    I'm so glad someone has explained this. I'm an older woman who is bisexual , I totally get this.

    very true it's similar to saying who's the man and who's the woman
    plus they already told us they switch 🤣

    Damn, I am impressed! An intelligent, articulate, and eloquent discourse. Clearly, you study rainbows. This should be required reading for the entire fandom.
    I've seen so many rude and cringy posts and comments.
    My two cents on the SugarScape Mario Kart interview, because who else am I gonna talk to about it; the question was posed with the innuendo, but left open if they chose to answer it at face value.
    The guys took it and ran with it, and I'll never stop laughing at Zayne sticking his head in that helmet.

    I get where you're coming from and it definitely makes sense, but personally I am really happy that the terms Top and Bottom exist, because as a bottom myself I've tried topping and it just makes me feel super uncomfortable and is not enjoyable for me at all, so being able to label it has it perks.
    Of course you shouldn't push that label on to other people it's their own business and character traits can actually vary a lot from sexual preferences, but still, I'm very glad that those labels exist because they helped me understand myself better and come in handy when talking to a sex partner

    • @FearlessCreature
      @FearlessCreature  3 года назад +14

      Those terms are absolutely useful for describing one's preferences, and it's absolutely ok to define yourself with those terms! Using them to define other people based on whatever characteristics is the part that I find problematic, as well as assuming that everybody falls under those labels.

    Oh my gods! Thank you for this....
    I've seen arguments on fan pages about who tops/bottoms. And as a queer person it doesn't sit right.
    Just because someone is dominate in one aspect of their life doesn't mean that's how they are behind close doors, and with every partner or in every situation.
    Xx

    I think most people just joke about them “sharing it really” because of ‘that’ clip, but this video is extremely accurate and I hope more people see it

    • @FearlessCreature
      @FearlessCreature  3 года назад +9

      I wish people were mainly joking about that interview, but unfortunately most of the comments that joke about it in those discussions are something like “they share it… but Toplinson supremacy”, and I just think that people who take part in those conversations don’t want to take “vers” as an answer, because it doesn’t fit into their heteronormative ideas of relationships.

    • @user-bd4lj3zj1e
      @user-bd4lj3zj1e 3 года назад +2

      Yeah, I see a lot of people saying things like “Louis stands like a top” and I’m just like 🤨 wdym?

    • @user-bd4lj3zj1e
      @user-bd4lj3zj1e 3 года назад +1

      But also a lot of people think they’re versatile yet Louis tops more

    • @FearlessCreature
      @FearlessCreature  3 года назад +12

      They may think that Louis tops more, but I don't think that it's relevant or that anyone should have an opinion on other people's intimate life. They've said they share it and that's it. No one needs to speculate it further than that.

    I want to thank you for your post> It was well crafted, and approached the subject matter in an informative, well spoken, and mature way. I am a bisexual female, that I'm certain is well above the chronological age of most of the viewers of this video, that being said, I'm also a hopeless Larry shipper. What I appreciate about the younger generation most is, how so many of you have the courage, brevity, and acceptance of yourselves and others. I have had relationships with women and men, both vanilla, and D/s. (that's a whole other discussion ') ) whether one, or the other, when it comes to sex, I always assume the role of bottom or s, with men, and top or D, with women, these feel most comfortable and natural for me. I may make my own personal observations, opinions, but what is between two people in the bedroom is their business. I find it disrespectful honesty, when people ask them, or when fans would hold up signs regarding their roles at concerts etc. Behaviors, dress, size, etc. don't necessarily categorize gender or relationship roles. It can be deceivingly easier to discern roles in the D/s lifestyle than same sex relationships, because there are clues both visually and behaviorally, that being said, the same cannot be said for same sex couples. It is easy to assume, that the butch dyke archetype is without a doubt is a top, but I have met so many that were most assuredly behind closed doors are bottoms. Like when people assume, both queer & straight, that because I am femme, I want a masculine, dominant partner (with women) which couldn't be further from the truth. Again, a reporter wouldn't ask a head of state which roles they assume in personal relationships, an interviewer wouldn't ask an artist were they dominant or submissive in the bedroom. I think too much scrutiny is placed on defining gender roles , sexual preferences , or proclivity in the bedroom. Do I think they were a couple, yes, do I think they split for a time, yes but given the space and time to separate themselves from their lives and the pressure they were under in 1D and what Cowell & Modest! subjected them to, especially what Louis had to sacrifice, I think they are together now. Those of us who are older, remember the chaos, searching, learning and growing one does in their twenties. I've always told my younger friends, you are not the person you were meant to be yet, you will meet them around 27 or so. You can see that both in them now at 27 and 29. They appear happier, settled, unrestrained, less stressed, and so coming into their own. I couldn't be more proud, or happier for them, they are flourishing, especially Lou

    I'm queer and I feel veryyyyy uncomfortable with top and bottom. I really don't mind topping ot]r bottoming it just depends on the relationship. But I hate how people make it their personality. I just hate labels personally. I feel like labels just restrict things and put you into boxes. That's why I label myself as queer because it isn't restricting me really. That's also why I hate gender because more boxes. Like men can wear dresses, etc. I also just think it's weird to ask someone. But yeah...

    I'm straight, and have found that who tops and who bottoms can shift or change within a (straight) relationship, so I seem to just have assumed that can happen within a gay one also.

    That's why I have always believed Louis could be a POWER bottom. Everyone thinks he's a top because he is more outgoing and dominant at times. But dominance doesn't equal top and submissive doesn't equal bottom. You can mix and match these roles and it isn't black and white.

    I am a hetrosexual female and I have been friends with countless gay people in my long life. I also have straight friends and I never really think about what any of them do in their bedrooms. When we do talk about sex it's usually just banter or if it's serious it's usually more about the emotional side than sexual side. I think most Larries are enthralled with the romantic side of Louis and Harry. They joke about things but it's their songwriting, soft touches, the shy smiles and the longing looks that make them extremely adorable. I hope that people will one day stop looking at homosexuality as anything other than just an acceptable human choice.💙💚

    Absolutely well said. I am so glad you put that out there. I can't comment on gay sex as I am a straight woman but I've lived and worked Ong gay people all my life and I would like to add some of their relationships are beautiful and long lived. Many of my friends are empathetic,kind, funny, intelligent,talented, loyal, outspoken, interesting,caring friends and I wouldn't change them for the world. As for their sex lives number one, not my business, number two, if I'm not getting any I sure as heck don't want to think about someone else's good fortune☺️

    I find it quite horrifying that journalists found it acceptable to ask young boys, whether they identify as LGBTQ+, or not, about their sex lives or preferences. It feels very leery.
