I know this is an old video but just started reading your book and watching your videos. I sell vintage postcards and vintage photos, online. I want to eventually design my own postcard greeting company. I've been wanting to also start a blog, and a postcard subscription company for artists, scrapbookers, and people that enjoy making junk journals. Thanks so much for encouragement and advice through your videos. It has really helped me a lot!
SO MANY ideas! Whew - I have been absolutely blocked for the longest time (story too long to tell here), but I knew I wanted to start another business. At 74, the first hurdle is am I too old? This video has made it so simple for me and has seeded other ideas that don’t necessarily pertain to starting a business, but of managing a good life. I feel done with the procrastination that I have been stuck in for years.! Your video came into my life at the perfect time. Thank you.
Noah, you are awesome! Your videos cut out the clutter around business and make it fun again. I kept on stressing out around coming up with the perfect idea, but your approach is really resonating with me. My key takeaways from this video: 1. Business can be fun. 2. Solve your own problems. 3. Don't overcomplicate things. 4. Validate (first customer) as soon as possible. Thanks for all the content, man!
Binge watching. I like this one. I used to be a house painter. Im starting businesses- from building cabinets to hanging gutters- from your advice. Good stuff.
From all the tips you gave me (super helpful by the way - GOLD) my biz idea would be in the area of self Improvement/ creativity/ helping people/ physical product and marketing is where my interest is/ designing and bettering the world is another one. Based on this the ideas i have atm are: 1- Create my own architecture firm/ agency (I'm an architect) where people would actually NOT hate working , and which would not be a soul crushing nightmare but a fun and vibrant place to be. 2- Sell art supplies at good/ discounted prices so its not a rip off as it is usually or as a subscription service+ with perks like inspiration what to draw or creative tips? 3 - Make a vvvv shape "pen holder" (horizontal not vertical) to have a better pen organisation when drawing Feedback on the above is welcome, you can trash or give a constructive feedback on any of the above!
@@noahkagan so i already have couple of clients on the side for architecture. With the pen holder the no3 in the list above- it would probably be direct messages to say 10-15 people who I think may love this product. As you say, see if at least 3 people in 48h are interested!
@@85201 yeah I know a good bit about seeds and planting and gardening and stuff like that I have my RUclips channel about this too. I started selling Jerusalem Artichoke tubers in March and then seed packets in April of this year I'm already making 600 a month gross sales. I started my monthly subscription seed packs this month and have 2 people on that so far.
If I did not have to worry about money, I would move to southern France and would travel the world half of the time. I love organizing things, packing light for trips, and finding good travel bags (purses, carry-on bags, personal item bags, etc.) I would be happy if I could build a business around those things.
Pweuee pweuee... Thanks man.. I was having idea block until I heard 2 million dollars! Ding ding ding! Ideas started popping up here and there. I'll start a transport business, with my countries population and people constantly moving from place to place, that is the way to go, with immediate returns guaranteed. I'm talking interstate transport. Majority of the population here can't afford air travel.
@@85201 Nigeria, you mean public transport run by government? They exist, but are too few, mismanaged or none existent in some areas. Transport is mostly privately run and expensive. Imagine having one that's a little cheaper than what's out there but comfortable and efficient. We have the population and people moving daily.
Hey Noah! how about... 'Coaching people on fear (Shirtless) whilst riding your bike on a gravel track wearing a one bag with randomised crowd sourced coffee challenges and taco ingredients.
I personally think that would work really well in conjunction with building a social media audience by making free content around that topic. Then, sell personal coaching lessons to your audience who already comes to your channel/content to solve that very problem (their fear). Also it might be a good idea to narrow down exactly which flavor of fear you are the best at solving, since "fear" is a rather broad genre.
I have an idea of a product my brother n law is drawing it up I'm hoping my uncle will build the prototype but don't know what to do after that. Have thought about a few business ideas but getting it started...
If money wasn't a factor in business idea's I would love to create products around that are environmentally friendly an recycle waste we already have into useable products. The problem is I really wouldn't know where to start and most of the time helps a lot when you have money coming in from a business to fund those products. Any thoughts?
@@noahkagan great, looking forward to it! That's what I try to do. I have lots of great ideas but am not the best designer/engineer so one of the products that I made and use everyday, works well but doesn't look the best. I've had to make several versions of it to get to this stage but would love to take it far further which would probably require engineers. Some of the other ideas I've had would probably require specific machinery to make. It's hard to be my own customer if I can't make the product, lol
Hi Noah and everyone! I want to make chocolate bars with my recipes. Do you think it is possible to validate the idea without investing in the beginning? Here in Argentina the basic machinery to start is around USD1500. In addition, to sell food to the market, I have to obtain the corresponding licences and that is also expensive. How do you guys handle in those cases, how do you validate when it comes to food? All my family, friends and neighbors tried the chocolates and they love it. But who doesn't like a good chocolate?
Sebastián Pauluchak have a look at NK’s vid on business in 48 hours - make some ugly hand made chocolate bars - take a few pics - ask friends and family to buy some - promise them some free bars if they take a vid of them trying the bar. Get feedback to improve. Once you know people will buy you can make the money and save to get legit and scale.
Question: how did you decide to use background music for your vlog vs. No music? I've seen both work but am still conflicted for my own. P. S. Re: your question: dating coaching. Started a meetup group in 2011 and proved the idea because two people reached out to me right away to get help, and were my first paying clients.
A challenge I’ve come across in startup business is when the client wants the initial service but they don’t want the scaled version of it. I run a music tuition agency for home tuition (Zoom currently) which has this problem; parents often don’t like that their teacher isn’t being paid directly and is receiving a percentage of the fee. I’ve had the same issue in Schools where a new head of department has been employed by the School; the head has sometimes decided to go against contract and deal with my teacher directly. I’ve found this kind of issue with other businesses I’ve started and tried to scale

Post your ideas below! Let's get to 50?
1 - app for reminding you to congratulate / give yourself credit mid-day
2 - coaching program for busy entrepreneurs who want to live out in a van for 3 weeks
@@noahkagan 3 - substack but for podcasts. easier distribution, consistent formatting and analytics, easy paywall setup
4 - info product for people who want to get off medication for ADHD and self regulate through health / meditation / focus tips, etc
Love software (thanks AppSumo/NK).
I was considering launching a channel/site that explores using the software in order to get the most out of it.
Been following you for couple of years on yt, and this must be most legit, helpful and undersubscribed channel in yt history 🤷🏻♀️
Give it time. We doing this for a WHILE my friend. Appreciate you greatly!

Hello Noah Kagan, how is the link on Reddit 8:40min?
13:25 yeah but telling your friend what to track about your jobs is less convenient than doing it yourself...
*Most important thing:* Don't push it too hard
