Cheers brother. Just got back from a bangin time on the lake here in Virginia. Unboxed my new NRS pike and went straight in lol. What an awesome boat, close to the same denier as that floor, but it's a bit more at 1000 denier. Even stood up in the beast! Stable as can be, made right in the USA. Handmade in Idaho. I didn't want to get out of the water.

@@Chronically_Outdoors why? TPU is tough stuff 👍 Check out the Pink Flamingo trip we did on the River Lune and you'll see me in a TPU packraft going down whitewater and grounding out a lot - zero damage 👍😁

    Ey up me duck.
What are they like to paddle compared to a half decent drop stitch kayak? Is much more effort required for a good time out on the water?
    Cheers me owd 👍🙂

@@Adventures_with_Sog they're not designed for distance paddling, unless of course you're traveling in a fast flow. But get your paddle stroke right and you can do ok in one 👍😁

While those are very light weight, great for white water, and probably durable, I hear they are really bad for flat water paddling such as on a lake. Also very expensive. Your Aquaglide Cirrus would be a lot better for flat water paddling, and it's about 15 lbs. Those are probably even lighter/more compact package however.
I've been looking for something very light weight and ideally affordable for hiking to remote ponds. The new Tucktec Boto would be a cool new kayak for you to review. It's 10 lbs, and costs only $250. I'm sure the durability is less than many other portable kayaks such as inflatables and other folding kayaking, but this is still interesting. I'd still use my Razolite or Paddleski for every day paddling.

@@classicarcadeamusementpark4242 in general packrafts aren't designed for miles of touring. They're for getting you across terrain or as you say, for whitewater fun.
Nevertheless, they are a helluva lot of fun on the water.
Having said all that, I've done a video where I hopped on a train with it to a neighbouring city so I could paddle on the canal without the hassle of driving and parking etc. In other words they give you lightweight transport options 👍😁

@@MoreThanJustaCleaner It's certainly hard to beat the light weight of those. But check out the Boto. I'd like to see more reviews of it. 10 lbs & $250 US dollars.
