One of the greatest trailer ever made. You know, the monologue is taken from the beautiful novel of Haruki Murakami "Kafka on the shore"!
Thank you for that info. I’ve been looking ages for where that comes from.
My favourite director Alejandro González Iñárritu, he's so underrated.
Not any more :)
Not anymore :D
Not anymore :DDD
Javier was amazing in this role - this is by far his best role. Such incredible depth, emotion, turmoil, sensitivity...list goes on and on.
Alejandro González Iñárritu deserves at last an oscar!!!!
All of his movies, up to now, are pure masterpieces.
All I can say is that everyone should go see this movie. when I left the cinema I was literally in this weird daze, couldn't stop thinking about it after. Definately one of my favourite movies :)
Can;t imagine watching it in the cinema. Very deep and touching experience to process in public.
I think Javier was sublime...absolutely different class....I cant think of another actor who could have played this part to such a level. I loved the movie (finally watched it today). It was so worth watching and I think unfortunate for Javier that Kings Speech was in the same Oscar group that year, cos in a different year, he was worthy, in my view.
My own experiences of Barcelona (ok, the tourist experience) are of a vibrant city with beautiful people, architecture, food and a great football tradition! This movie opened my eyes to another side, but the movie really could be set in any city in the world, it was all issues that are increasingly common.
I'm left thoughtful and reflective after watching this today and thankful for that.
Yes! I found myself thinking of this film days after i watched it. Initially i was hesitant to watch it due to the general public's reviews on the film - 'it was so depressing, so dark'. Well sometimes life is depressing and dark! Gritty, realistic, but such intense and deep emotions, i've seen nothing like this film since either.
The feedback put me off as well...but you're right, the movie is all about gritty, realism. It does mix some joyful moments in to what could be called a dark tale. But even then it ends on a note that might bring some comfort to many who wonder about the "What hapens next" life/death question.
Dark tale or not, I feel better for watching this movie :)
Out of interest, have you seen Blue is the Warmest Color? You can find it on here and, in terms of stunning performances by future stars, it's well worth the time :)
Craig Scott By the end, the things that needed to be taken care of was (meaning his kids - they will be taken care of) and getting to meet his father at the end, there was a sense of peace after it all.
No I haven't the movie you are referring to, but i will. I go to a free movie streaming site to see movies now. TY for the recommendation! i'll be sure to check it out. =)
Have you seen Babel and 21 Grams? Both of those films left me thinking of it days later as well. Such intense subjects, an amazing director.
I smell Oscar nominations for this one. Just looking at the trailer, definite nomination for cinematography, possible directing too.
A great film. It stayed in my mind for weeks.
This is in my top 3 movies of all time. Absolutely amazing.
Que actor tan maravilloso es Bardem!
@HairNetsRock Yes, it is. I saw it in México a few months ago, spanish lets Bardem give an incredible performance.
Cannot wait to see this! Inarritu is a brilliant director!
I love foreign/independent films.
They have very different and unique elements.
This is probably the strongest film I have seen in years. Innaritu knows how to tell a sharp story on the screen. I was both saddened and shocked. So glued to the screen. - @vc29
I hardly know anything about this film, but the editing and music has made me very interested in seeing it. When was the last time you saw a trailer that didn't give half of the key plot points away within 2 minutes?
Trailers should set the mood and tone of the film. They are an extremely important part of marketing films, and I love it when a trailer doesn't fall into the standard routine with the same boring Hollywood editing and music.
How have I never heard of this?! Buying it right now
I WANT THIS TRACK SO BAD
IT'S SO COOL
Could you tell me, what is the name of song?
Desandando el Camino - Gustavo Santaolalla (Qhapaq Ñan)
@@eljuanshot_ gracias
@Yobo77
Are you complaining about the voice itself, or about what it's said?
What's said is taken from a book by Haruki Murakami btw.
best trailer in a long time
I searched so long for the song in this trailer, i cant find it. If anybody knows the title, please post it here!!
Anybody know what the music that starts at 1:41 is? Pretty sure I've heard it in a previous film.
@Rauloomat Wong Chia Chi's Theme by Alexandre Desplat on the soundtrack for Lust Caution
Good movie just watched it on Mixvid for the first time.
hi, can you tell me who the actor was playing Javier Bardem's father? thanks!!!
Beautiful movie.
Oh, god, I NEED to know where I can find this song!
Why isn't this song on the official soundtrack? Has anyone located it???
Is good as babel or amores perros?
@masterwsm the song is "Ritmo de la noche" by Safri Duo but in the movie
use a remix of that song
Does anybody know what the track used is?
bardem's face is so powerfull and strong.
I really love this movie
Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu es un capo!
what's the music name ?
track id pleasee
@MrWonderfulMusic Wong Chia Chi's Theme by Alexandre Desplat on the soundtrack for Lust Caution
do u know the name of the song when Uxbal went to the table dance??
somebody please find out the music played in this trailer....
why the scene at 2.04 is not in the movie!!!??!?!?
What's the name of the song playing from 2:04 till the end?
Best movie I ever saw.
@ojblas Yah I know the composer he has composed for babel, and amores paros, but do you know the piece used in trailer?
@veovideomaga Well I tried it, and nothing came up except for videos with Gustavo's music from other films and his own albums. You have to be more specific.
Loved this film, Bardem in particular was fantastic as Uxbal, while I'm on the subject of movies in the Spanish/Latino idiom,Perro El Bon Bon ( ? ) is great too. The Best I've seen yet though, is, Soy Cuba, go see it folks : )
I like the guitar suspense
@mazakiel takes place in spain, not mexico
song name pls
The song in this trailer is a slightly edited version of the theme song from a movie called 'Lust Caution'. Search up 'Lust Caution Theme'.
Does anyone know what Gustavo Santaolalla's piece is that is blended/mixed with John Murphy Adagio in G minor (from the movie Sunshine? I am guessing that overall it's slightly remixed to give it more percussive sounds to match the scenes from the trailer.
It's the theme song to a Chinese movie called 'Love Caution'. Search it up!
2.03 is not in the movie!
bardem is the best
What is name of song ?
whats the song at 0:30
@HairNetsRock Yes!
anyone know what the music at 1:20 is? the guitar piece over adagio in d minor (by john murphy) i think
Maybe this music is by Gustavo Santaolalla, he works in all Iñarritu Movies...google his name.
+Tramawesome93 Did you ever find the song?
@emoneylegend81 I'm not sure of the song name, but it is undoubtedly by Gustavo Santaolalla, since he always composes for Inarritu. It sound like something Santaolalla has composed mixed with the 'Sunshine' soundtrack. It's nice! If you like this you should definitely listen to some of Santaolalla's other stuff (Endless Flight is nice- from the Babel soundtrack).
This trailer alone is better than a lot of films that are around at the moment.
What song is this :O!
@GibtsFragen gota be something from Gustavo Santaolalla but I can't find this exact melody anywhere. It is a rearrangement for the trailer for sure but finding the original song would be cool. Let me know if you find it... Also is it just me, or this trailer is far better than the official?...
julia2807, the song is adagio in d minor, by john murphy... i'm sure you've hear it on sunshine or kick-ass...;)
@FastAnticFour You must have heard it Sunshine, the song is by John Murphy, see MiguelGuedesPinto 's comment above
Hello. Recently I watched This movie but I don't really get the main idea of the film because I did not watched it in my native language. Could someone please explain what happened at the end? I am asking about last snow scene. It was his son? Where did he go? And what was scene meaning when chinese guy died? Thanks for help and sorry for my discuasting english. :)))
Uxbal meets his father for the first time - his father died before he was born. Do you mean the chinese guy that was on the ceiling? Uxbal had the ability to see dead people.
De Poolpy - The guy who he met in the snow at the end, i THINK, was his father.
The Chinese guy dead in the bed was the boyfriend of the factory manager. The manager was not comfortable about being bisexual (I THINK he was bi, but possibly homosexual - but either way he seemed in denial about it) and the manager realised (after the terrible event) that this guy was a nasty piece of crap.
Happy if anyone has anything to add...
Yes Craig, the guy Uxbal met at the end was his father. Uxbal carried a picture of his father, which was same person he met at the end. Uxbal had just died.
Thanks for clarifying that Joy, it made sense that it was his father. An amazing movie I thought :)
Craig Scott YVW Craig. :) Yes, it was an amazing film. I had never seen so much range and depth of emotion as this character. Javier Bardem did a steller job in this role.
I have great respect for him as an actor, after seeing him in this role. It's one of my top 10 films of all time.
@PIREO83 Q quieres q c ponga hacer peliculas d "hellboy" como guillermo del toro???
One of the best. It's a bet gloomy but this how supposed to be. having reflected a real life drama, I couldn't imagine Spain with such poverty and insecure life, This gave me insight to it.
Hey guys anybody who knows which song it is?
It's a mexican production in co-production with Spain, but it's labeled as a MEXICAN film, why because the mayority of it's crew incluiding it's producers, director, writer, director of photography ARE MEXICANS!
i dont know anything for sure about the music, though considering Inarritu's previous works, it might be Gustavo Santaolalla playing the guitar. (Have you checked out the soundtrack list? .imdb.com/title/tt1164999/soundtrack I guess it's not here, but worths a try.) good luck with finding the song;)
@77pox It's a Mexican film with great Spanish actors. Look it up
I want it too T____T
una de las pocas peliculas que demuestran la verdadera filosofia de la vida, totalme3nte difrnte al cine de la cultura hollywoodense
se ve bastante buena q lastima q no pueda verla por que el b15 BUAAAA ay me invitan
@Atitoinnyc It's Mexican film tradition. I guess literature too
is this in spanish? i want to watch it to help me get better at the language
god..i want to see it, why it take so long time to come to the cinema in DK
@loz2502 mexican film, do your research. the film was set in spain with spanish actors but with mexican writers and director.
Sí
I f***ing knew it! That when he bought the heaters, those we hazardous. I mean not just the gas, what if some kid accidentally touch it?
I dont miss Inarritu's film. I think it will be also a masterpiece like Amores peros and Babel.
@Bendog1985 instrumental gustavo santaolalla. text from haruki murakami. just do some research.
@77pox Yes ,but that does not make it a Spanish film
although you are mostly right, not all american movies are the hollywood movies. There where some great us movies this year. (killing them softly for example) Still no right for anyone to discriminate though!
I'm desperate to know if this will lead to a new trilogy. Just as the death trilogy started with Amores Perros.
@GibtsFragen Its probably just for the trailer, but it is reminiscent to Gustavo Santaolalla's "Pajaros".
This trailer was in winter's bone dvd
@ostpizzan innaritu is actually a mexican.
@GreenLemonFruit yes, i read this book, but i don't remeber these words..
@delxart Im American and LOVE Inarritu's films :) perro I love Mexicans and many things in life and the world.....
@guitarnroses92 thank you _o_
@delxart Agree :')
@Rauloomat
It's John Murphy's Adagio in D minor (sunshine ost) with some little charango bit that Gustavo Santaolalla has put over the top. I've looked everywhere for it but it seems not to exist as a track on it's own :( If anyone knows where it can be found I'd love to know.
Finally nailed the track by Gustavo Santaolalla!! It's "Desandando el Camino", from the album Qhapaq Nan. You can purchase it on iTunes
@@delportino Oh my god finally someone found it thank you !!
@loz2502 I will have a look for it. Thanks mate anyways
@GibtsFragen
ja
Speech by the book Kafka on the Shore
the song sounds a lot like iguazu by gustavo santaolalla, but i cant be sure...
@Atitoinnyc its not mexican its from spain just saying not talking shit this movie its dope
The other side of Barcelona.!!
he obviously had a reason. the guy insulted his people and he was giving him a taste of his own medicine. you make the mistake of taking it personally
@xsniperx366 because there are hundreds of languages in the world apart from english, and they want to do good movies too!!!!
@andyastro1 This movie looks good,is like amores perros and babel?? what is the plot??? is about a guy who work with illegal immigrants in spain,right??? something like that
@MiaSunshine100 okay sounds sick! thnx
