Great to see Jorbs enjoy this so much in multiplayer! I have been playing this a lot and playing this solo just doesn't compare to the complexity of multiplayer games. Can't wait to see 12 hours playthroughs of Jorbs piloting all four characters. Small pointers about drafting: 1. if your card reward has two of the same common, you replace one of the two; 2. after each act you shuffle your common/uncommon rewards deck (not your rares).
Where does it say that in the rulebook for your first point? I don't see it anywhere. That's just a house rule, if you want to play it that way however.
i am currently doing a 2 player run and we got through act 1 it took us 2 hours as we were learning the game but i imagine we will get through the next 2 acts faster but it will proabably take 1-2 more sessions
My favorite build is The Wastrel with Moxie and Drinking to amass ungodly amounts of Empty Bottles. ...I should probably also mention that I painstakingly created a mod that ports Griftlands characters to Slay the Spire... But for real, while I probably have a higher win rate as a poison Silent, my *favorite* build is just endless orb overflow as Defect.
I think I can agree with the other comments. I used to just listen to VODs on my drive to work. Now that I don't have the same commute I can listen in the morning while I game or get projects worked on! a Long Game campaign of this would be awesome
Note: This is from a completionist. Full collection, A20 all four characters. [And crafting this comment while watching]. I love how the art and names are the same but are mechanically designed for board game instead. And Daily Climb & Ascension for the game! Co-op Spire is so interesting to watch. It'd probably be a mess but I'm curious how a full 4 player game would play out. 3 potions per character also seems really good. And EVERYONE gets relics and no relic restrictions. It also feels like an extremely smooth transition between mediums. Engagement I think this would make a good long game (or whatever the board game series is called). Builds: Defect - Power/Lighting (Storm build). Watcher - Wrath +Strength. Silent - 0 Cost attacks. Ironclad - Corruption + Dead branch (Just keep going) Bosses: Act 1: On high ascension I find the Hexaghost the hardest as most of the time double the burn clog up your deck before you can defeat him. Act 2: The collector, as he respawns minions. Robot starts with Artifact but most builds favor massive damage to a single target. Act 3: It heavily depends on your build but you're usually set in your strategy before the act, but Time (Profanity) as I name him wrecks infinite combo decks and Bird can wreck power builds if you don't finish immediately.
This feels like a super repalyable version of Aeons End Legacy with a lot of the mechanics between, but just seeing it I think I prefer slay over AE. I’d love a true campaign/legacy version
This comment is being made early on. Am I missing something? They keep saying Vulnerable is double damage, but I'm pretty sure it just adds +1 to every instance of damage. Still good with multihits, but not great for single giant hits in the boardgame, unlike the videogame. Edit: Apparently, looking at the companion app, I am wrong. I swear I read it in the rulebook as +1 to every hit, but I probably just read it wrong.
@@iPhailepically I definitely wasn't, lol. I played through all three acts over multiple days with someone else, treating vulnerable as +1 to every hit on the next attack. Edit: Looking at it, maybe it's because weak is right below vulnerable, I combined them when reading them??
Weak and vulnerable also cancel each other But I was making them weak before doubling their damage, which is not correct Lots of mistakes to be made :)
i'd definitely watch a long game of this.
I would definitely watch a Long Game of this.
Also interested in a Long Game of this
You guys NEED to do a full play of this, maybe even try some of the Ascension rules to start and toss in Mr.Wheeler or Graham to get to 4 people.

I like that the game says one round takes about 60-90minutes... we needed 3 full evenings for our first round for all 3 acts. love this video!
It does say 60-90 minutes per act on the box. The per act part is easy to miss

+1 to watching a Slay the Spire long game. Bring on the unlocks!
this looks great! always nice to see jorbs here interacting with the crew!
1:55:20 Pretty sure Elites are always in the bottom-right of the fight. I wonder how that effects balance by having it in the top left instead.
This looks super fun! Would love to watch more!
I’d 100% be down for a Long Game of this, it’s one of my favorite shows yall do, and I believe this game would be perfect for it.
I'd watch more of this anytime
i seriously need more of this guys. Great freakin content!

This was fantastic! More slay the spire content please!
my favorite slay the spire build is taking the good cards
I'd love to see this as a Long Game!
This would make fantastic long game content.

Oh. Hi Jorbs.
Bongle: Dongled.
CA-CAW! (gains +1 engagement)
I would watch a Long Game of this.
My favourite build to try and fail to ascend with is shiv silent
Halfway through watch this I got the StS itch, so I booted up my Steamdeck and then somehow the video was suddenly over. Very down for more of this.
skip to 9:32
38:20 end of a first combat.
Man this game would take forever...
Please do a Long Game of all the acts!
Slay the algorithm, when?
The claw!!!
that was an amazing stream!
I too would watch the heck out of a StS Long Game.
Daze doesnt go to the exaust pile i think.

Get FrostPrime on here!
Good Jorb
This makes me wanna reinstall the game, and all the 193 mods and do Prismatic Packmaster runs...
Long game ?
I like Shivs, especially with the relic that gives you a random card whenever a card is exhausted. That can make for some goofy turns!
Long game, please!
Take us to act 2!!
Long game long game!
omg yesss 🔥
Seeing all the comments asking for a long game when this video is almost 3 hours long has me very confused.
*The Long Game* is a sibling show to AFK, where we play legacy or campaign games (RISK Legacy, Gloomhaven, etc), so that’s probably what they mean.
This comment is being made early on.

You're thinking of Strength. Which is just +1 for each instance of damage
