When he arrived at Benfica he was playing quite bad. He didn't score many goals and many Benfica supporters called him a flop because he was too expensive.

No question from this game that he's got the mindset and technique expected of a central striker. Just need more time to get the communication right between himself, forwards out wide and midfield. But that's what a pre-season is for. To iron out any kinks before the real work begins.
Every player is different and due to his price tag every one expects him to hit ground running but he needs time to geal around the team, I think like febinho we should give him atleast six months. #ynwa
Don't think he needs 6 months. I'm optimistic. He just needs to find his place in the team and get on par with fitness. I think in 2 months tops he will be great. I already see the potential, but he's still struggling to catch his breath and you can see he's nervous on the ball. Some people here (or other social media environments) never played a single football game in their life and maybe have no idea how it feels to have great expectations on your back and be nervous when you play. I completely understand what he's going through. As soon as he finds his confidence he will start firing 😉

Early signs between him and Salah look good! Always looking for eachother. Few more games and that looks like it'll be a lethal partnership! With Diaz running riot on the other side linking up with them cutting inside, I can see a LOT of goals being scored this season! That's without even talking about Jota and Bobby. So many options, can't wait to watch it all unfold!

People don't rate Nunez, just one good season with Benfica doesn't make him worth 100M. Liverpool don't need Nunez but overpaid for him just because Man United was interested. All the traits of a flop are there, poor first touch which cannot be trained it's either you have it or don't, look at Andy Carol, Lukaku and Werner. Everyone said give Werner some time too, but time doesn't fix first touches. Don't see how Nunez starts ahead of Jota in the first team, unless Klopp doesn't mind experimenting with Nunez in the league and get a couple of early losses.

Played well in the 60 minutes he's been on,not even played a full games amount of time,if he scores in his next 30 minutes it'll be a goal every 90,I'll take that all year.

Should also remember that apparently he has been suffering from foot blisters, which is excruciating! From my impressions, he looks very eager to please and is maybe feeling a bit of pressure from the price tag. Also seemed a bit naïve at times with silly fouls. But this is exactly why we have preseason, and these will be ironed out of his game! Positives are that he has a very very good work ethic and looks like he'll be a pressing monster up front... is quick, physical handful for defenders and has a powerful shot. Once we have Thiago and Trent proving quality service he will be hiting his stride... just need to give him a little more time to adapt to his new surroundings!
Aspas had an amazing pre season for us, look how that ended... Nunez has looked dangerous this pre season, links up with salah brilliantly

Nunez needs time to learn Liverpool s playing style. Two games won't dedicate the future for him at our club. I thought he looked very well organised up front for Liverpool. But he needs Robertson and Trent to be putting them crosses in which we didn't see. That is why he looked so scruffy at times. But our team needs to be organised for him to score goals as he is a very talented striker.

New country, language barrier, different types of coaching, one of the best team ever in the league, first time playing for such a big club, you guys should be glad he got a pre season in. He reminds me a lot of edinson Cavani, not saying hes as good as Cavani yet, but just his appearance, big with tall hair,strong, moves really quick, good striking technique, but his positioning needs to be sharpened, i also see that in this match he was afraid to hold on to the ball and face defenders, he has to get rid of that hopefully before the season start.

In his first season at Benfica he struggled to make any real impact missing a lot of good chances and many felt Benfica had made a mistake with his signing, but he eventually came good. It took him a full season before he started showing his true ability. Liverpool fans should be patient and may need to wait a full season before he shows his true potential.

I'm a United fan for 30years but i wont stoop so low to say Nunez gonna flop. He is young and with that pricetag, he is under pressure. Sure his first touch is Lukaku 2.0 but he is deadly in the box.
