glass hurricane candle globe and a candle.
Great finds this video and the last. You repurpose a resell. Just do your thing!
You can actually fashion replacement parts that break off of figurines or holes in pots using milliput two-part epoxy putty. It comes in several colors and is as easy to use as clay. When it dries it is as hard as ceramics and you can paint it and add a finish. I order it on Amazon.
Loved watching your second haul. The bunny bookends & all birds/fowl were my favorites. Looking forward to what you do w/the pieces.
When I started embroidering in 1966, all we used were metal hoops.

Those were some amazing finds. I can't wait to see how you update some of them. 😃
The metal embroidery hoop is old I have one my grandma gave me when she taught me to embroidery. I also have my Moms metal ones
Fantastic items. That table is amazing
The metal embroidery hoop is definitely old! I used those as a little girl in the early 70s. Don't see them too often any more!

Those ducks with look cool black with the rust. Or that blueish patina paint. Ginger chick uses it.
Wow!!!! What a haul!!! I saw the first half and it was great! Now with this half it is amazing! Thanks for sharing all of your finds!!!

great haul, I just came across you channel and I love your hauls.
That metal hoop is old. My mom had one when I was growing up and I remember it from the 70s.
I love watching your hauls & love even more watching your unique diys
Metal hoop is old. Used to use them when I was a little girl and I am 73 now.
The metal ones used to come in kits at the five-and-dime store in the fifties and forties so their metal ones are very old
Julie the metal hoop is very very old it came in a kit at the craft store for a needlepoint and you can only get them in the kit feel like 52 maybe older than that
This video is heavenly. I love everything you got. Can’t wait to see what you do with the items.
I had a lighter tan colored handbag like that as a teenager ;)
Crazy good haul!
at 15.50 was that an orb?
idk and i don't want to go back and look LOL

Those faux flowers are called white wands.
Great hauls! Don't throw away the turquoise bag after you cut the handles off! I'll take it!
Your blue bird candle came from Target. I set that pog at least 10 years ago, I kept mine in my blue- bird themed bathroom!
