In Kananga, the third largest city in the Democratic Republic of Congo, famine and poverty is part of the lives of the people. But hope never dies. The message that two Greek Orthodox priests carried along with them in the 60's and their way of life carries on to this day, helping the locals deal with the harsh reality. This feature documentary was filmed during a fragile window of temporary peace.

I cried too, but that was when I was watching the Greek Version without subtitles! This documentary is so well made, that it goes straight to heart...bypassing language. May the Savior bless both the people featured in the video, & those who made it!!!

Beautiful simplicity. They are way more humble than I could ever become. May God continue to bless them and help me to pray with simplicity and love

Marvel at how incomparably better Christians they are then the blasted colonialists from Europe.

What a beautiful documentary, thank you for sharing this gem. It caught me off guard, normally don't have such an emotional reaction. These people are so pure, so natural and simple (in the most positive sense!), living the faith and breathe it. All without intellectual blahblah and distractions we're poisoned with in the degenerate west. It's comforting to know Orthodoxy will be preserved, maybe not in Europe, but most likely in "the center of the world".

May our Lord Jesus Christ bless these great people for sacrificing their whole life to the love of Gods children! This movie touched me very much and i honestly thank you dear Pavlos. Through your talent we saw a world that is, sadly, so strange to our daily "civilized" life...
I wish i 'll have the chance sometime to visit Kanaga Notre Ville and i believe that i'll gain a lot more than i can possibly manage to give...
