Comparing Tiger with 390 adv is like comparing a Rolls Royce to a Toyota. 1 Tiger xcx or GT pro = 5x Ktm 390. The fact that Ktm can cruise so well on the highways and sustain good speed, is an achiement in itself.
It isn't a comparison as such. He very clearly states that. His intention for this video is to demonstrate the capabilities of the 390 ADV, what you can expect and where it falls short in terms of big bike ADV ownership. His other intention is to create content for monetisation, which is fine, it is his business after-all. He has always maintained that smaller lighter ADVs are the best for off-road. Which is what any experienced rider will tell you. Conclusion is that the 390 ADV is a fantastic machine. Change the gearing up a bit, try and send the bike to a start point by rail or transport if you can afford it and enjoy what it has to offer while touring in the hills. If you plan on riding a lot on high speed highways, do yourself a favour and buy a preowned Versys/Vstrom or whatever premium ADV you like, but be prepared for big buck servicing and maintenance. Or buy an Interceptor and deal with the wind blast and poor ergonomics. No free lunch, no perfect bike whether you look at 3 lakhs or 30 lakhs range.

In one of the recent videos, you mentioned that you would be going to change the sprocket ratio of KTM 390 adventure (one tooth less in front one and three teerh more in the back one). When are you doing it? Please mention here, the impact of sprockets changes. I believe, it would increase the lower end torque and acceleration but it probably cut down the top speed by 15-20 km/hr. But, despite the top speed reduction, the available top speed should be around 150-155 km/hr, isn't it? Please give your feedback on this very important issue. I am about to finalise between KTM 390 adventure and Himalayan BS6.

@@bdelloidrotifer3006 I chose the Dominar 400 - it ticked all the right boxes for me - it carries the same 373.3 cc DOHC engine from KTM 390 and yet provides the right seat height and price for a beginner to start on a powerful motorcycle. Plus it is far more reliable compared to the RE offerings. The money saved got utilised for riding gear and a Givi top box which is phenomenal. And the icing on the cake was the fact that I got the 2022 Dominar that Bajaj just launched with windscreen, extended engine guard, a new bash plate, top rack, USB charging port, knuckle - all thrown in as standard - straight saving of 20k plus.
The comparison is by budget ... Himalayan s lesser den the two in price ... bs6 Himalayan s improved and All the 3 r good tourers and not only a off-road bike... u need brand den go for bmw. U need technology and fun den go for duke ... simple sturdy bike within budget and good tourer den definetly go for Himalayan 👍

Hello Dear, Please don't make such type of videos because you just want to share the feeling of both the bikes when you have driven one by one, But some viewers thought this is the comparison of both bikes. Even knew the fact that both bikes are from different categories in every aspect and price also. Now they started to spread misconceptions about both bikes or make their own assumptions and this is not good for the bike enthusiasts.
@@ShivamSingh-bw9rt I was talking considering the big bike feel. That a person who wants a big bike can rather buy a 650 cc which does around (200 KMPH) easily. KTMs are good but dont give you a big bike's feel with its hard revving engine.

But yes Twin cylinder and four cylinder gives smooth performance if you are buying bike for that more cylinder feel then it's okay.

KTM 790 ADVENTURE would be the fair comparison to Triumph Tiger 800, and once KTM launches it in India it will surely beat all it's rivals in the segment and will come out to be the best middleweight adventure touring bike. PS: I'm not saying it just like that but with proper research and comparison of the 790 Adventure with it's rivals in the international market. Professional motorcycle journalists out there have proclaimed this bike to be the best in segment.

I think Himalayan needs 5-10 bhp more and just better breaks little more bite and that will crush ktm 390adv
But ek baat to hai jab 95% roads pe wahi 100-140 krna hai to a 650 cc is good enough. Bas hod lagi hui hai litre class bechne ki or kuch nahi.
Even KTM 390 adventure is enough powerful for touring KTM just need to make it proper adventure bike like 790 adventure.
