i swear you and some of the commenters are not watching the same show as those who can actually understand sol… she is not trying to avoid the incident, she knows it’s inevitable, it will happen… she is trying to avoid sunjae getting anywhere in the mix of it that’s why she’s not telling him anything because he won’t listen (he had already told her he doesn’t care if he dies if it’s for her.) she’s frustrated the ending won’t change and is actively blaming herself bc of it… can you imagine seeing someone you love die multiple times and you think it’s your fault bc if they never tried to save you they wouldn’t have been sought out for revenge, it’s survivor’s guilt and it’s very real and valid. also some ppl calling her an emotional wreck, i swear y’all only say this with female characters, but she is quite literally constantly in traumatic situations, she’s traumatized, what do you expect her to do skip and giggle through a field of flowers? i wish y’all could actually understand her instead being like why isn’t she doing this or that bc y’all only care about sunjae’s feeling being hurt…

Sol wasn't trying to avoid the situation to happen she wanted to end it there, her goal is to protect sunjae by letting him leave so she can get rid of the crazy dude.

If that psycho failed to kill Sol back in 2008, or 2009, he would come back again at her in 2023. That's a psycho he is. She accepted it and wanted to solve completely the problem right there (ofc she has asked the police to protect her then). Only by doing that can she save herself and Sunjae as well. she's just trying to protect him, everything she has done so far was to make sure sunjae does not cross paths with the taxi driver. she got off the train so that she can confront him and even informed the police and had them on standby. she'd rather risk getting hurt than sunjae getting hurt.
From a viewer's point of view it definitely is frustrating because we obviously want them together but they keep encountering so many problems. In my opinion, Im Sol got off the train because she knows that her visions are inevitable, I mean we've seen it previously with for example Sun Jae's shoulder, her getting kidnapped, etc. She just wanted to protect Sun Jae, completely disregarding herself which shows how much she loves him. I think that's the problem, she doesn't try to look for a solution where they both survive and end up together. But I guess that's her way of loving someone and I totally understand her. Maybe you'll feel that way too after watching episode 13 and 14❤️
Im Sol is trying her best. I feel like people are constantly getting annoyed with her without thinking that’s she’s literally exhausted from all this and her main priority is keeping Sunjae alive.
I get that some thins she does can be frustrating but we gotta remember This girl is traumatized. Shes seen him die 2 times. Shes been kidnapped, and she know she is going to get kidnapped again, and no matter how hard she tries she is fated to get kidnapped again. She went back to the past to make sure sunjae doesnt get killed because of her. Spoiler for ep 13!! She has her own plan to get the taxi driver caught earlier then original , and if she saw that she was able to do that wothout getting sunjae involved of course she would
Sol priority is sun jae's safety thats her main reason why she time travel...no imsol slander please my baby doesn't have a choice, as much as she wants to be with him..remember that this is not her time, if she goes back old imsol will take over and that would confused sun jae badly
she’s not trying to avoid the situation, she’s actually planning to face it without Sunjae in the equation cause it will happen sooner or later so if she waits and goes back then 20yo sol will have to deal with it and will just result on her being paralyzed + sunjae’s inevitable demise. Ultimately she’s doing this to protect him because this way she could send him away and he wouldn’t become a target when it all happens.
In episode 9.. Even if Sunjae wasn't dead yet, the fact that he was stabbed in a coma was terrible for Sol, and she had one chance to go back in time, so Sol had no reason not to use it. Maybe Sol couldn't think deeply about anything other than the idea that she should go back in time and save Sunjae And in episode 12.. Sol's goal was not just to avoid dangerous situations, but to catch the killer. The killer will hover around her to kill Sol unless he is caught, and she can't be in unpredictable danger. Sol planned to catch him, not just avoid danger from the beginning. Originally, she asked the detective in advance to catch him on the date and place of the case record she saw, but the future has changed, so she got off the train and left there. And Sol's second goal is not to let Sunjae encounter the killer. Sunjae died in 2023 because Sunjae encountered the killer while trying to save Sol. If Sunjae knows about Sol's plans in advance, he will never leave her and try to stay with her, so Sol had no choice but to act to remain alone. There are frustrating parts, but Sol made the best choice she could think of.
That’s the point, the whole history is about « can you change your fate ? » or « can you influence other people choices ? » and the response seems to be : no you can’t, you have to face the events. Sol finally understand that, she knows that if she don’t face the killer in that exact timing the events will occur no matter what and in other circumstances and she don’t know how is gonna turn out so she decides to face the events while she knows something. The previous episodes shows that she can’t influence Sun Jae choices, Sun Jae accepted that he might die saving her, so she knows that he will keep doing the same choices over and over again. The events will happen, no matter what, if she leaves the town by train with him that doesn’t mean that she avoid the event, on the contrary, she would have postponed the event, moreover she would have changed the circumstances again and she would even be sure that she can avoid them this time (having visions ). It can be fustrating but it shows that she’s far from selfish especially since her goal it’s only for Sun Jae to never meet the killer so that in 2023 the killer does not go after him for revenge. You just have to analyze a little bit more the actions and pay attention to the dialogues, there is so much hints about destiny, fate, choices… 🙏🏼
She got off the train because she realized that wherever she went the psychopath would still follow him. Sol's mission in this third time is to catch the psychopath and and not let sunjae meet the psychopath at all, because if sunjae meets the psychopath, he would kill him instead of imsol. So she made decision to catch that psychopath while away from sunjae. Remember she called police and worked with Taesung's father? Yes that's her goal, they have a plan to catch him in that building. But because the future changed again she change her plan too. She doesn't know sunjae know all her plans. So yeah 😂 The episode 13-14 more into imsol pov so maybe you'll more understand. I hope it will be happy ending bcs they deserve happy ending after all these pain 😭
If you can't understand the depth of Sol's character and her choices, then you can't come around the message of the drama overall. SHE CAN'T AVOID OR RUN AWAY FROM HER FATE. SHE NEEDED TO FACE IT ALONE
She's not trying to avoid the accident/killer because thats inevitable. What she wants is to avoid SJ being there because she knows he will help her which will make the killer come after him instead. Since the accident is going to happen no matter what, she at least will have the police there to help catch her. She doesn't mind putting herself at risk as long as SJ doesn't get hurt.
I also felt the same way you feel about this choice but i think she did that because she didn't want sunjae there when the creepy dude comes so there won't be a chance that he gets hurt plus she kinda did have a plan set you will see it in ep 13 . Protecting sunjae is her top priority that is why she time travels

NO!!! you don't understand SOL who fought with time & space, how many times she was forced to smile when she must have broken down multiple times on her own and there was no one to understand or share her grief SOL IS ONE OF MOST SELFLESS FLs
i mean she understood (after coming back three times) that nothing is going to change if she doesn't come face to face with the taxi driver (with the help of someone that isn't sunjae). I can't even put into thoughts what it would feel like being the only person that doesn't change in three different timelines, and seeing the love of your life dying three times. For me she is one of the most realistic characters in kdramaland.
In the documents it clealry said he was the witness to the attack and thats why the taxi driver comes after sunjae. She wanted to be the one to put an end to it without involving sunjae since her future had changed. And who in the right might is ok with their loved one dying even if they say their ok with it. Not to mention he keeps repeatedly dying, and she doesnt want that anymore. If u actually saw the episodes, youd know shes suffering more than him, and their acts of service when it comes to loving is just different.
I think she got off the train just because she wants to end this “game” as early as possible. She tries to deal with all these by herself. If she doesn’t get off the train, she doesn’t know when will the psycho come after her again. And there will be a whole new scenario. But she now knows the future, knows what the psycho will do next, and she knows this is the time to end all of these by her own efforts. She once believes she can take control of all these and protect sunjae at all means. Fight or flight, she chose the former obviously. She might not be selfless, but she is strong. Sol and sunjae have different viewpoints when it comes to love. Sol’s ultimate goal is to save sunjae, just want him to alive and not get hurt regardless of sacrificing all. But sunjae wants to love her without any regret even though he knows he will die. This explains why Sol does all these by herself. Yes, what she does didn’t align with what sunjae wants, because she thinks only sunjae still alives, then he has his chance to live longer and does all the things in the future. But if he dies, there aren’t any other chances for him creating a future. All the memories that they share will make her feel guilty for not able to save his life. Their viewpoints have been discussed in the episode 14 too. They really need to fix this before continuing their relationship. She didnt see everything at once, she saw pieces and got freaked out. As she saw him running to her, she decides just meet this “criminal” or kidnapper (idk) by herself (+with the help of police) but without Sun-Jae. She believed that she could deceive him by acting like young Im Sol. Her logic was just facing the maniac but without sunjae. It is frustrating that sunjae gets hurt anyway, but I dont see why you think Im Sol is annoying. As you said this is drama, fictional story written by writers, so if writers decided to write this way, that is it. Just watch it or dont
I think if she goes back to Seoul with Sunjae, the event in the building will happen. But if she remains without Sunjae, she was hoping that he will not be there, he "can't" reach her easily. So she chose the later. She just failed to account that people care for her, like the police, her mom and Sunjae. With those people around, she was not able to avoid what happened. Which mirrors ep 13's choice
I just wanted to say, remember how many times you yourself have said no to make assumptions? There you go, let's wait for the next episode, no spoilers, i just want to say, there is a reason, or more like a plan. Im Sol has a plan, and in her mind, Sungjae is not around, he's miles aways back in Seol, and again, in her mind, safe. Of course she doesn't count on how smart Sungjae is and the trust he has on her, because he believes she's coming from the future to save him, he would come running to save her, as he does, without hesitation. And if I remember correctly, Sungjae doesn't know that the taxi driver is looking for her, that is the real reason of all this story, Sungjae only knows that she's in the past to save him, but doesn't know the reason. The reason why Sungjae has died every time is because of her, she knows that but Sungjae doesn't. So as he says, it's been his choice to encounter the culprit every time. And this brings even one more thing for me, I think that even the first time Sungjae didn't take his own life. The doorbell is ringing several times before we see him fall, I think that he dies because of the same culprit, the taxi driver, as Sungjae is critical for the taxi driver arrest back the first time. Which bring the thing about fate again, is that his fate? I hope not at the end. I hope you give the story a chance and can't wait to see your reaction on 13/14 😅

about her doing things early , it's not her choice as she has a limited number of chances to go back in time on specific periods at 12 am so if she didn't go back when he got stabbed and he does die at the hospital she would lose the only chance to save him
Imsol just wanted to protect Seonjae. She tried to solve everything in her own way and prevent any harm to Seonjae. She even informed the police and made her plan. Imsol fed herself to the taxi driver just to prevent Seonjae from getting hurt. No matter how hard she tries to escape from the taxi driver, eventually that taxi driver will find him in every timeline and try to kill him. Imsol didn't go back to Seoul so that all this wouldn't happen and everything would end as soon as possible and Seonjae wouldn't get hurt. We need to look at the events from Imsol's perspective, because the man she loved was killed 3 times in front of her eyes, this is not an easy thing.
As it said future changes..so even though they left from there to avoid that thing it might happen again since it just avoided not completely resolved. So I think she is trying to completely resolve this because this is her last chance for time slip. And she witnessed his death many times and she is guilty for that since she feels like it's her fault. I think I understand her decision. She just wants to save him..maybe it feels like she is doing the stupid thing. I think she is trying her best to save him. She just wants to protect him. And like it may seem very frustrating and I think she knows that everyone thinks like that about her..and she doesn't care as long as she could save him.And we know sunjae never thinks of her as a frustrating person since he knows the whole thing....he knows whatever she does will to protect him❤❤❤❤

I really think understanding & loving Im Sol reflects our IQ & EQ distinctly. Majority of the POV & monologues are Sol's. She literally takes us on a journey w her & her thought process. This is the same person who had to watch the person who encouraged her to live again when she wanted to end her life & the love of her life die 4 times, once right in front of her eyes. Her choosing to go back & not meet Sunjae, her pushing him away is at the expanse of her carrying that immense pain & yearning. It's about her choosing to change her fate without getting Sunjae tangled cause she knows no matter how many times or what she does, he will run to her, he will willingly give his life up for her. She knows how much he loves that's why she chose to make sure they never met so he won't have to go through any of the pain he did, she doesn't want him to go through or feel even a needle prick's equivalent of pain, especially not cause & for her. We literally see Sol's journey which allows us to live w her, love w her, yearn w her, cry w her, breakdown w her, be anxious w her & push Sunjae away, the very same person whom she would give up her everything, even her life for (just as he would). Do you realize the pain & suffering she has to go through to make the decision she did. To her as long as Sunjae is alive, healthy & has a chance at living, she'd be willing to do everything. Even if it means she has to carry every single memory they have of eo on her own. Even if it means in her head (we all know they are meant to be & end up w eo) if he is alive & he can do things in his life & move on she's alright w carrying all the pain & suffering. Even if it means she won't ever be able to move on from him, she is willing to spend the rest of her life w their memories & knowing & seeing Sunjae alive & healthy doing what he wants. That's the love of Im Sol that's why Sol & Sunjae deserve eo & are written for eo. Her love is so pure & selfless & heartbreakingly beautiful, even the word LOVE seems small to describe her love for him. That's why it's the universe's law for them to always find their way back to eo, cause of the depth of their love for eo

I partially agree with you but let me just clear the misinterpretation. When she said "Sunjae died because of me?" when it is clear af that sunjae is just in a coma, What she really meant was the original timeline before her first timeslip where sunjae already died, she thought that sunjae died because of depression and he khs and she just happened to connect the dots that is why she just randomly said that phrase. Next, her last timeslip where she's in the hospital. She immediately press the button becaude she don't have time really, Kim young soo (the taxi driver) was lurking around and we won't know what will happen or he might plan another wicked shit on her and attack her, if that happens. she would obviously won't be able to timeslip because she maybe dies too. And because she just realized that sunjae didn't committed suicide that night, he's been killed by that jerk because in the original past timeline, kim young soo was arrested because of sunjae right? so he might be planning on getting revenge on sunjae and because sol didn't remember a single thing that time, she don't know what's happening and busy fangirling over sunjae, and that made her blame herself even more so she said that "it all happened because of me, so I'll make sure to fix it" is that deep. And also in the train scene, She pretended to have gone back because she didn't want sunjae or anyone to get involved again because of her but didn't intended to sacrifice herself or die also. In the early episode of ep12 we saw that she's been seeking help on tae sung's dad which was the detective so maybe she plan on lurking him for that shibal to get caught finally, with the help of detective , so she for sure be safe and secured, if she happens to run across kim young soo, she would just lurk the killer because we all know that the kim young soo were after her only, she didn't intended to die on that time because she knew sunjae didn't want that and I understand her for that. And also, I agree with you in the part where she should have been told sunjae about that incident so they would come up with the plan, that's why I get a little disappointed in ep9 go 12 because my theory beforehand was maybe she would team up with sunjae, taesung, and the detective to lurk that punk and caught him. They might ate that up if that what she's thinking but instead, she did it on her own again, like literally she didn't learn 🥹. But maybe that's because she's facing her traumatic experience over and over again too, she maybe tired and scared deep inside but because she want to act strong, it results of her impulsiveness which why everything go wrong. Yeah, Im Sol was trying to avoid her fate with the taxi driver but on top of that, it was also the reason why Sunjae died. She was trying to change both her fate n sunjae's fate of dying because of her. But little did she know that Sunjae will always come running to her to save her not knowing that he also always ruin Im Sol's plan of trying to save both of them that's y this drama is frustrating somehow lol. Over all tho I really think Im Sol is very brave n the one who's making all the sacrifices in this drama. I also really hope they will have a happy ending cause they deserve it. You didn’t actually listen to understand a word I said did you? 😅 Im Sol herself isn’t frustrating yes… but she makes frustrating decisions… even though I can understand why she’s making the frustrating decisions it doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s still a bad decision, ESPECIALLY after Sun Jae insists he wants to get involved in these plans (the same way she includes the detectives in her plans she can include Sun Jae). You’re essentially saying Sun Jae dying in episode 13 wasn’t frustrating, I saw the decision she made in episode 12 and immediately knew what was gonna happen… hence frustration, idk why that’s hard to understand. I still love Im Sol and understand why she did it, but it doesn’t take away the fact that not including Sun Jae in the plan the same way she includes the detectives was a bad decision (even if the plan doesn’t work out). She been through A LOT so I can understand she won’t be making good decisions… but that doesn’t take away the fact that it was a bad decision. In episode 13 as Sun Jae dies if we look at his face, does he look like he regretted that? Not at all, he lived the life he wanted, and as sad as it is, it’s MORE loving to allow him to lead the life he wants. Again I can understand why Im Sol is doing things this way, it’s not easy to allow a loved one to do something that might result in their death, but at a certain point she’s the same as an overprotective parent (that we still love obviously 😅❤️). Im sure we can understand why overprotective parents are so protective… but to say frustration doesn’t exist there is wild to me.

it's because there's nothing she can do even even if she doesn't get off the train the killer will still follow them because you see Sol's fate is changing that something bad will happen that's why Sol wants Sunjae not to be involved so that he doesn't die in the future but Sol doesn't know that Sunjae saw her talking to the police

I understand that feelings were running rampant at the moment but they knew someone was trying to harm her so don't let her go off alone🤬😡 The entire scene I was screaming at them to at least let Tae Sung stay with her or at a distance, because did Sol even have a plan, did she bring her stun gun, or was she just going to wing this? Also, also how does getting the stalker arrested in 2009 help the situation in 2022/23? You know he'll be released and likely to target you and by extension Sunjae again, like be more vengeful girlie, break his back like he did & make sure he's crippled for life, that's what I would do 😊😇

I understand what you you are saying even i asked myself what they cant face it together. Sunjae would even like that too. That sol could ask him for his help. Even i cant understand her beheviour sometiimes. But in her Perspective she is out of her mind. She witnessed his died twice. Seeing someone dying who likes her it makes her feel guilty and it seems like she lost her mind. In the beginnig to the end she faces everything. She is the one who knows Everthing and living with those memorys even i would not able to sleep. She is completly mess. Its not her fault. One Thing i noticed is also the Story and also probably the message behind it. Its just my thought. She has to face her fate i think. The message might be also that fate cant be chnaged. Beginn i thought this a cool idea to travel back and Changes Everthing but like you said Situation got even worse. After i realized that whatever she try to change its Like circle. Like you have to meet you fate. Still i have that Question why she had that chances to do that or is its a lesson for her i dont know. I love lm sol but l agree like some of the problems could have been avoided if she opened up to her family, boyfriend and friends. Yes we get she is trying to protect sun jae but he is mostly going to go after her if she is in danger
You're absolutely correct, I don't get some of the writing and directing choices for Sol's character. They turned me off her after ep.8, when I was a big fan of Sol and her ditzy sometimes overbearing ways previously. Like I used to enjoy that character, and they just turned her into an always crying, annoying, illogical mess ughh. I'm so frustrated cuz I loved LOVED the earlier episodes

I see some comments making it seem like we are crazy not to see her motivation. I understand her motivation but in the show the direction and writing for the character is frustrating, so it hard for me to watch.
I really think understanding & loving Im Sol reflects our IQ & EQ distinctly. Majority of the POV & monologues are Sol's. She literally takes us on a journey w her & her thought process. This is the same person who had to watch the person who encouraged her to live again when she wanted to end her life & the love of her life die 4 times, once right in front of her eyes. Her choosing to go back & not meet Sunjae, her pushing him away is at the expanse of her carrying that immense pain & yearning. It's about her choosing to change her fate without getting Sunjae tangled cause she knows no matter how many times or what she does, he will run to her, he will willingly give his life up for her. She knows how much he loves that's why she chose to make sure they never met so he won't have to go through any of the pain he did, she doesn't want him to go through or feel even a needle prick's equivalent of pain, especially not cause & for her. We literally see Sol's journey which allows us to live w her, love w her, yearn w her, cry w her, breakdown w her, be anxious w her & push Sunjae away, the very same person whom she would give up her everything, even her life for (just as he would). Do you realize the pain & suffering she has to go through to make the decision she did. To her as long as Sunjae is alive, healthy & has a chance at living, she'd be willing to do everything. Even if it means she has to carry every single memory they have of eo on her own. Even if it means in her head (we all know they are meant to be & end up w eo) if he is alive & he can do things in his life & move on she's alright w carrying all the pain & suffering. Even if it means she won't ever be able to move on from him, she is willing to spend the rest of her life w their memories & knowing & seeing Sunjae alive & healthy doing what he wants. That's the love of Im Sol that's why Sol & Sunjae deserve eo & are written for eo. I'm so glad someone else feels the same way too cuz I thought I was just being a hater. Her choices blow me and then on top of that, the crying everytime irritates me as well. There were definitely some poor writing AND directing choices for Im Sol's character and even SunJae in some episodes. Still going to finish it though but I almost quit after Ep.12 lol

It is fate that she has to be killed by that psycho. There's nothing we can do to change this event, no matter what she does to prevent it. If that psycho failed to kill Sol back in 2008, or 2009, he would come back again at her in 2023. That's a psycho he is. She accepted it and wanted to solve completely the problem right there (ofc she has asked the police to protect her then). Only by doing that can she save herself and Sunjae as well. She didnt want Sunjae to be involved in this. She wanted to protect Sunjae at all cost. I think you can get it when you watch the next episodes. Always love your reaction ❤

she's just trying to protect him, everything she has done so far was to make sure sunjae does not cross paths with the taxi driver. she got off the train so that she can confront him and even informed the police and had them on standby. she'd rather risk getting hurt than sunjae getting hurt.
From a viewer's point of view it definitely is frustrating because we obviously want them together but they keep encountering so many problems. In my opinion, Im Sol got off the train because she knows that her visions are inevitable, I mean we've seen it previously with for example Sun Jae's shoulder, her getting kidnapped, etc. She just wanted to protect Sun Jae, completely disregarding herself which shows how much she loves him. I think that's the problem, she doesn't try to look for a solution where they both survive and end up together. But I guess that's her way of loving someone and I totally understand her. Maybe you'll feel that way too after watching episode 13 and 14❤️

Sol priority is sun jae's safety thats her main reason why she time travel...no imsol slander please my baby doesn't have a choice, as much as she wants to be with him..remember that this is not her time, if she goes back old imsol will take over and that would confused sun jae badly
she’s not trying to avoid the situation, she’s actually planning to face it without Sunjae in the equation cause it will happen sooner or later so if she waits and goes back then 20yo sol will have to deal with it and will just result on her being paralyzed + sunjae’s inevitable demise. Ultimately she’s doing this to protect him because this way she could send him away and he wouldn’t become a target when it all happens.

Even if Sunjae wasn't dead yet, the fact that he was stabbed in a coma was terrible for Sol, and she had one chance to go back in time, so Sol had no reason not to use it. Maybe Sol couldn't think deeply about anything other than the idea that she should go back in time and save Sunjae
And in episode 12..
Sol's goal was not just to avoid dangerous situations, but to catch the killer. The killer will hover around her to kill Sol unless he is caught, and she can't be in unpredictable danger. Sol planned to catch him, not just avoid danger from the beginning. Originally, she asked the detective in advance to catch him on the date and place of the case record she saw, but the future has changed, so she got off the train and left there.
And Sol's second goal is not to let Sunjae encounter the killer. Sunjae died in 2023 because Sunjae encountered the killer while trying to save Sol. If Sunjae knows about Sol's plans in advance, he will never leave her and try to stay with her, so Sol had no choice but to act to remain alone.
There are frustrating parts, but Sol made the best choice she could think of.
That’s the point, the whole history is about « can you change your fate ? » or « can you influence other people choices ? » and the response seems to be : no you can’t, you have to face the events. Sol finally understand that, she knows that if she don’t face the killer in that exact timing the events will occur no matter what and in other circumstances and she don’t know how is gonna turn out so she decides to face the events while she knows something. The previous episodes shows that she can’t influence Sun Jae choices, Sun Jae accepted that he might die saving her, so she knows that he will keep doing the same choices over and over again. The events will happen, no matter what, if she leaves the town by train with him that doesn’t mean that she avoid the event, on the contrary, she would have postponed the event, moreover she would have changed the circumstances again and she would even be sure that she can avoid them this time (having visions ). It can be fustrating but it shows that she’s far from selfish especially since her goal it’s only for Sun Jae to never meet the killer so that in 2023 the killer does not go after him for revenge. You just have to analyze a little bit more the actions and pay attention to the dialogues, there is so much hints about destiny, fate, choices… 🙏🏼
She got off the train because she realized that wherever she went the psychopath would still follow him. Sol's mission in this third time is to catch the psychopath and and not let sunjae meet the psychopath at all, because if sunjae meets the psychopath, he would kill him instead of imsol. So she made decision to catch that psychopath while away from sunjae. Remember she called police and worked with Taesung's father? Yes that's her goal, they have a plan to catch him in that building. But because the future changed again she change her plan too. She doesn't know sunjae know all her plans. So yeah 😂 The episode 13-14 more into imsol pov so maybe you'll more understand. I hope it will be happy ending bcs they deserve happy ending after all these pain 😭

Since the accident is going to happen no matter what, she at least will have the police there to help catch her. She doesn't mind putting herself at risk as long as SJ doesn't get hurt.
I also felt the same way you feel about this choice but i think she did that because she didn't want sunjae there when the creepy dude comes so there won't be a chance that he gets hurt plus she kinda did have a plan set you will see it in ep 13 . Protecting sunjae is her top priority that is why she time travels

i mean she understood (after coming back three times) that nothing is going to change if she doesn't come face to face with the taxi driver (with the help of someone that isn't sunjae). I can't even put into thoughts what it would feel like being the only person that doesn't change in three different timelines, and seeing the love of your life dying three times.
For me she is one of the most realistic characters in kdramaland.
In the documents it clealry said he was the witness to the attack and thats why the taxi driver comes after sunjae. She wanted to be the one to put an end to it without involving sunjae since her future had changed. And who in the right might is ok with their loved one dying even if they say their ok with it. Not to mention he keeps repeatedly dying, and she doesnt want that anymore. If u actually saw the episodes, youd know shes suffering more than him, and their acts of service when it comes to loving is just different.
I think she got off the train just because she wants to end this “game” as early as possible. She tries to deal with all these by herself. If she doesn’t get off the train, she doesn’t know when will the psycho come after her again. And there will be a whole new scenario. But she now knows the future, knows what the psycho will do next, and she knows this is the time to end all of these by her own efforts. She once believes she can take control of all these and protect sunjae at all means. Fight or flight, she chose the former obviously. She might not be selfless, but she is strong.
Sol and sunjae have different viewpoints when it comes to love. Sol’s ultimate goal is to save sunjae, just want him to alive and not get hurt regardless of sacrificing all. But sunjae wants to love her without any regret even though he knows he will die. This explains why Sol does all these by herself. Yes, what she does didn’t align with what sunjae wants, because she thinks only sunjae still alives, then he has his chance to live longer and does all the things in the future. But if he dies, there aren’t any other chances for him creating a future. All the memories that they share will make her feel guilty for not able to save his life. Their viewpoints have been discussed in the episode 14 too. They really need to fix this before continuing their relationship.

She didnt see everything at once, she saw pieces and got freaked out. As she saw him running to her, she decides just meet this “criminal” or kidnapper (idk) by herself (+with the help of police) but without Sun-Jae. She believed that she could deceive him by acting like young Im Sol. Her logic was just facing the maniac but without sunjae. It is frustrating that sunjae gets hurt anyway, but I dont see why you think Im Sol is annoying.
As you said this is drama, fictional story written by writers, so if writers decided to write this way, that is it. Just watch it or dont

I think if she goes back to Seoul with Sunjae, the event in the building will happen. But if she remains without Sunjae, she was hoping that he will not be there, he "can't" reach her easily. So she chose the later. She just failed to account that people care for her, like the police, her mom and Sunjae. With those people around, she was not able to avoid what happened. Which mirrors ep 13's choice

Im Sol has a plan, and in her mind, Sungjae is not around, he's miles aways back in Seol, and again, in her mind, safe. Of course she doesn't count on how smart Sungjae is and the trust he has on her, because he believes she's coming from the future to save him, he would come running to save her, as he does, without hesitation. And if I remember correctly, Sungjae doesn't know that the taxi driver is looking for her, that is the real reason of all this story, Sungjae only knows that she's in the past to save him, but doesn't know the reason.
The reason why Sungjae has died every time is because of her, she knows that but Sungjae doesn't. So as he says, it's been his choice to encounter the culprit every time.
And this brings even one more thing for me, I think that even the first time Sungjae didn't take his own life. The doorbell is ringing several times before we see him fall, I think that he dies because of the same culprit, the taxi driver, as Sungjae is critical for the taxi driver arrest back the first time. Which bring the thing about fate again, is that his fate? I hope not at the end.

Imsol just wanted to protect Seonjae. She tried to solve everything in her own way and prevent any harm to Seonjae. She even informed the police and made her plan. Imsol fed herself to the taxi driver just to prevent Seonjae from getting hurt. No matter how hard she tries to escape from the taxi driver, eventually that taxi driver will find him in every timeline and try to kill him. Imsol didn't go back to Seoul so that all this wouldn't happen and everything would end as soon as possible and Seonjae wouldn't get hurt. We need to look at the events from Imsol's perspective, because the man she loved was killed 3 times in front of her eyes, this is not an easy thing.
As it said future changes..so even though they left from there to avoid that thing it might happen again since it just avoided not completely resolved. So I think she is trying to completely resolve this because this is her last chance for time slip. And she witnessed his death many times and she is guilty for that since she feels like it's her fault. I think I understand her decision. She just wants to save him..maybe it feels like she is doing the stupid thing. I think she is trying her best to save him. She just wants to protect him. no i get it lol but i'm sure sol is the most frustrated amongst us all. she keeps trying to protect him but nothing's working out and her trauma just keeps increasing. i would be so drained to constantly see my boyfriend dead then alive then dead again 😅
I partially agree with you but let me just clear the misinterpretation. When she said "Sunjae died because of me?" when it is clear af that sunjae is just in a coma, What she really meant was the original timeline before her first timeslip where sunjae already died, she thought that sunjae died because of depression and he khs and she just happened to connect the dots that is why she just randomly said that phrase. Next, her last timeslip where she's in the hospital. She immediately press the button becaude she don't have time really, Kim young soo (the taxi driver) was lurking around and we won't know what will happen or he might plan another wicked shit on her and attack her, if that happens. she would obviously won't be able to timeslip because she maybe dies too. And because she just realized that sunjae didn't committed suicide that night, he's been killed by that jerk because in the original past timeline, kim young soo was arrested because of sunjae right? so he might be planning on getting revenge on sunjae and because sol didn't remember a single thing that time, she don't know what's happening and busy fangirling over sunjae, and that made her blame herself even more so she said that "it all happened because of me, so I'll make sure to fix it" is that deep.
And also in the train scene, She pretended to have gone back because she didn't want sunjae or anyone to get involved again because of her but didn't intended to sacrifice herself or die also. In the early episode of ep12 we saw that she's been seeking help on tae sung's dad which was the detective so maybe she plan on lurking him for that shibal to get caught finally, with the help of detective , so she for sure be safe and secured, if she happens to run across kim young soo, she would just lurk the killer because we all know that the kim young soo were after her only, she didn't intended to die on that time because she knew sunjae didn't want that and I understand her for that. And also, I agree with you in the part where she should have been told sunjae about that incident so they would come up with the plan, that's why I get a little disappointed in ep9 go 12 because my theory beforehand was maybe she would team up with sunjae, taesung, and the detective to lurk that punk and caught him. They might ate that up if that what she's thinking but instead, she did it on her own again, like literally she didn't learn 🥹. But maybe that's because she's facing her traumatic experience over and over again too, she maybe tired and scared deep inside but because she want to act strong, it results of her impulsiveness which why everything go wrong. Yeah, Im Sol was trying to avoid her fate with the taxi driver but on top of that, it was also the reason why Sunjae died. She was trying to change both her fate n sunjae's fate of dying because of her. But little did she know that Sunjae will always come running to her to save her not knowing that he also always ruin Im Sol's plan of trying to save both of them that's y this drama is frustrating somehow lol. Over all tho I really think Im Sol is very brave n the one who's making all the sacrifices in this drama. I also really hope they will have a happy ending cause they deserve it.

You didn’t actually listen to understand a word I said did you? 😅 Im Sol herself isn’t frustrating yes… but she makes frustrating decisions… even though I can understand why she’s making the frustrating decisions it doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s still a bad decision, ESPECIALLY after Sun Jae insists he wants to get involved in these plans (the same way she includes the detectives in her plans she can include Sun Jae). You’re essentially saying Sun Jae dying in episode 13 wasn’t frustrating, I saw the decision she made in episode 12 and immediately knew what was gonna happen… hence frustration, idk why that’s hard to understand. I still love Im Sol and understand why she did it, but it doesn’t take away the fact that not including Sun Jae in the plan the same way she includes the detectives was a bad decision (even if the plan doesn’t work out). She been through A LOT so I can understand she won’t be making good decisions… but that doesn’t take away the fact that it was a bad decision. In episode 13 as Sun Jae dies if we look at his face, does he look like he regretted that? Not at all, he lived the life he wanted, and as sad as it is, it’s MORE loving to allow him to lead the life he wants. Again I can understand why Im Sol is doing things this way, it’s not easy to allow a loved one to do something that might result in their death, but at a certain point she’s the same as an overprotective parent (that we still love obviously 😅❤️). Im sure we can understand why overprotective parents are so protective… but to say frustration doesn’t exist there is wild to me.
Come on we all know that the thinks that hapen in korean drama dont make sense the mayority of the time we all just watch it for the fun the entratainment and the romance but it get us mad all the time the simple things that does not make sense to make drama but i still love them 👍
she was trying to not let him be in it as much as she can because she wanted to protect him but i get what you mean she didn't think of what he'll do because it's too much she witnessed him dying over and over whatever she did that probably was her only solution
You are right. I did not understand why she got off the train. The series was good until this point I started to feel bored with the story.. I hope you will watch the Korean series Kill Me, Heal Me. The most beautiful series ever. In any case, the old Korean series are better than the new ones. Who agrees with me?
it's because there's nothing she can do even even if she doesn't get off the train the killer will still follow them because you see Sol's fate is changing that something bad will happen that's why Sol wants Sunjae not to be involved so that he doesn't die in the future but Sol doesn't know that Sunjae saw her talking to the police

I understand what you you are saying even i asked myself what they cant face it together. Sunjae would even like that too. That sol could ask him for his help. Even i cant understand her beheviour sometiimes. But in her Perspective she is out of her mind. She witnessed his died twice. Seeing someone dying who likes her it makes her feel guilty and it seems like she lost her mind. In the beginnig to the end she faces everything. She is the one who knows Everthing and living with those memorys even i would not able to sleep. She is completly mess. Its not her fault. One Thing i noticed is also the Story and also probably the message behind it. Its just my thought. She has to face her fate i think. The message might be also that fate cant be chnaged. Beginn i thought this a cool idea to travel back and Changes Everthing but like you said Situation got even worse. After i realized that whatever she try to change its Like circle. Like you have to meet you fate. Still i have that Question why she had that chances to do that or is its a lesson for her i dont know. What we all wishes is that their fate should be change but also should think realstic and be prepeard for the next week. So please keep tissues next to you if Something should happen. I love lm sol but l agree like some of the problems could have been avoided if she opened up to her family, boyfriend and friends. Yes we get she is trying to protect sun jae but he is mostly going to go after her if she is in danger
You're absolutely correct, I don't get some of the writing and directing choices for Sol's character. They turned me off her after ep.8, when I was a big fan of Sol and her ditzy sometimes overbearing ways previously. Like I used to enjoy that character, and they just turned her into an always crying, annoying, illogical mess ughh. I'm so frustrated cuz I loved LOVED the earlier episodes

I see some comments making it seem like we are crazy not to see her motivation. I understand her motivation but in the show the direction and writing for the character is frustrating, so it hard for me to watch.

Im sol is at least consistently bad at making decisions and great at disappointing me
I really think understanding & loving Im Sol reflects our IQ & EQ distinctly. Majority of the POV & monologues are Sol's. She literally takes us on a journey w her & her thought process. This is the same person who had to watch the person who encouraged her to live again when she wanted to end her life & the love of her life die 4 times, once right in front of her eyes. Her choosing to go back & not meet Sunjae, her pushing him away is at the expanse of her carrying that immense pain & yearning. It's about her choosing to change her fate without getting Sunjae tangled cause she knows no matter how many times or what she does, he will run to her, he will willingly give his life up for her. She knows how much he loves that's why she chose to make sure they never met so he won't have to go through any of the pain he did, she doesn't want him to go through or feel even a needle prick's equivalent of pain, especially not cause & for her.
We literally see Sol's journey which allows us to live w her, love w her, yearn w her, cry w her, breakdown w her, be anxious w her & push Sunjae away, the very same person whom she would give up her everything, even her life for (just as he would). Do you realize the pain & suffering she has to go through to make the decision she did. To her as long as Sunjae is alive, healthy & has a chance at living, she'd be willing to do everything. Even if it means she has to carry every single memory they have of eo on her own. Even if it means in her head (we all know they are meant to be & end up w eo) if he is alive & he can do things in his life & move on she's alright w carrying all the pain & suffering.
Even if it means she won't ever be able to move on from him, she is willing to spend the rest of her life w their memories & knowing & seeing Sunjae alive & healthy doing what he wants. That's the love of Im Sol that's why Sol & Sunjae deserve eo & are written for eo. Her love is so pure & selfless & heartbreakingly beautiful, even the word LOVE seems small to describe her love for him. That's why it's the universe's law for them to always find their way back to eo, cause of the depth of their love for eo

See! This is exactly why I said she was frustrating! Why did she stay! Why not tell Sun Jae what she sees. She is too impulsive and always trying to act alone. And then when she asks for help, the crap is already about to hit the fan! Thank you! I feel so seen right now!
She stay there to save him from killer. If she tell him about the situation, sunjae will definitely associate with her and also try tto save her. she make a decision by herself so killer don't have a chance to see sunjae face and he will not die in future..

I'm so glad someone else feels the same way too cuz I thought I was just being a hater. Her choices blow me and then on top of that, the crying everytime irritates me as well. There were definitely some poor writing AND directing choices for Im Sol's character and even SunJae in some episodes. Still going to finish it though but I almost quit after Ep.12 lol
