There was some emotion in it but his speed and delivery are a bit off. Some of what he says sounds rushed or like it was very roughly edited and stuck together. That made it seem almost like AI speech at times.

Kasumi was easily the MVP here for reading the room and clearing up the misunderstanding and acting as the cupid for her cousin Wataru and Kyoka, all while trolling her cousin in the process. And it was really sweet seeing Wataru and Kyoka promise to become a couple at the end next time they see one another. 🥰
Despite being a complete troll to her cousin it's nice that Kasumi played Wataru and kyoka's Cupid that brought them together 🥰 his mother can definitely look forward to grandchildren in the future.☺️
So when they see each other again they're gonna be a couple I'm so glad.

I don't like it when the girl doesn't admit the truth like the mc asked Ms. Kyoka if there is something that made her upset but she said no nothing. Like if I was the who got asked by the mc I will tell the truth right away.
They are japanese; admiting the truth isn't the norm.
The lack of honesty is one the major reason drama happen in these romcom.

Unfortunately, the MC's incredible density didn't come off as funny in this one. Maybe the misunderstanding was just too easily avoidable? Or, may the male VA was just reading everything too literally; his speech did sound oddly clipped in tone.

No, that's a genuine person. He has a habit of not putting in enough emotion in the performance.
Some of these dubs are all AI, I heard the same kind of voices in random videos that are not manga dubs
the story is good, two thing that make me a bit dislike it :
1. I think there're no man that idiot, that when he want to explain someone close to others, NOT mentioning his family relation to her first, its easier and its common sense ("You're so close", answer "oh yes, its my cousin..." , simple... )
2. I think the voice actor for Wataru is AI, its so Bad, and its really irritate me...
MC voice is so robotic and out of sync
This felt too forced. Especially the stupid shit when she asked why did he get along so well with the new girl. 99 out of 100 people would pop off something like "oh her? She's my cousin" without even thinking about it. But oh no, the writer had to make something cryptic out of it. After that I was done. I hate stupidity, and that little plot extender was stupid and unnecessary.
You know what? This whole episode was "irritating". jesus, the dude's lines was all over the place and the pacing got me nowhere. I don't care. I'd much rather deal with yesterday's episode. This might be the first time ever seen this art style and character design but in my mind, it feels a bit like romcom manga chan kida vibe here but that's just me. The story feel a bit like this episode from 3 months back called "the girl who always comes to the coffee shop that I work at always gives me a mean stare". I have no idea who sagewolf is but he last showed up with rebecca 11 days ago on this clip called "a popular idol let me sit with her and my picture was all over social media..." By the way, the thunder art looks just like the one from 4 days ago called "the prettiest girl in school vs the boy who is uninterested in romance" which I hate very much.
