My goodness this is another masterpiece of yours. It pushed me to find out who is Alexander Hamilton, Angelica and Elizabeth Schuyler. Amazing song from the musical Hamilton, I’d say. And about Cloud, Tifa and Aerith, every frame fits the lyrics so well. After researching the story behind “Satisfied” and coming back to watch your video, I gotta say the ending part with Aerith’s saying is PRICELESS, same for Cloud who doesn’t go the way as Hamilton did. Right exactly from the beginning of the video, Cloud knows who is one true love for himself and he never gives up. Plus, the sisterhood between Tifa and Aerith is so sweet and unbreakable. Tifa is the one who always thinks about others first and her later. Aerith knows it well, so that’s why she tries to push these two together by all means. Thanks so much for the treat, Sassy! 🥰

Musical! Yessss. This was a surprise. I really love your editing for this one, and how you incorporated the story line with the lyrics of the song being used. You just continue to grow as a video editor. The way you choose scenes for this is striking. Well done.
Mostly this makes me anxious for how things are going to play out in the remake. Very effective to show their hands pulling apart during the rewind sequence and I love the slow pan on the Nibelheim stars as the twinkly music plays. You also trigger my automatic emotional response with Crisis Core clips. The emoting you get out these folks in accordance with the lyrics is phenomenal. Cloud's lost expression when Tifa asks where his family's from, his big Soldier dreams fit Alexander's 'Just you wait' to a T, and his 'wait, what?' face when Tifa say he can't grow facial hair, ah they're great. Nice effect switching the Corneo outfits, and flashing between Aerith giving Cloud the flower and making the connection what he did with it. That part at the end where Tifa is singing 'union' and the canon dementors are trapping Cloud and Aerith together, wow subtext. Are they fated to fall for each other, fated to be separated, fated to be part of an awkward drawn out love triangle? Those last final 'satisfied' lines really support the premise that Cloud, and Tifa, aren't really into him going with the flower girl. Although that part at the end where Aerith is all, "uh, no, I'm a Cloti shipper"; HA!
Aerith really is a Cloti shipper! 😂 I used to read fan fics with stuff that the Remake actually added to Cloud and Tifa's story. I'm in Cloti Seventh Heaven! w00t w00t!
Yeah I’m worried, too. The way SE is being so forthright about Cloti is making me concerned that they’re building up that relationship only to wrench it away from us now that the future is not set in stone, particularly with Aerith. If they trade Tifa for Aerith in that regard, there will be riots. I want Aerith to be reunited with Zack; I want her to be happy. But I worry that someone has to be sacrificed for that emotional gut-punch and that they’re hyping up Cloti so Cloud (and we) will suffer later 😭
I come back and watch this over and over. The editing, timing, and scenes are perfect. Sassy, you have an amazing talent; an excellence that I haven't seen in all the CloTi vids I've perused in various media. Thank you for sharing your passion with us.

When I first watched this I was not familiar with the song or the context behind it (I haven’t seen Hamilton), but I appreciated the use of FF7 characters to tell a different story, and as always, the editing, how the images matched the lyrics. Just like another commenter said (My Quynh Kiem), I then went off to do some research on the song, watched clips of it being performed, and then came back here and watched your treatment again. And now, having that context... this is even more amazing! The song is so achingly sad, and your handling of it so on point that even though I know it doesn’t apply to the actual FF7 storyline (no unrequited love for Cloud and Tifa 🥰😝) I still feel for “Hamilton Cloud/Tifa” as if the story is theirs in some alternate universe. It was hard for me to watch the video again because it’s so romantically painful, haha. (Your version does end on a happy note, thankfully.) When I watch your videos, I always end up rewinding and rewatching certain parts that strike me and I was backtracking every few seconds here just to catch all the clever touches: the additional images you included in the rewind section, the dress edits, the *perfect* matching of the lyrics (too many to mention, but for example, the rap at 2:10 - my man Cloud even looked “askance” on cue - and “three fundamental truths at the exact same time”). Such a great idea to meld two worlds (Hamilton/FF7), and so well executed. 🙏

It stands for Love Triangle Debate. Because the player could choose to favor Aerith over Tifa (or even Barret or Yuffie) people argue who Cloud really loved. But it's been stated in several Ultimanias that Cloud and Tifa confirm their feelings/love after the Lifestream, under the Highwind, which happen no matter what. Aerith dies no matter what... After Cloud realizes he was experimented on, the player stops being able to make choices for him and the story becomes more straightforward and less up to player interpretation. It's genius on the creators part because not only is Cloud a puppet to Jenova and Sephiroth, he's manipulated by the player as well. But some people don't understand/accept the plot beyond disc one of the original game, especially when it breaks away from the make-believe narrative the player gets to choose for Cloud up until they reach the Northern Crater. Remake is making things a lot more clear now, though. Like stating Cloud's romantic feelings for Aerith "aren't real" if the player chooses the Aerith route this time around because he's not quite himself yet. (Though, how meta-Aerith knows this is still a mystery.) It also depicts Cloud as a lot more forward in his flirting with Tifa and how much he trusts and respects her, making things like giving Tifa the flower non-optional and having him be so physical with her. So, I'm very much looking forward to the future installments and Square Enix solidifying Cloud and Tifa's relationship that much further :) Unfortunately, it'll still be a few more years before that happens, so you'll be seeing the letters LTD in FFVII threads for a very long time. In fact, you'll probably STILL see them even after the entirety of Remake is released, followed by the word "retcon." But it is what it is. I'm a ship and let ship kind of person, but anyone who says Cloud and Tifa aren't canon either didn't play the full game, didn't understand the plot, or are in denial.

I recently got the game to play, but even when I knew nothing about the game or cloti, my first impression of the ship was, "They're so cute together!" I don't really understand Clerith, like I love Aerith, but Cloud's and Aerith's interactions seem so platonic. So right from the start, I always loved cloti. When I started playing the game and getting into the universe, I just shipped them even more. Like compared to cloti, clerith seems more friendly, which I think is good for cloud to open up, but it definitely doesnt seem that romantic. This is coming from a really new FFVII player, who was unbiased and only was exposed to this game through some gamers on youtube. If a completely unbiased person can start shipping cloti hardcore from the start, then it's obvious cloti is more believable via their flirting, their comfort with one another and just the overall vibe I get from the two characters. Like I said, I love aerith, but not romantically for cloud. For clerith shippers, I would say that I respect their opinion, but I myself is a die hard cloti fan. @@audrey9949 Of course! 😊Along with the letters LTD, you might also start seeing the phrase "self-insert," since people also choose which girl they favor based on which girl they identify with more/which girl they'd wanna date themselves. But that's what the player wants, not what Cloud wants. They're self-inserting themselves INTO Cloud and ignoring the actual plot of the game. So by the time it's revealed Tifa is the person Cloud loves all along, they're too attached to Aerith and are convinced "if Aerith had lived, it'd be different." That's also why a lot of Cleriths believe the Remake is going to save her this time. But even if they do, it's still going to be Cloud and Tifa by the end, because it was always Tifa for him. I also find it interesting that they added more Zack x Aerith elements into the Remake. Not sure if you're familiar with that relationship, but having Zack die to save Cloud and then having Cloud honor that sacrifice by getting with his dead best friend's girl is... not the kind of relationship I personally root for. Especially not when Cloud has a girl like Tifa already. And that's nothing against Aerith as a character. I actually like her quite a lot! But as far as who Cloud should be with romantically, it's Tifa, handsdown. Sorry if I spoiled some things for you, since I realize you're new to the franchise 😅But thank you for sharing your Cloti experience thus far! I sometimes wonder if I'm seeing so much Cloti in Remake because of my shipper goggles, but I'm glad newcomers see the chemistry between Cloud and Tifa, too, as well as the platonic nature of Cloud and Aerith's relationship 💕

I'm so sorry, but I'm new to cloti, but I keep seeing LTD pop up around comments. What does LTD mean?
It stands for Love Triangle Debate. Because the player could choose to favor Aerith over Tifa (or even Barret or Yuffie) people argue who Cloud really loved. But it's been stated in several Ultimanias that Cloud and Tifa confirm their feelings/love after the Lifestream, under the Highwind, which happen no matter what. Aerith dies no matter what... After Cloud realizes he was experimented on, the player stops being able to make choices for him and the story becomes more straightforward and less up to player interpretation. It's genius on the creators part because not only is Cloud a puppet to Jenova and Sephiroth, he's manipulated by the player as well. But some people don't understand/accept the plot beyond disc one of the original game, especially when it breaks away from the make-believe narrative the player gets to choose for Cloud up until they reach the Northern Crater. Remake is making things a lot more clear now, though. Like stating Cloud's romantic feelings for Aerith "aren't real" if the player chooses the Aerith route this time around because he's not quite himself yet. (Though, how meta-Aerith knows this is still a mystery.) It also depicts Cloud as a lot more forward in his flirting with Tifa and how much he trusts and respects her, making things like giving Tifa the flower non-optional and having him be so physical with her. So, I'm very much looking forward to the future installments and Square Enix solidifying Cloud and Tifa's relationship that much further :) Unfortunately, it'll still be a few more years before that happens, so you'll be seeing the letters LTD in FFVII threads for a very long time. In fact, you'll probably STILL see them even after the entirety of Remake is released, followed by the word "retcon." But it is what it is. I'm a ship and let ship kind of person, but anyone who says Cloud and Tifa aren't canon either didn't play the full game, didn't understand the plot, or are in denial.
@@sassytheeunicorn omg omg thank you so much for your explanation! I actually became a FFVII fan after watching gameplay of the remake and reading cloti fanfiction. I recently got the game to play, but even when I knew nothing about the game or cloti, my first impression of the ship was, "They're so cute together!" I don't really understand Clerith, like I love Aerith, but Cloud's and Aerith's interactions seem so platonic. So right from the start, I always loved cloti. When I started playing the game and getting into the universe, I just shipped them even more. Like compared to cloti, clerith seems more friendly, which I think is good for cloud to open up, but it definitely doesnt seem that romantic. This is coming from a really new FFVII player, who was unbiased and only was exposed to this game through some gamers on youtube. If a completely unbiased person can start shipping cloti hardcore from the start, then it's obvious cloti is more believable via their flirting, their comfort with one another and just the overall vibe I get from the two characters. Like I said, I love aerith, but not romantically for cloud. For clerith shippers, I would say that I respect their opinion, but I myself is a die hard cloti fan. @@audrey9949 Of course! 😊Along with the letters LTD, you might also start seeing the phrase "self-insert," since people also choose which girl they favor based on which girl they identify with more/which girl they'd wanna date themselves. But that's what the player wants, not what Cloud wants. They're self-inserting themselves INTO Cloud and ignoring the actual plot of the game. So by the time it's revealed Tifa is the person Cloud loves all along, they're too attached to Aerith and are convinced "if Aerith had lived, it'd be different." That's also why a lot of Cleriths believe the Remake is going to save her this time. But even if they do, it's still going to be Cloud and Tifa by the end, because it was always Tifa for him. I also find it interesting that they added more Zack x Aerith elements into the Remake. Not sure if you're familiar with that relationship, but having Zack die to save Cloud and then having Cloud honor that sacrifice by getting with his dead best friend's girl is... not the kind of relationship I personally root for. Especially not when Cloud has a girl like Tifa already. And that's nothing against Aerith as a character. I actually like her quite a lot! But as far as who Cloud should be with romantically, it's Tifa, handsdown.
Sorry if I spoiled some things for you, since I realize you're new to the franchise 😅But thank you for sharing your Cloti experience thus far! I sometimes wonder if I'm seeing so much Cloti in Remake because of my shipper goggles, but I'm glad newcomers see the chemistry between Cloud and Tifa, too, as well as the platonic nature of Cloud and Aerith's relationship 💕

You definitely don’t have shipper goggles on. Square is pushing Cloti in the Remake - *hard*. Clerith moments, on the other hand, have been minimized and in some cases removed.
And @Audrey, this is just the beginning... there is so much more to Cloud and Tifa and their bond that hasn’t even been touched on yet in the Remake. Stay tuned!
