Located in the heart of Downtown, the new center at 225 S. Wilmington Street is going to transform Jewish life for young professionals in the area. As the only shul in Downtown, this vibrant communal and spiritual hub will provide a space where our community can gather, grow, and thrive together.
The new space is a former distillery, and the vibes are everything you could imagine: warm, rustic, welcoming, and best of all, it’s turnkey ready. It’s an urban oasis and it’s going to make CYP Raleigh even more accessible for all.

Currently, CYP events take place at the home of Rabbi Zalmy and Mushky Dubinsky. Due to the space constraints, events often sell out quickly and are limited in scope.
The new 8,100-square-foot center will change that. From Shabbat dinners and holiday celebrations to a dedicated sanctuary and a 24/7 lounge, this center will serve as the cornerstone of Jewish life in downtown Raleigh.
It’s going to allow us to grow as a community in ways beyond imaginable.
We’ve got the people, we’ve got the building, and we’ve got the vision.
Now, we’re on a mission to raise $1.2 million so we can bring the dream to life, kicking off Phase 1 of the campaign - $500,000
These funds will allow us to finalize the purchase and transform what was once a distillery into the heart of Jewish life in Raleigh.

The Shul Downtown is going to be the only established Jewish presence downtown, serving as a welcoming home for Raleigh’s Jews. Here, everyone can find a sense of belonging and tap into their Jewish identity.
