The birds sitting on the walls, looking at you in silence, will set the mood from the get go. It's an eerie place, if you can, you should absolutely visit it. Very heavy.
If you have medium abilities like my brother you would, we visited and we were ok, but as soon as my brother entered the dorms and the gas chamber he couldn’t go in he said he felt sick he felt sad he felt desperation, he started crying in front of me and our guide, he said we could see the bodies he could see the people he could hear them scream cry and asking to stop, he saw kids crying asking for mama, it was really emotional, he had to get out and I continued with the guide. The guide was in shock asking how did he know all that and how he knew they had bodies buried there. I said I don’t know he’s a medium so he sees and hears things all the time we go somewhere. She was really in shock, then I went to my brother he kept telling me he had to do help those spirits, but he couldn’t because they’re too many. He said they wanted to touch him because they really need help. So we left and he doesn’t want to come back but I do
Depends on the time of year. Poland in the winter is certainly frigid but if you went during a temperate summer month you'd be surprised. Shouldn't feel any chills then.
Thank you for making this video! As hard as this is, it is crucial that the youth go and see these massive ominous facilities to forever remember what atrocities were committed. Your coverage was amazing, it really covered everything!! I hope to go someday soon, to see for myself.
Thank you so much, Andrew. We really appreciate your kind words. You are so right. It is a hard topic to cover on such a light-hearted travel vlog, but we felt like we needed to really see it for ourselves. It is important to understand.
I just returned from visiting this. What you showed was Auschwitz 2, aka Birkenau. Your presentation was excellent as I had a tour guide, also good, however, I felt rushed and so I plan to return and walk around as you two did so that I can read some of the plaques that were placed there. A moving experience definitely.
It's good that they show these camps to the public and especially to young people so that they can be educated so that this process of evil can hopefully not be repeated
Thank you for the documentary and the history. . So sad my family came state side from Germany after the war. Oma's sister worked for the german's in the factories for there war efforts. She died at 26. Sad Sad
2 hours from Krakow to Oswiecim? It's barely 30 miles. Thank you for a professional job. Your video points out one of the things I think is so terrifying - you arrive and get off the train. The sky is blue, the sun is shining, everything is green. There may be birds chirping in the trees. You start walking down a path and you maybe think "this might not be so bad. It's certainly better than the ghetto we were in ..." An hour later, you are gone. You no longer even exist. And yet, the sun is still shining; the sky is still blue; the birds are still chirping; the trees are still green.
Omg this was so sad mostly because so many people died and also baby's,kids, and parents died and if u were wondering this is my first time watching this video
Imagine the spirit be roaming around at night 🙏😢 while they still haven't cross over to heaven,.. because they wanted theirs story to be heard before cross over to heaven. I can feel spirit through the video just know that there are a lot of spirit souls still wondering around...
Go and check major Cracow's sites like: - landmarks: Kosciuszko Mound at G. Washington avenue / al. J. Waszyngtona (isn't Kosciuszko an American hero?). - churches: national archi-church of St. Mary(600yo wooden altar) at Main Market; academic church of St. Anne (illusionist paintings); queen's church of St. Mary's at Piasek, Karmelicka str.; and Polish Archi-cathedral at Vavel Castle. - museums: National in Sukiennice (Polish Luvre); Czartoryski's Museum where we have Da Vinci's painting and winged hussar armors.
If you like old artifacts, we have also over 1950 years old painting originally made by St. Luke the Apostle himself on a part of wood from Jesus Last Dinner's table (corrected later several times by conservationists). We keep it in special sanctuary on Light Mountain (Jasna Góra, Polish Olymp) in Częstochowa because various people and invading armies were trying to destroy it in the past.
Thank you for your clip. One of my last wishes on this earth was to visit Auschwitz Birkenau Nazi Concentration Camp to pay my respects to all that were tortured and died in this camp, but because I have agoraphobia I would find this impossible, So may I thank you for your visit there are I can watch this on RUclips.
I was not able to see Leah's cute faces, so will count on a surplus in the next video. Last year I had the chance to tour the Anne Frank Museum in Amsterdam. Moving.
Thank you for this video! Im a history lover, and im very much curious about what happened to the jewesh and polish people during war. And i am very sad thinking of what they have been through. 😔 Btw, i am from the Philippines. Looking forward for more videos! God bless. 🙏
If you really want to learn about Auschwitz watch the documentary on the link below. A former inmate returned some 40 years later with her son. It is perhaps the best documentary on the subject you can find on RUclips. Also check out the film Last Train to Auschwitz. ruclips.net/video/mZYgzW2fS0o/видео.html
It was built on a swamp. The workers feet besides being wet with swamp foot and sore and bloody from mismatched shoes and working standing for hours, or working for hours. They got distemper from food poisoning and sharing bowls to eat they had nothing for periods but starvation set in about 2 months in so many didn't have it for long. When they got diarrhea were called swine and horrible names for not being able to use the bathroom. They did shower in groups not knowing if it was going to be a shower or gas. It was torture no matter where you were in there.
Great video very informative. You kept referencing a documentary you watched what was it?? Where can i find it. Not asking to glorify just asking to inform my teenagers as school is just grazing the subject not really going into WWII
ruclips.net/video/QIbIn18ND6I/видео.html this is any incredibly moving and informative documentary by Kitty Hart. She is a true inspiration to what the human spirit can survive.
ruclips.net/video/mZYgzW2fS0o/видео.html this is another good one by Kitty for teens because she takes two with her to Auschwitz this time. You can see, if it was possible, she is even stronger this time telling her story. Incredible woman and thank you for being a History Teacher!
and alot of the camps were guarded by ss soldiers aged 21-29 years old , its crazy how young they were and u would think by the time people are 21 they should be grown up by that time and mature, but nope these shit heads have now heart which is sad.
Thanks so much for this. It's an interesting perspective for the many who can't make the trip. Otto Frank said the trip from Westerbork in the Netherlands took three days. No room to sit down, much less lay down. He tells the story of how his daughter Anne leaned on his shoulder for hours while she slept, while he stayed awake to keep them both from falling.
This is one of the best commentary about the camp. Thank you. It is so clear that it shows what happened to people who went to gas chambers and those who went to labor camps. in very high detail in the short time here. These are the best guides to me from how I learned a lot. Are you a history major ?
this boy looks like he never worked a day in his life but i guess we owe his family for providing him the resources to go and film because most of us will only see it on youtube
ISREAL. You need to visit this place again. Because you're doing the same thing to the poor Palestinian people. If you don't remember history you're doomed to repeat it.
People really should learn how to pronounce the names of these concentration camps correctly. It’s the very least people can do. To respect all those who lost their lives here
I agree, but please take into account that people struggle with annunciation very badly in there own language and to give them names or words from other languages can make it harder.
