I took the free walking tour a year ago with a local guy. If i remember correctly he said that attractive little building was once the place to collect drinking water from.
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. There is definitely more content coming. Cheers to you too! If you have any specific requests for future videos, feel free to let us know. Happy to have you as a viewer! 🙂
We somehow ended up driving our rental vehicle into the old town market area. Yup, the one with no car entry other than deliveries. We really enjoyed our airbnb near the beach with a short drive into the shopping area. Fantastic memories of a coastal town. Sunshine, people, food and wine were amazing!
Yep it happens :) !, I think your comment about the people is particularly poignant, most of Portugal really welcomes visitors, and couple that to the weather, food and beaches and you can see why so many of us holiday here or live here ! Glad you enjoyed your trip don’t forget to tell your friends about us , and hopefully come back soon. Nick
we're visiting Portugal and the Algarve for the first time in May, 2024. great little video of Lagos! we're staying there for 5 days. i like your taking walks down side and back streets; that's what I always do when visiting new citis and towns.
Hi Nick here, we love this sort of feedback, we didn’t really know Lagos until we filmed there! I highly recommend combining the beaten track with exploring ! Some of the beaches are stunning ! Most people are so friendly and it’s a special town ! Try and do a little “local” the beer is cheap and if you are polite they have more English than most of us have Portuguese ! :Let us know how you get on ! Safe travels :) Nick
Great video on our adopted home town. Your drone shots are spectacular. And yes, Lagos is the best Algarve town to live and visit. Although I am a bit biased.... :) BTW- that little building you were asking about? That is a small tourist shop that sells typical summer items and souvenirs, and rents bikes. Not sure if it even has a name :) What was it originally? No idea, but can only assume a few things since it is by one of the main gates to Old Town. Keep up the great work!
Hi Nick here , love your comment ! We thought Lagos was really special place, so much so that we came back and filmed some of the Xmas market which will appear in a later video ! You live in a really lovely part of the world:) thanks for supporting us people like you keep us motivated and are crucial to the success of our Chanel, encourage others to subscribe and check out our links to help us continue to grow the chanel and promote the Algarve ! Thanks again Nick

The little building you asked about is the last remaining water station. A place locals would come to get water. Although now it is a cute gift shop.
We had quite a few replies on that subject :) You people are a fountain of knowledge. Love when we can learn someting new. Thanks for watching!
