My dad was executive chef at the St. Anthony in the 1960s. He used to take me to work with him when I was little. I'd love to see what the kitchens look like now. Maybe someday I'll get the chance. Thanks for the look at the current hotel!
I worked at the St Anthony all through high school. I was the hotel's "kid" to relieve employees who wanted time off. We didn't have paid vacation so I was paid by the employee. It was a wonderful place to grow up and I worked in every department, from age 15-18 when I went to college. When I was working in accounting, I typed the check to pay for the chandeliers, I remember hitting the 0 key so many times. LOL each chandelier was $10,000.
Can’t wait to to be back to San Antonio. This hotel looked pretty fancy. Good to see they got you a new Kurog. You don’t want to see a RUclipsr with no caffeine. I bet those roof too parties are epic. Thanks for showing us around.
I’m traveling in Sep with family for first time to San Antonio, loved your reviews. This hotel looks nice, but I’m also considering the westin or Hilton Palacio for the better locations on riverwalk ,, would you please share your thoughts?
Thank you! Well the disadvantage of the St Anthony is it’s not on the riverwalk- you do have to walk a few blocks up. It’s really pretty, but it may be more convenient for you to be closer depending how old your kids are. When sharing a room- i didnt like the glass door on the bathroom- it might be problematic if you have older kids that are using the bathroom late when you are trying to sleep. But I haven’t stayed at those other hotels. Have a great time!!
St Anthony Hotel can't wait to visit.
It’s gorgeous!

Excellent video!!! Do they charge for parking?
Yes they do and I think most of the hotels in the area charge -fifty dollars per night to park
Beautiful hotel! Haven't been to this one. Doesn't look like a bad one to stay in if one has to visit San Antonio. 😄
This hotel was a real treat, and looks like another great place for a wedding! 😂😂
Nope!! We stayed there a few years back and we saw way too many ghostly things. The bellhop just said don’t look t them. I will never stay there again
I would love to hear your stories!
I went to the hotel and they don’t let me play the piano.
Bummer!
