what a treat! every woman rolled their eyes when you said, "there's no directions about building a pig port. Who needs directions?" The pig port is fantastic, and even I - on 1/4 acre with a moderate sized house - can find a spot for one. And the drying rack will be a wonderful treat when the garlic and onions start coming in! Well done Jason, and yes - ending the day in the garden with family is a wonderful end to every day. Thank you for sharing.
"I don't have time to watch RUclips (to learn how to do something)!" - The irony couldn't be stronger:-) Great to see everyone helping out at the Hollar Homestead and like you said, that is your community! Yes to rain barrels!
Love your channel! You’re an incredible builder with all the vision! Most of all I LOVE YOUR HUMILITY and sweet family. I’ve been watching for months! Better than Netflix! (and we don’t own a TV) Stay healthy and please keep them coming
I truly believe there is no end to your building skills. You did a fantastic job on the drying rack today. You need to draw up plans and have them in your store. I got the green house plans for $5.00. It was a bargain for me. Someday if I get land, I will definitely get your garden cart plans.
L bracket & mallet, my go to for anything at sort-of right angles ;) I so enjoy seeing you and your family in the garden in the evening and your ingenuity when working with Justin. Well done!
I'm a visual learner too....I do watch RUclips to learn things.... I'm learning right now watching you👍✓ while laying in bed sick with a cold. Love the "beautiful day in the neighborhood!" Yes, I'd be your neighbor if I was a homesteader.
Love your videos and the Mr. Rogers Want You be My Neighbor...lol. After watching your building videos and the way you explain how to build things, I feel like I could build anything.
Great video! Thanks for the laughs! I watch with my daughters (20 &18) and we all 3 really enjoy your channel. We learn, we laugh, and we're inspired! Good work! :)
Oh Mr Rogers ... Don't say you don't have time to watch RUclips lol, because I'm late from canning from the garden.. But I try to always go back to binge watch you in the evening ... I so enjoy you channel ! I. Know you are a person that has vision ...❤️
No pre-drill. So sad. … I needed a railing on my loft, and through your encouragement - grow food, build stuff - I got busy and built one. So much pre-drilling - I was in heaven! AND I have a fabu railing now! You're inspiration!
You are so talented, smart with a great work ethic - the singing, laughing, joking and just plain having fun makes me want to watch for hours, love happy folks doing their thing!
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, Mr. Rogers lives on!!! BTW, my son graduates from CSUSB in December, Criminal Justice. I saw Lorraine wearing a CSUSB shirt a few videos back :) Love your calmness, kindness and attitude towards life. Thank you Jason
Love the little Mr, Rodger's diddy! Lol....I really like how you guys fast forward the video's, it makes me stick around and watch. Sometimes theae videos can get so long! I tell my husband, "Jason can build it in like 20 minutes!" Lol
This was great Jason thank you for the inspiration with your builds and the encouragement your channel brings may many blessing come to and along with you and your family on this aMaZing journey😃👍🏽
Great job at Justin's. Yeah, water catchment would be a good thing! Then the pig water is right there! Love seeing the beautiful girls in the garden with you. You're a very lucky man! Blessings to you and your girls from NE Missouri!
Try pumpkins and melons in climbing mode. I've read that even though they get heavy, that the stems thicken to accommodate the weight. But I've only seen photos.
Thank you for this! I'm getting ready to do this to a carport we use for our chicken run. I want to set it up for rain water collection to use for thier water supply.
Rain comes off the end of the carports. The ridges run horizontal keeping the water from going down the sides. Look at catching water off the low side and directing it away.
I am a certified pig shelter drain inspector and you cannot drill into the gutter without a permit. Other than that not bad. The beans, lean them on the trellis and give them lots of water. thanks for this.
It’s looking good. Great thing you can experiment on someone else’s pig shelter, lol. To help divert rainwater even more, you could put triangle brackets on the shelter posts and attach a outward sloping board..that might also be a better point to attach the gutter.
Looks good, yeah you're right I don't know of any carports that have rain gutters on them. But yeah be a good idea to put barrels there it's a shame letting all that water go to waste.
Hello, Since you have so much squash, zucchini use the flowers to make A Mexican flower quesadillas I'm sure you can find a recipe on RUclips they are delicious. I personally love them with jack cheese but any cheese works yummy and delicious.
You should check out Al's channel. He's always coming up with really great idea's. His portable pig mobile is fantastic, so is New Yolk City, his mobile chicken coup.
Check out Lumnah Acre's. Al has the plan's you need. He created his own gutter system for his mobile chicken coup to save rain water for his chickens, he also uses it for his portable pig mobile lol! He did a great job on them.
Would love to see a video on what lottery you won’t to be able to do this and not have to go into an office/job 12hrs a day 6 days a week in order to afford all this.. holy wow.. homesteading is crazy expensive!
"Good morning, friend, congratulations on the wonderful work". I think thats right, well done Jason.... watched you at the Holler's too... You all seemed to be happy as you worked.
Just wondering if it would be worth having a barrel to collect the rain off the roof - like that set up you have at your place outside your greenhouse. The water would then be on site for the pigs when it rained.
Can you do an update view on adding gutters to the slanted peak ends. I’m wanting to get the same carport and install gutters the same but unsure of how to add them on the peak ends. Appreciate your video
Love your channel. Your daughter is a little ray of sunshine.
Thank you! I hope you have a good day Sally!
Love the idea of gutters and adding rain barrels!
thanks Al!
Your building skills are amazing I admire your personality your such a wonderful friend

Never a boring day. Nice job on the gutters. The drying rack was a nice design. Congratulations on the increased subscribers.

I like the idea of rain barrels like you mentioned.
Those roofing screws are SO handy!
Love to watch what you are up to next. Always creative. Nice little setup. Hoping to one day come back up that way and visit the store.
Great job on the pig port!
Thank you!

Nice job Jason.
Jo Jo in VT
You are quite the handyman and very creative!
Great video and music! Have a great weekend!💕
Mister Rogers would be proud! Lol so cute! Great job!
Back to the pigport. Good repurpose of the screendoors. It's work, but you eat like a king. Thanks for posting.
Oh my! Don't trellis the pumpkins. They root along the vines as they grow. Just a tidbit that I learned last year. I almost did it.
Singing for the pigs..🌻🐷🐷 I'm sure they enjoyed the entertainment while you worked...
Have a beautiful evening...
That was a great job today. God bless you and your family
Subbed today. Came from Farmfits video when you helped the Hollars!! Thank you for helping them. Hugs
This is perfect for what I need. My goat barn is a converted carport. So lol. I guess I have a goat port. Thank you
Great job.Amazing shelter pen 😊
Try pumpkins and melons in climbing mode. I've read that even though they get heavy, that the stems thicken to accommodate the weight. But I've only seen photos.
Awesome. I so love the way you put gutters on your hoop house(other video) Definately confident to try that here thanks!
Think that pig was enjoying you serenading it lol 😂
I wish you were my close neighbor. I could use your wonderful skills on our homestead.
Thank you for this! I'm getting ready to do this to a carport we use for our chicken run. I want to set it up for rain water collection to use for thier water supply.
LOVE your channel.....you have a beautiful family.....God bless you
Love your videos. Your family doing a good job.
If anyone can do it you can !!!! See, your amazing and so is your family ☺☺
Your more gregarious on your channel than Jason's. That's way I started watching your channel. You do great work.👍
Rainwater could be directed into the pigs water barrel.
They would need something to handle overflow, but that'd be great.
Awesome i need to find the rain barrell video. Thats why Im puttin gutters on my goat barn 😊
Pickled green tomatoes and baby watermelons are very tasty.
Music is totally awesome always rocks!
Justin, you are super awesome and multi talented. I admire you and your skills. You are a good Jury Rigger :)
Good morning! And it is a beautiful day in the neighborhood, neighbor. :)
Now all the rain is gone for at least a weak! Can’t wait to see how it’s gonna work.

Can't ever go wrong with Mister Rogers . ( :
Our beans turned out to be Bush's as well...
I love it when you show how to build things, Im not very handy so I learn a lot.
Do you sell plans for the garden cart?
yes. see our website. sowtheland.com
Well they make gutters that simulate rain fall to naturally push it away from the structure cheaper too for anyone looking to do this..
Loved the video
Check out Lumnah Acre's. Al has the plan's you need. He created his own gutter system for his mobile chicken coup to save rain water for his chickens, he also uses it for his portable pig mobile lol! He did a great job on them.
you need to tell him to order a case of flex sea for that .flex seal as seen on tv
yup!
Would love to see a video on what lottery you won’t to be able to do this and not have to go into an office/job 12hrs a day 6 days a week in order to afford all this.. holy wow.. homesteading is crazy expensive!
It's not how much you make. It's how little you spend.
**BOM DIA AMIGO PARABÉNS PELO MARAVILHOSO TRABALHO**
"Good morning, friend, congratulations on the wonderful work". I think thats right, well done Jason.... watched you at the Holler's too... You all seemed to be happy as you worked.
No Moss grows under your feet my friend. 😉
Doctooooorrrrr Strangeppppppooooork. Sorry. I could not help myself. ;)
I'm sending you guys some yard long beans in the mail
Love a day in the life of....
This is that time of year you have to lock your car to keep people from trying to use you to get rid of all that durn zucchini.
Divert the gutter to the waterer. Because of the ridges on the steel isn’t the water going to just run off each end?
The sides were the issue. Not the ends. Thanks
Can you collect the water for the pigs?
Just wondering if it would be worth having a barrel to collect the rain off the roof - like that set up you have at your place outside your greenhouse. The water would then be on site for the pigs when it rained.
I explained that in the video. We may do that at a later date. Thanks
@@SowtheLand I'm sorry that I missed that bit - I shall listen again when it is quieter here. Thanks for your calm and grounding videos.
I appreciate you jane. Thank you!
Hey Jason. What are the chances we watch you raise pigs on your homestead next season? God Bless
Can you do an update view on adding gutters to the slanted peak ends. I’m wanting to get the same carport and install gutters the same but unsure of how to add them on the peak ends. Appreciate your video
Adding the rain barrels
Nvm not rain barrels lol
❤🙏
What was the gutter kit you bought? I would like to do this collect rainwater.
You've spent a lot of time with these pigs now, have you grown attached?
no
Ha! Maybe come harvest time you'll feel differently.
Why dont you use rainwater barrels to recycle the water....?
One way to do it.
Don't pigs love to wallow in water?
Good song..lol
My carport needs gutters on the open ends, not the long sides.
