It's so interesting that I just realized that Klaus didn't want to live in a world without Hayley... they could've used another person to sacrifice, he's never had an issue with killing people; but he wanted to go, he wanted to make this heroic sacrifice, which led to Elijah not wanting to live in a world without him. And now I know for sure that Klayleys love was more powerful than anybody ever knew or cared to notice!

Watching this at 1am and I can't hold back the tears. The way they loved each other, the way hayley changed him, the way he became a better person for her. It's so obvious like at the start he was so adamant on keeping her close. Klaus gave her a thousand reasons to abandon him but she never left. And how Klaus and Hayley could just talk and have fun even though they were in different relationships. Hayley and Klaus, no matter how broken they believe themselves to be make each other whole, for their daughter, for themselves. Klaus had to watch Hayley die twice and still never got over it. He was actually respectful and smart to not get in invole in a love triangle like the Salvatore brothers. Lastly because I think a part of him was scared Hayley would never accept him in a romantic sense. But all throughout the seasons you could see the little glimpses of deep love he had for her. I think he held her above everyone bc she was the only person to give him what he always wanted ....love, the unconditional love of a child, and family unit.

Hope parents being dead was a better ending because she has none of there sins, but can know what selfless love can do. Even the toughest families can be bought to their knees, klaus was smart many times but he sacrificed a lot and it destroyed him inside and he doesn't want his daughter to go through the same struggle.
Hayley is happy on the other side with Jackson, her parents, and others in her pack. She probably even with Klaus and Elijah now too. And they will forever wait until Hope joins them. They are in peace.
