I’m of Middle Eastern descent and was raised by very white people. Being an adoptee myself, I guarantee she didn’t confront her parents at the age of 5 of regarding being adopted. You go through a plethora of emotions as an adoptee who no one tells the truth. No 5 year old can process it! It took me until I was 15 to finally say something to my parents.
It is very odd to me, that the parents wouldn’t be honest from the very beginning 🤔 there is nothing wrong with letting your child know about their own life.

I'm adopted also however, I was almost 6. I remember my adoption. I remember living in foster hell too. I met my bio mom and she gave me my dad's name. I nothing he's dead,can't find him.
