Looks like a scene was shot at Quakake (Where the car pulls onto tracks right after the caboose passes and another train is coming on the other track. I see a scene of a freight crossing the "B&O Bridge" at West Falls. There's two scenes from Mainville Fill on the Catawissa Branch. There's a scene near the end that's shot from the top of our mountain looking down into the Ringtown Valley on the Catawissa Branch.
Hi Mitchell: I posted this from a VHS version I purchased many years ago. I was told it is public domain so it was o.k. to post. I would love to see a color version of this film. Reading is my favorite railroad, and I loved the F units. Thanks for your message.
Actually filmed in color, the surviving copies are faded but can now be color corrected. I will be showing the 16mm version to a few railroad groups beginning this Friday.
Nice video. I think I can determine most of the locations here. I assume the spot where the car tries to beat the train is somewhere along the Turkey path, right?
I grew up in Philadelphia and the Reading is my favorite railroad, but I have no idea of the locations in this movie. I have asked Reading fans that live upstate for help, but with no success. If you can help I would appreciate it.

The first near miss looks to have been filmed on the Catawissa just north of East Mahanoy Junction at Barnesville.
