Thanks very much for this! 1:07:00 - all of Zappa's jump attacks using swords are overheads. There's no jumping low. In this case it was j.S. but the sword looked low to the ground. Still an overhead.
I think he wanted to say "fullscreen overheads" and just kinda got his words scrambled.

@@Nooctae the j.S. with the sword that low looks exactly like 2S which makes it easy to get mixed up when you're looking at the sword rather than Zappa.
Now that more people are actually playing the game in the US, they've realized how many objectively good options he has. Back when there were only like 20 people in the country playing Guilty Gear, we only had two or three Testaments who were any good. Fiestament was one of them, IIRC.

I've tried playing strive and the game feels completely different, the artstyle is completely different, gameplay is way slower, music isn't the same genre, and the gameplay is also dumbed down to basic stuff, removing a lot of the things that made some characters unique.

People also always say Strive is more basic, as if being simpler removes the depth of PvP from the game. That's also completely divorcing the complexities of the new system mechanics, or the idea that stripping down some characters would also cut fat. Why have two limited moves when have one move that could do 3 different things, with far more nuanced weaknesses. That way of thinking is also very reductive to new/reworked characters like Nago, Goldlewis, Asuka, Faust, or Jack-O. Not to say I wholly disagree ofc, characters like Ramlethal and Bedman? should definitely be more like their Xrd incarnations, but to say Strive isn't real Guilty Gear is dumb AF. Because what even is "Real Guilty Gear"? There are so many different variations of what you could describe as Real Guilty Gear.
