    Unpopular take: I think Addison and Dewar have great seasons. I very much liked what I saw out of both of them last season; especially the 2nd half of the season. They have this innate level of drive/will to succeed that you can’t teach or coach. This may be a bad take come spring time next year, but I think they’ll both of good seasons. (Don’t take this out of context; “good” seasons relative to what people are probably expecting. I’m not calling for a point per game Dewar or 45 points for Addison at the blue line with a +20 rating. Just good years, is all.)

    Between Zucc, Fleury, Foligno, and Goligoski they'd have $14M in cap space freed up. Even if Hartman scores 30 goals again I'd rather see them use that money to go after Lindholm, who would fix their center depth. Then fill out the rest of the roster with guys from Iowa in addition to Yurov and Khusnutdinov who are in the last year of their KHL deals.

    If they don't make the playoffs and a team is interested in someone at the deadline you take what you can while you can and they can always still resign said person

    Guys, i am totally sure, that Wild need to sign undrafted, young Vladislav Firstov teammate - Vasily Atanasov. He is something else, sky is the limit for this guy. He is going to be next Panarin ( undrafted superstar). He is centermen, with Kaprizov, it will be nuclear bomb connection that can lead wild to long life Cup path!

    Evason needs to show one thing this season in order to stick around: that he's willing to play the kids. Myself (and I think a lot of other Wild fans) don't honestly care much about the playoffs this season. As long as Dean can show that he's willing to think long term and work on the young players we DO have instead of playing the vets who, while probably more reliable, don't offer anything to this team in 2-3 years time, then Dean has nothing to offer the team in 2-3 years time. Cut the cord sooner rather than later if Evason isn't willing to think long term.

    I'll start with Addison
    I've been told from inside camp people
    Addison is not signing a contract
    Will play in Europe this year and start over , he's not in love with Evason
    Zuggs was are worst player the last two months of the season,age catches up with him Same with Foligno
    They both have lost a step, and it shows.
    Fleur at this point should only play
    On back to backs,
    Duhaim and Gus both stay
    Which leads me too are coach
    Dean Evason, his attitude towards kids is his undoing, gone by by Allstar break
    Welcome Jason King who loves the kids!!!

    I'm still hung up on Deano's playoff performances. Maybe I'm too much of a Deano guy, but you're missing Eck this last postseason + the Stars were arguably a top 3 team in the league. The Blues the year before, in my opinion, WERE the 2nd best team in the league. Yes, resume's speak. Yes, he needs to show that he can win in the playoffs. But you're leading a team that has made the playoffs with however many millions less money to spend on players and then gets the absolute worst cards dealt against him in these first round matchups. If they make it to the playoffs this season and face a decent, but not top 3 team in the league and are healthy and we lose again, I'll then understand talks (not necessarily action, but talks) about hsi dismissal. Until then, I still think he's a top 5 coach in the NHL right now. Again, I'm usually very critical of my team (Wild) and not a tire-pumper, but I think Deano is a fantastic coach.

    • @travzimmerman1340
      @travzimmerman1340 Год назад +2

      In no way shape or form was Dallas a top 3 team in the league last year. You've never played, correct?

    • @Kezmo
      @Kezmo Год назад +1

      @@travzimmerman1340 Western Conference finalists? No… no way were they a top 3 team in the league. 🤡 Okay, let’s even say top 4. No Eck against a top 4 team. I’m not jumping on Deano’s back for going 6 games with them. The guy has taken the Wild to the postseason every year and has $15 million (or whatever it is) LESS to work with than any other NHL team. No, I’m not happy we keep losing first round, but I think it would be idiotic to fire Deano JUST because of his playoffs results without factoring in the opponent/situation. And, like I’ve mentioned above, if he does it again this season (1st round exit in the playoffs, that is), then I can understand “talks” about his dismissal; but not an automatic dismissal.
      I play and coach. But I’m not a homer that thinks that matters in terms of contributing to thoughts on the Wild/Coach.
      Keep in mind, I’m a die hard Wild fan. I want them to win a Cup. I hate it when they lose first round. I’m just not seeing the 1st round exits in the last couple of seasons as being all on Deano’s shoulders, that’s all. 🤷‍♂️
