Summary: Aaron is questioned by the police at the station and they warn him about the severity of the situation. However, Fletcher seems suspicious of Aaron's story. At the same time, Adam is unaware of what Aaron is up to until Holly lets it slip. After being released, Aaron visits Adam, telling him to stick to the story. However, Adam is torn and Aaron worries that he won't go along with it. Later, Aaron explains what he's done to Debbie and Cain. They're stunned that he is protecting Adam, but Cain agrees to go along with it. Cameron suggests telling Chas, but Debbie insists that it isn't their problem and to leave it alone. Soon afterwards, Aaron meets Adam at The Woolpack and tries to convince him that everything will be alright -- he has a plan...
never hated moira until now. I know that as a mother she only wants her son to be safe and happy, but she is not making him a favor by teaching him to blame others for his faults. That is what is wrong in this world: people teaching the children that their happiness is better than what it is correct.

Aaron has always wanted to punish himself for killing Jackson and he was devastated not to go to jail for it. Maybe he thinks this is his chance to get rid of his feelings of guilt.

Cut to Aaron, sitting at Jackson's grave, sipping a beer, talking to him and giving him all the gossip. Aaron: (takes a sip) You'll never guess what's happened me, mate. (pauses, awaiting Jackson's imagined answer) You won't guess.
After this Moira has no right to call herself a mother because what kind of mother would encourage her child to stay quiet and allow his best friend to take the blame for something her own kid has done? Adam almost roasted a man alive and if anyone is to blame for that it is Moira and her decision to sleep with Cain in the first place.
I bet John Barton is turning in his grave right now. His family is going against everything he stood for: honor, integrity, accountability, and justice. Even when he was alive, he had to suffer for Adam and Moira's selfish deeds. From here on out, the Bartons deserve everything coming to them.
As for Aaron, I hope there's some kind of twist at the end of all this nonsense. If not, then he won't have my sympathy. Cain and Debbie deserve justice, and Chas and Paddy deserve to see their son happy.
Adam's mom is a cow, and Cain's daughter is responsible for this mess in her own right. Demanding and self righteous, how'd that work out for you...

Let's all just throw Aaron under the bus. I can understand the Dingles but I thought Adam and his family were better than this. This ending of Aaron's storyline is just making me sick.
At least they didn't kill off Aaron.I would have been gutted if that was going to happen.I'm still hoping Aaron is going to be at the airport leaving with Ed while the police don't arrive in time to arrest him.
This is ridiculous. Writing key characters so that all of them are ready to let an innocent man take the fall really destroys any credibility any of those characters may have in the future. This show has jumped the shark in a big way.
Aaron doesn't want Adam to go to jail that's reasonable
The Bartons , sadly including Hannah // Matty all loved to crictize the Dingles , and hurt them , even after they helped some of them, and then when The Dingles react , they always say i didn;t know ! Adam, Holly .,Hannah/Matty, Ross just loved to screw with The Dingles and laugh when bad things happened to them
Remember the night of the garage fire when Aaron told Cain he would never ask another favor of him if he kept Adam out of it? Now, in this episode, he asks him for this huge favor. Aaron doesn't keep his word very well.

Aaron had thought that he never wanted to see Hazel again, with all those sad memories. But to him, he felt surprisingly exuberant to see her. She was a 2nd mum to him, and from the look on Hazel's face, the familial bond felt mutual. They hug each other dearly. End scene.

Everyones really terrible for making Adam keep this secret when it’s clearly tearing him up… Aaron may have tried to help Adam but he’s just as horrible for ignoring Adams feelings about this. Poor Adam🥺

Sorry but Moira is being entirely selfish ... she would rather see Aaron go to gaol than Adam... her saying 'have we not been through enough'.
It will be interesting to see how this pans out especially as I know what Aaron's final words ever, appear to be.

I don't hate this storyline I just wish that Ed would've been to really connect with Aaron. And that we could've seen that relationship grow. I going to miss Ed not on the level I will miss Aaron, but I just wish we could've had a chance to see this character develop.

Aaron only now looks at the fresh set of flowers on Jackson's grave. The little card on them reads,"You will always be my little boy,Hazel"
Aaron: "Didn't realise your mum passed through recently.Pity I missed her".A voice comes from behind Aaron. "You didn't". He turns around and there she is, in full glow, with a tan or sunburn (take your pick) from presumably her travels.

They aren't seriously going to let Aaron go off to prison to protect Adam are they? I mean I know Aaron's always followed his own warped version of a moral code but seriously?
But also bear in mind that being charged with a crime and absconding is not the same as being convicted of a crime and absconding. On top of that Aaron allegedly set fire to a tiny village garage not murdered hoards of people. I doubt very much that an enormous of effort would be expended by either the British police or the French to track him down and haul him back to the UK.
This storyline is infuriating. Not saying justice systems are always just but honestly one must own up to his actions. Who cares if he has lots he'd leave behind? They should've made a deal with Cain- if the victim doesn't want him to have a heavy sentence, they could work out something. Honestly is the best policy. Good on Adam to want to fess up. Aaron is making a dreadful mistake, and he is mothering Adam. For what he wants most, Aaron will pay the biggest price.
I was shouting at the computer screen, "This makes absolutely no freaking sense!" until Aaron assured Adam at the end that this is gonna work out. So I guess Aaron has a plan which, as others here are predicting, entails him running off to France.
But how will Chaz feel about her son not being able to come home in the future?
When Chaz hears about this, she is gonna FREAK OUT... and rightfully so.

1,2,3 yrs down the road, when things have cooled down, Aaron tries to return to #Emmerdale. Ed had proposed to him in France, but Aaron is not ready for that. Aaron, when he returns to Emmerdale, is curious to see that Adam now has a son and asks Adam as to who the father is.Adam, having told his family a year ago that someone else was the father, tells Aaron the same.
WTF is wrong with these writters? I mean first they have Aaron dump a great guy then take the blame for starting a fire. I can't believe the writters can't at least give Aaron a happy ending after all the shit that they've put him through. Its such a cluché.
I think he should have left on good terms ... not with a bounty on his head .... It should have been a peaceful goodbye not a bitter sweet one...
Since so many of us had this same thought, that probably WON'T happen. Curious what Aaron's ace up the sleeve is, though. Still, I'm dreading his last episode as much as I did Jackson's. To say that I'll be angry if Aaron & Ed don't have a happy ending is a major understatement. I will stop watching ALL gay soaps. I'm so fed up with the impression left by so many soaps that all gay romances are doomed. One McDean happy ending doesn't make up for all the others.
I wonder: If Ed gets all the facts is he really going to want to get involved? It's not like they've been seeing each other for a long time. If he doesn't get all the facts, it's bound to torch the relationship after a while.
I love Emmerdale, I always feel like these are real people. Funny when Aaron says "I´m grateful you know" that´s an instant alarm for Chas lol, can´t believe I love her, she was so great last summer with the selfharming

Moira is evil. Why should Aaron take the blame? Also she let him Adam the blame for what she did as well. Maybe that's why she lost Holly. No accountability. Perfect dingle. Anyway, Aaron wasn't on the run for long seeing as he came back. Jackson never knew what getting Hazel and Aaron to finish him off would do to him. Aaron probably still hasn't got over it. Jackson really made the issues Aaron had worse. He was in bits before Jackson, was happy with Jackson and then they took him away. They just like him to suffer and Aaron thinks he should suffer
But, assuming this is the way things pan out, something as minor as a traffic ticket in France would get him sent back to GB. Here in the US, arson and attempted murder (if the police get that far) are not serious enough for a foreign manhunt, but are likely serious enough for extradition if he bumps into the French police.
Only two more days :(
I hope they surprise us, too - and that if the writers are heading where they seem to be heading, they keep in mind that England and France have a bilateral extradition treaty ...

Seriously how anyone can continue to think of Adam as anything other than scum after this and the same goes for his mother and the rest of the family. Adam did a witless thing that almost cost a man his life and now he and his family are going to sit back and let Aaron take the blame because he is stupid enough to want to help his friend. When has Adam ever made such a sacrifice for Aaron or indeed anyone and if he did indeed love Aaron he would never allow him to mess up his life like this.

Exactly! That´s the most probable thing. People give too much credit to extradition all of a sudden :) just joking. Oh how I want him to do that (it´s clear he is going to try it) and live in France even if he can´t see his family (which in the other hand would be good for him in a way too). It was the best for Hazel and it´s the best for Aaron

I heard that Aaron and Adam have one passionate night in the sack before he goes on the run. Then Adam, a few weeks late, realises that he is preggers with Aaron's son, but can't get in contact with Aaron as he's in hiding with Ed in France. Two or three years later, Aaron returns with Ed, fluent in french, only to find out from Paddy that Adam bore him a son, Timothy.
Paddy: You know how a stork delivered Timmy to Adam...?
Aaron: What are you gettin' at Paddy? Spit it out!
P: Package is yours.
