Erinnerungen ans Meer - Memories of the Sea

Hast du schon einmal etwas Ungewöhnliches wie Sand in einem Bild verarbeitet? Damit lässt sich eine sehr interessante Struktur erzeugen. Wenn du wie ich gerne beim Malprozess experimentierst und die Abstraktion magst, kannst du vieles ausprobieren. Hierbei gibt es kein Richtig oder Falsch. In diesem Video gestalte ich ein Bild, welches mit meinen Erinnerungen an das Meer in Griechenland in Verbindung steht.
Um eine besondere Struktur zu erzeugen, verarbeite ich Strukturpaste vermischt mit Sand. Für die Erinnerungen an das glitzernde Meer arbeite ich Reste von Blattgold ein.
Damit sowohl der Sand als auch das Blattgold gut haften und sich später nicht ablösen, ist es ganz wichtig, Trockungszeiten einzuhalten.
Dauer Sandtrocknung mit Strukurpaste: 2 - 3h
Dauer Trocknung Blattgold auf Farbe: 2-3h
Ich habe mein Werk über Nacht in Ruhe trocknen lassen. Dadurch konnte ich es am Folgetag probelmlos weiter bearbeiten. Meine Empfehlung: Ich rate davon ab, einen Heißluftfön zur Trocknung zu verwenden. Das Material kann rissig werden und später abfallen. Manch Dinge brauchen zum Gelingen einfach Zeit.

In this video, I create a work that is connected to my memories of the sea in Greece.
To create a special texture, I use texture paste mixed with sand. For the memories of the glittering sea, I work in remnants of gold leaf.
To ensure that both the sand and the gold leaf adhere well and do not peel off later, it is very important to observe drying times.
Sand drying time with texture paste: 2 - 3 hours
Drying time for gold leaf on colour: 2-3h
I left my work to dry overnight. This meant I could continue working on it the next day without any problems. My recommendation: I would advise against using a hot air dryer for drying. The material can crack and fall off later. Some things simply need time to succeed.
