I watch this video 6 years later as I recently have discovered your channel (through the Celica build) : your personal life is your personal life, you are totally allowed to keep this 100% private. I suppose viewers watch your videos because it's informative, entertaining, motivating ... etc And I like your humor :) Never apologize for anything, just do what you like to do, what you feel best with, that's the main thing ...
Hey Sarah! You have to keep your love life personal. It's nobody else's business except yours and your partner. If you wish to share then be it. I personally think revealing a relationship online is not necessary. Remember, it's your life. We are here to watch you work on cars and do product reviews. You're doing a spectacular job of keeping us entertained. Keep it up!
I agree. Your audience is just interested in watching you undertake new projects and enjoy the process. We aren't here for a family or couples show time🤣🤣🤣. Show us your relationships with cars and interesting things!!!
Agreed. The only reason they are asking is because you are a woman. No one asks the dudes posting car vids if they are going to start dating any time soon.
Shes a very beautiful woman. Shes hard worker, motivated, smart..she will not have a problem finding a guy. The pickings are slim though. Keep up good work with videos.
Enjoy your life Sarah and don't let nosey Parkers annoy you. You keep us all entertained with your hard work and perseverance no matter how hard the task, All the very best from Bonnie Scotland.
Charlie has to be haten life without you. My God you are just about what every car guy is looking for. Stay sweet!!! You'll find someone that will appreciate you when you are ready.
I guess the saying is true, misery definitely does love company, another mr2, other than mine, that has parts missing for no obvious reason. So somewhere in the universe there is a mystical place with a whole bunch of unmatched socks and mr2 parts.
Mostly after last months video… I’m crushed. It was so real, and painful. It hurt so much to see you sad. OMG You were so strong to share any of those real feelings with us. It’s a testament to just how much of a bad ass strong woman you are.
I know this is an older video but I just discovered your channel after a test drive review came up in my feed and I have watched a few other project videos and I think you are amazing! You have a rare set of skills that most females don’t pursue and many of us wish our other halves had just a little of the mechanical skill and love for cars that you do. Your beauty, down to earth attitude and sense of humor come through for us even when you have had a rough day or something on a project isn’t working and I will look forward to following your content. Cheers Sarah!
If I was 25 years younger! Honestly you match everything I would love to find in a lady, not clingy, loves cars, funny, loves cars, hard worker, loves cars, not afraid to take risk and you love cars lol. Someone will be very lucky.
As someone who was working on editing simple videos almost everyday I can say I admire your dedication to getting these out to us so much. You make me want to get back to work and produce new content again.
Privacy is precious, don’t give it up. As curious or nosey as viewers want to be, it’s your business, not ours. Enjoy watching from Ontario Canada.👍👍🇨🇦
As a fellow MR2 owner, yeah they can be a pain. Complete respect to you for putting in the long hours to create the content which is really entertaining for us viewers. Loving the channel. Keep doin what ur doin! And hello from Aus.
You can get a stick of brake line with the flare already on it, then use a DOT certified compression fitting to couple it to your old clutch line. The fitting is $15 and made of steel not brass. Some people have issues with this, but it is actually the approved method of repairing brake lines in certain applications. They will hold 50,000 psi with no issue.
Your personal life is exactly that, personal. Take it one day at a time. We don't need to know everything. The video is very good. Don't even worry about it. Progress is progress, no matter how small. So keep doing what you're doing and don't worry about us, we're here regardless. But most importantly please try to take care of your self. Looking forward to the next video. Be well. Tom
They make a compressed fitting that you can install on that 1/4" line Sarah. Just pick a spot where the line is solid (good) and cut there. Then place one half of the compressed fitting on and tighten. Then on the other side, start with your new line and tighten that! Then flare wherever you need from there! Man I wish I could draw on here! Lol! Good luck woman! Your doing fine!
Hi Sarah, you can clamp the two timing sprockets with a vise grip after u get them on the Mark's and that will eliminate the need for a second person. As far as the clutch line goes, find a good close spot to where it's broken, cut it and pair a new line to it. I wish I were closer, I woulda gave you a hand. You're doing an awesome job, keep it up. And if u have any questions, feel free to ask.
Hey Sarah Take your time doing what needs to be done and do it right. If you aren't comfortable in doing something, be it personal or mechanical, stop or just take it slow. The Earth will still turn and the sun will still rise. Keep up the great work Matthew
Agreed keep your private life private, as for the clutch line have a stainless line made and make your life easy, no bends no flaring fittings. Great video, don’t change
Hi Sarah A few ideas about the clutch line.. If you cant find parts new retail locally perhaps take your slave cylinder to your local pick a part and look around at what fits? Something imported may be useful? At least you can get one end fitted up. You may not need to completely remove the tube how about joining it to the old tube. If the metric tube and fittings is so hard to find you could Make up a couple of straight joiners and use the imperial stuff you can find locally. To make a joiner just get an low tensile 5/16 or 3/8" bolt and cut a length about 2" long. Drill all the way through with the smallest size pipe od and about halfway the larger. The pipe can then be joined via silver solider..... There will be some prep work required ( Disconnect at the master cylinder, purge line of fluid, sand off aluminum coating on toyota pipe in vicinity of repair etc..) but this is a valid repair for a clutch line. I'm from Australia and it's common to run across mixed bags of different pipe/tube and fittings as we went metric in the 70's but still have to deal with UK and American standards let alone some of the early metric standards. There is a bit more to the repair but your local Hydraulic hose doctor should be able to do the solider repair with the pipe in situ with a few precautions taken first ( Clear and protect fuel lines for example) Just a thought as I have run into this problem before and need to get creative to get home..... Good Luck Cheers
Have nothing to be apologetic. YOU determine what personal business you want your followers & haters to see. Although it's "human instinct" to connect with others via social media, just remember you owe yourself to keep things private. Share what you want to share. Just know your followers / supporters will be that. If yiu feel comfortable to share and seek out life questions via your social media platform by all means. Just know everyone will have their opinions, presumptions and even judgemental views. You do you to be a better you! All the best. Keep up the great work!
You're to be praised for the courage disclosing a range of personal concerns (sometimes referred to as issues). My professional advice is keep in tune with your mood, your health and don't persecute yourself when you feel the need to exhale and regroup. Restoration isn't limited to motor vehicles.
The black metal binder clips work great for holding belt in place on cam pulleys. A ratchet or cam strap is a very handy tool when you need that extra 3rd and 4th hand to put pressure on something. Simply hook a short rubber tarp strap on one end if you want a little forgiveness in it but tight tension.
Oh sarah, you always turn my day into so much optimism. No matter how shitty my day went, I tune in to my subscriptions and you just turn my frown upside down!
Maybe share some of your other hobbies, movies you like, why you joined the forces, your workout routines, what you like to cook, where you want to move to next. Love your channel! Shoutout from Canada!
I know how focused I get when working on my truck, there is no way I would be stopping to position cameras and lights and also do commentary. I really appreciate the amount of effort you put into your videos, nice work.
i gotta give it up to you. doing all that by yourself is a daunting task. any time i have car work to do, it's all by myself and it really sucks sometimes.
Been watching a couple of months and enjoy the channel. When pinning tensioners try Allen keys. That way you can pick the biggest size to avoid the bend. I’ve had a few cheap drill bits shatter under pressure and they’re not the easiest things to clean out
These older video's are great, you actually have the same equipment to do these jobs as us average Joe's. But I understand we evolve and upgrade. Shame though, you seem so genuine in this vid, I thought you were going to cry when you broke that line and I felt your pain, it happens to us all in the home garage. Keep progressing Sarah and I hope after all this hard work you put in it pays and makes you a rich young lady.
For the clutch line... Why not reach out to a local hydraulic shop?- You may be able to run a steel braided line from somewhere beyond the break, couple it, and run that like through. Or run steel braided from the master cylinder all the way back... I had my brake lines fabbed for about $95, and if it can handle brake duty, I'm sure it can handle clutch duty...
To save yourself a lot of aggravation with that clutch line, just get some -4 braided line and make one yourself that goes from the master cylinder all the way to the slave cylinder. You'd need to source some fittings for the master and slave line sides, which shouldn't be too difficult to determine the sizes.
Seeing where you were then, and seeing where you are now ( where I happened in was a bit before [Somewhere during Gump] the move to the big (ish) shop, where you have a lift! 🙌🏽 ) I'm glad for you, and glad this hard work paid off (some). You knew Charlie is a Rock Star long before any of us had a clue.
Sarah, lead your own life. Nobody has the right to intrude in to your own personal space more than you allow us to. If they don't like it they can move out of their mom's basement and get a clue.
Great job on everything Sarah. You've managed to transition to your new editing kit with no noticeable changes in the feel of your content, so I hope you're able to be more productive with your new setup. You're so talented, it blows my mind!
Pinch timing belt onto cam gears with small clamps, or zip ties through cam gear holes, to keep the gears aligned correctly while putting belt on crank pulley, then pull the retainer "pin" (drill bit, whatever).on the tensioner. Metric solid hydraulic line is available from many stores including Amazon if not avail. locally. If the clutch line has ANY length of rubber line it it's path you can use a compression fit joiner to attach a section of new line to the old line. The joiner's burst strength will be higher than the rubber line.
I agree. Your audience is just interested in watching you undertake new projects and enjoy the process. We aren't here for a family or couples show time🤣🤣🤣. Show us your relationships with cars and interesting things!!!
Tiny Allen wrench works to hold the tensioner in too and the bend in the wrench doubles as a pull lever, or a grenade pin if you happen to have a grenade laying around. :D As others said your personal life is your own.
I just glanced over at my decimal chart. Pretty close, as 1/4" = 6.350 millimeters. Pretty handy at times. Your videos are awesome. Helped me with my 1.8t audi project.
Work is work and you do hellava job. If u tubers want you to get personal then let them rant. I really enjoy your sense of humour and your style and work ethic, you're also easy on the eyes! Just remember if you give them an inch they will want a mile!
I don’t have a life either, but your life is your life. There’s a lot of trolls out there so be careful. I love watching your blogs. You’re doing a marvellous job. Careful of those studs.
RUclips thought I would enjoy this video today and I did. I stumbled across one of your car reviews a few years ago and I was hooked, being an ex Toyota / Lexus technician back in the day your attention to detail and quirky sense of humor makes for enjoyable and informative videos. Now that you have a huge fan base I think that I can speak for a lot of us to say if you need a vacation after finishing the Celica or even before, take a vacation! We can wait, you can even do a little vlog about it if you want. Take advice from a grandfather, life is too short, take some time off and enjoy some of it.
Hi Sarah, you can also replace the clutch line with stainless steel braided flexible line. This way you don’t have to bother dropping the fuel tank in order to remove the old wanky hard line. Just use some metal/rubber straps bolted to bottom coolant line to secure new ss line in place
Tip on the single wire O2 sensor: Find a 4 wire heated O2 sensor that fits the location on the downpipe and then wire it up. It will have 2 grounds, one for the heater and one for the O2 sense side, and then one hot for the heater and the sense line that goes to the ECU. Just find a switched 12v source and wire the heater hot side wire, combine both grounds and then solder then the O2 sense line. You will get better fuel ratios and the sensor will heat up faster to lessen the time it is rich on start up. I did this on my turbo Mitsubishi and it works great.
Thank you Sarah, you do not have to explain shit about your personal life, its your life so live it. Just a couple of video updates every now and then is fine lol.
I admire your hustle and ambition! I’m a voice actor and run a voiceover school so I feel ya on crazy hours and the support thing. Keep up the great work 👍🏼
Get the table vise, it is really useful tool thing, gets things done, does small pressing things too. I have not killed my cheap Chinese one in a few years of farm use, so they might be fine if you are on the budget.
you could use a compression fitting on the clutch line. follow the line back till it looks decent, cut it and use a compression connector to splice a new section of line in.
Great video, Sarah! Try going to shop that makes commercial or industrial hoses. Why you ask? They may be able to bend a new clutch hydraulic line for you if you take the old one with the correct fittings. Check into this new brake line material that has a higher copper content that is easier to bend and shape to get it into you MR II . I just did my complete brake and fuel lines on a 99 Pontiac Firebird, the fuel pressure and return and evap lines were discontinued by G.M. so, I went to my hose shop and they made them in three days and the flares and bends were spot on perfect. They practically installed themselves. Just a suggestion. As for your personal life, well, that's your business, and nobody else's. Good luck with all your projects, and, I'll keep watching! Thanks for sharing such great content.
The editing was good Sarah. You put so much work into mr. Dos tetor tot and editing. Love all the videos, and can probably say for all of us followers that we are always happy to see another sarah-N- tuned video on notification bar!
I love, love, love an outfit called Bridgestone Hose Power. They made discontinued oil cooler lines for my vr4! They're right off l-10 on the west side of town. They could def set u up on your clutch ( they work on our cnc machines).
A way to get around no vise is with a plumbers chain tristand and a li'l creativity. Legs close for storage. Floor space in collapse mode li'l more than 1'-0"
1.Copper nickel lines are your friend they are soft as heck easier to flair 2.reroute the darn line it’s done all the time with brake lines! 3. Get a proper flair kit mine is KD TOOLS eBay for &$10 shipped 4. Get some pvc fish tank air tubing stuff to protect the new line This is how I do it all the time Only use that copper stuff With the pvc ask me how I know rust? And yes zip ties But the super high temp and height strength ones
Sarah --- Another great video, you are so consistent at making quality videos, the hard work you invest clearly shows in the final product. We all run into the same problems you do when wrenching on our cars. Keep up the videos and you will soon have 500K subs.
One thing that helped me whenever I was using a Mac over PC was getting used to not having a right click on the mouse so I picked up a Magic Mouse. I gained a lot of ease with it.
It's true great minds do think alike. I did the exact same procedure this past Sunday on a flare nut for the fuel line on my pops '93 sierra. The idiots that unnecessarily rebuilt the engine stripped the threads off the throttle body. Luckily I had scored one from the junk yard however the truck's flare nut to the fuel line was also rounded off completely so it was useless. But good thing for scrap buckets found and old master cylinder line with two pristine nuts on it however they were smaller diameter, didn't notice until after I cut the line. Tried to fit it only to not, grabbed the drill couple of bits plus a vice some wd40 and had at it and voila better than new.
Hey Sarah... Since your life is very public now and I and so many enjoy watching you share your life experiences, be careful, share what you know is right to share. There is some cra cra's out here so be guarded, not too guarded but again be careful. I'll def. pray for protection for you. Have fun workin' on those cars. 😄😎 Finally figured out how to do these emojis. Ha.
I see this is 5 years ago. You are delightful. You've grown so much in your trade. I'm impressed.

They make a compressed fitting that you can install on that 1/4" line Sarah. Just pick a spot where the line is solid (good) and cut there. Sarah, in the future use a tiny Allen wrench for the tensioner. The little elbow makes it easy to pull out after the tensioner is installed.
You have done great. Your hair looks better lite brown . You are an inspiration to alot of people to do the impossible
Thank you Sarah, you do not have to explain shit about your personal life, its your life so live it. Just a couple of video updates every now and then is fine lol.
You remind me of Brooke Banner. One of my childhood heroes.
Good work! Very rare to see women working on cars.
I admire your hustle and ambition! I’m a voice actor and run a voiceover school so I feel ya on crazy hours and the support thing. Keep up the great work 👍🏼
Your face lit up when you saw the bunny rabbit. Adorable.
Get the table vise, it is really useful tool thing, gets things done, does small pressing things too. I have not killed my cheap Chinese one in a few years of farm use, so they might be fine if you are on the budget.
Hanging with you has to be the coolest!
you could use a compression fitting on the clutch line. follow the line back till it looks decent, cut it and use a compression connector to splice a new section of line in.
Great video, Sarah! Try going to shop that makes commercial or industrial hoses. Why you ask? They may be able to bend a new clutch
hydraulic line for you if you take the old one with the correct fittings. Check into this new brake line material that has a higher copper content
that is easier to bend and shape to get it into you MR II . I just did my complete brake and fuel lines on a 99 Pontiac Firebird, the fuel pressure and return and evap lines were discontinued by G.M. so, I went to my
hose shop and they made them in three days and the flares and bends were spot on perfect. They practically installed themselves. Just a suggestion. As for your personal life, well, that's your business, and nobody else's. Good luck with all your projects, and, I'll keep watching!
Thanks for sharing such great content.
Your videos are great and you are quite the beauty with a sense of humor. A rare find.
Any man would be lucky to have you , your amazing, funny and beautiful your channel is the best.love from the uk.
In a pinch you could use the floor jack and a ratchet strap to hold the tensioner wrench.
So 5 Years Later you are Just Killing it Sa Rah
Thank you, Sarah! Outstanding content and presentation. Love your honesty. Peace.
Another great video Sarah. I wish I could find a girl like you that is so enthusiastic and passionate for cars!! Keep up the great work.
The editing was good Sarah.
You put so much work into mr. Dos tetor tot and editing. Love all the videos, and can probably say for all of us followers that we are always happy to see another sarah-N- tuned video on notification bar!
Ole Sarah I can't believe there's not a vice in your garage. Workbench and vice are essential for most trades. Better get one ASAP definitely...
"Insert F-bomb here" - funniest line I've heard in a long time. Your videos are addictive you know that.Just subscribed and now I can't fall asleep.
As my mom always told me, the right person will come when u least expect it. Be patient. She was right about my wife. It was worth the wait.
I love, love, love an outfit called Bridgestone Hose Power. They made discontinued oil cooler lines for my vr4! They're right off l-10 on the west side of town. They could def set u up on your clutch ( they work on our cnc machines).
I was so frustrated when I changed from PC to Mac but hang in there you will get it and you will never look back.
Love how u do things correctly the first time ,Thats how i was tought to work on cars and i cant wait for a cooking video
A way to get around no vise is with a plumbers chain tristand and a li'l creativity. Legs close for storage. Floor space in collapse mode li'l more than 1'-0"
Another great video. Wish you luck with the love life when the timing is right but agree you should keep that private.
You can always get it done alone. It's not easy by any means. After tensioning the wrench. Use a zip tie
1.Copper nickel lines are your friend they are soft as heck easier to flair
2.reroute the darn line it’s done all the time with brake lines!
3. Get a proper flair kit mine is KD TOOLS eBay for &$10 shipped
4. Get some pvc fish tank air tubing stuff to protect the new line
This is how I do it all the time
Only use that copper stuff
With the pvc ask me how I know rust?
And yes zip ties
But the super high temp and height strength ones
Sarah --- Another great video, you are so consistent at making quality videos, the hard work you invest clearly shows in the final product. We all run into the same problems you do when wrenching on our cars. Keep up the videos and you will soon have 500K subs.

You have nothing but support and respect from your fan fam
So please stop apologising for being you
Do whatever makes you happy 😃
One thing that helped me whenever I was using a Mac over PC was getting used to not having a right click on the mouse so I picked up a Magic Mouse. I gained a lot of ease with it.
Thats a steel brake line coupler , it will allow you to add a piece of line to the existing one , extending your present brake line
If there is bolts on the end of the cam gears use two wrenches and vice grip them together to keep the cam from spinning back the other way ;)
It's true great minds do think alike.
Ha.
