For me the strongest performance. Great voice without background dancer or a dramatic show. His voice is in the focus. And this should be the focus of this show instead of the exaggerated performances I have seen so far. Just my opinion.

The other votes don’t count. So, if you would end up on place 11 in every country you would have 0 points, even though lots of people would have voted for you.

The song is kind of generic, but Izaak is a great performer. He deserved a more special song, IMO, but it's already pretty amazing that Germany ended up on the left-hand side of the scoreboard this year.

Being German, it was actually exciting seeing the points rising. Sure, it wasn’t 12 points or anything, but considering how many we got the last few years (0-15) this was definitely the most excited I have been since 2018. thank you all. And thank you Isaak for your great performance. I am hearing your song on my way to university at least once and sing along each and every time. Already back at the national selection, you were my favorite.
If he had competed for another country like Sweden, he would have finished in the top 7. He had the best male voice in the competition alongside the French singer and he felt it. This man had to take so much criticism in his own country, he was so beaten up by the Germans and now he has taught them all better. Last place again, my ass. Be proud of yourself.
@marvin2678 Not at all. When he won the german final, he got hated a lot. They called him deserved last place, ridiculous, nothing special, can't sing etc. Typical germans. He's shown those haters that he definitely has amazing potential and got a good placement. I personally always liked the song and I'm happy with how it turned out. I saw him a bit higher but I can't complain with 12th place. He can be proud of himself.

@derschattenpoet I don't know how many comments you've seen but there were a bunch of people saying that his voice is not good enough for the esc or even bad. Also, many songs this year were pretty much radio songs. I think Switzerland had one of the worst songs + vocals this year and they won. It's a song you easily forget in my opinion. Isaac's strong voice definitely made his song even better. And Norway their placement definitely was, unexpected and undeserved.

My pants literally dropped with all that fire, the scenography, Isaak's impecable vocals and also the fact that he used back-up live singers and did not hide them backstage! The song is kind of generic, but Izaak is a great performer. He deserved a more special song, IMO, but it's already pretty amazing that Germany ended up on the left-hand side of the scoreboard this year.
The point is we don’t have any issue with Isaak. We just don’t like the ndr, how they choose the artists.

Being German, it was actually exciting seeing the points rising. Sure, it wasn’t 12 points or anything, but considering how many we got the last few years (0-15) this was definitely the most excited I have been since 2018. thank you all. And thank you Isaak for your great performance. I am hearing your song on my way to university at least once and sing along each and every time. Already back at the national selection, you were my favorite.

@marvin2678 Not at all. When he won the german final, he got hated a lot. They called him deserved last place, ridiculous, nothing special, can't sing etc. Typical germans. He's shown those haters that he definitely has amazing potential and got a good placement. I personally always liked the song and I'm happy with how it turned out. I saw him a bit higher but I can't complain with 12th place. He can be proud of himself.
@@ancqnin well "Can't sing" wasn't the point many people made... most indeed did recognize him as a good singer, but, the number 1 argument against him was that the song would be "too boring". And well ^^' I still think the song itself could have been more exiting. But that's my own oppinion, I loved Norways entry most and they got last.
@derschattenpoet I don't know how many comments you've seen but there were a bunch of people saying that his voice is not good enough for the esc or even bad. Also, many songs this year were pretty much radio songs. I think Switzerland had one of the worst songs + vocals this year and they won. It's a song you easily forget in my opinion. Isaac's strong voice definitely made his song even better. And Norway their placement definitely was, unexpected and undeserved.

Now that's been a month since eurovision, this song is aging like gold. I know the result he got is a success for Germany considering their performance in recent years, but he deserved more.
