This is technically K-pop because it is popular music from a Korean artist which is what K-pop means.
The mistake many make is that K-pop is not a genre in and of itself. K-pop consists of multiple genres of music and the BTS alone has songs in many of those genres. Everything from hip hop and rap to pop music and ballad, Latin pop to EDM and R&B/jazz. So although V's music may sound different from other K-pop music you have heard it's still falls under the same category of K-pop.

Even if you have no music theory training I think you are realizing some things pretty quickly. Loved this! Thank you!! I read that he wore some flashy clothes in a cave because when you break up you want them to pay attention to you so you try to highlight yourself. Something along those lines.
V has the widest vocal range in the group. He is very unique and is a hands on artist. He is very particular on how his solos are represented along with his photo shoots and other projects. He is an actor, singer dancer, composer, writer among other things. His album LAYOVER comes out September 8. Please look forward to his other 4 music videos. You can also watch his Fan made videos and V focus videos, which are often the most viewed (Kpop) on RUclips and other platforms. Other projects to watch are his Vlog Drive on RUclips, Friendcation on Disney, Jinny’s Kitchen on Prime, and Hwarang , his debut as an actor on Viki. You’re right he is a baritone, and his range is the widest in BTS! He’s such a great and unique artist with so much talent! Also I think you’ll really like Rainy Days which is another new song by V, he is in the midst of his solo debut and promoting his upcoming album (Layover) which these 2 songs are from, so it’s the perfect time to get into his music! It’s really crazy how these 7 very different and talented guys are all a part of BTS! When you dive deeper into their group and solo songs it becomes obvious how amazing BTS really is! V is the last member to release “official” solo work, though each member has done solo songs before, either as part of a BTS album, or released as “mix tapes” or one-off digital offerings.
Two songs I’d suggest...
Jungkook’s cover of “Falling” by Harry Styles, so you hear another superb vocal performance with a rich emotional depth.
RM’s “Wildflower” from his solo album, released in December of 2022. It features guest vocals from youjean. Another track with lots of emotional punch, in more of a rap song, but also with superb vocals.
One reason I love these guys so much is the incredible versatility, as you mention-after hearing three very different tracks. They just never fail to surprise & delight. And production-wise, their stuff is always A+ shit.

A quick explanation. They all had solo works while they were still active as a group. Those solos usually were released under BTS instead of individually, but some were released under the individual's name. Also some of the members wrote songs for other artists.
Currently (as of around a year ago), the group is on hiatus while the individual members serve out their mandatory military service. Jin joined last December. J-Hope enlisted at the beginning of Spring. Suga will be going in soon. They all have released solo works in the last year, so there will be plenty to choose from.
As for which one was V in the previous videos you watched.... In Dynamite, V was the one who started the second verse. His outfits were the orange cardigan, white tee, jeans, and tinted lenses; the green suit; and the blue set at the end. He ended the video by putting the glasses on and smirking. In Mic Drop, he was the first to sing (started the chorus) after J-Hope, then Suga, rapped the first verse. I believe he wore a bandana the whole video.

Two of the songs with the deepest symbolism in videos are spring day and blood, sweat, and tears. Those definitely need explainer videos. The best ones are not on either of the two channels that i mentioned. Spring day is about a tragic ferry incident in south korea where a ton of school kids drowned. Search for the explanation video made by italian army. Blood, sweat, and tears is based on the book damien and pretty much every item in the video means something. It isnt my favorite bts song but the symbolism in that video is mind blowing. Everything bts does is intentional and means something. My favorite explainer for it is by the don't worry i'm not afraid channel and the video is Blood, sweat, and tears: what does it all mean? Also i would recommend the explanation video by DKDKTV for Deschwita by Agust D.

They started their solo projects last year, [ JHOPE ] was first to drop an album, [ RM ] then dropped an album, [ JIN ] dropped a single, then [ JIMIN ] dropped an album, then [ SUGA ] dropped an album, then [ JUNGKOOK ] dropped a single, [ V ] dropping an album soon, then we are just waiting for [ JUNGKOOK's ] full album. The reason they have started their solo stuff last year was because they all have to do mandatory military service, JIN went in Dec 2022, JHOPE went in April 2023, SUGA is going in soon, then it will be the rest of them after that.💜🔥💙
*Jungkook* , another member of BTS, also had a solo song release last month called "Seven" ft. Latto. It's an all English song.
*V* already released "Rainy Days" and "Love Me Again" but will soon release his title track "Blue" on Sept. 8th this year.
Jimin, SUGA (Agust D) and Jhope also released songs this year:
*Jimin* : "Like Crazy" and "Set Me Free Pt. 2". There is no part 1. He named his song part 2 because he kind of made it a sequel to Agust D's song "Set Me Free" in his first mixtape. SUGA goes by Agust D when going solo.
*Agust D* : "Haegum" and "Amygdala" and "Peopl Pt. 2" ft. IU (another Korean singer) He has a song called "People" in his 2nd mixtape "D-2", hence, the "part 2" in this year's released song

BTS is on hiatus as a group that is why all members are releasing solo projects. All male Koreans have to enlist in military for 18 months and 2 of BTS members (Jin and Jhope) are already enlisted. The other members will soon follow within the year. They will soon reunite as seven in 2025. Before this, all members already have solo songs within BTS albums. Some members also released solo project while also doing group projects.

Hi, You are talking about Kpop but not sure where it is from. If it was Japan it would be Jpop I think. V is V as you see him, a baritone, he has the biggest range of the whole group, and his voice is gorgeous, like warm treacle.
I recommend you listen to some vocalline tracks Crystal Snow, and House of Cards. Or if you like rap listen to Hip Hop Phile.
Obviously I know it’s from Korea, some people told me BTS and it’s members sometimes make songs in Japanese
