And now he visits prisons and talks to inmates, especially the youth prisons. He also buys the inmates instruments and is building recording studios in several of those facilities. Just trying to give them another outlet to turn their lives around. Him and his wife Bunnie are definitely out here doing the words work❤
I believe God answers every prayer. The issue for many of us is that we don't want to accept that sometimes God's answer is 'no.' I just discovered Jelly Roll recently too. 'Son of a sinner' is great & 'Save me' will pull at your heart strings. He was in a gang as a teen & ended up in prison for 5 years. He got out at 23 & started doing rap. Now his music is high on the country charts, with the songs I mentioned & this one. I heard him in an interview last week & he said he writes for people like him. He says he knows exactly who his audience is. I love his voice; however, the writing is superb. .
Heard the song first before the video and thought it was a great song. After seeing the music video with the song I cried so hard when you see the little girl in the hospital. I have a Son and another child possibly on the way and could help but think how I would feel in that situation and couldn’t hold the tears back as a Father. As soon as you saw that scene I saw that demeanor change in what you were feeling on your reaction seeing it was a child. It hit me the same way the first time and I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing.

I never pray for myself. Figure I can handle most anything. I pray for others. My 21yr old sons friend died from cancer. I prayed and begged God to save him. But he passed away. It's hard to watch a 19yr old kid die.
I feel that this song is about our personal relationship that we have with our creator just like anything else we recognize our friends we recognize our family, but do we actually give thanks and be grateful to who created everything and us 🤔. something to think about and then sad to say when things happen as life normally does in this system of things we run and pray to our creator to help us out of a bad situation, but does he really know us and do we really know him? I believe he does however His time is eternal so for Him it was immediately but for us who’s time is limited it seems like it takes forever or goes unanswered. All my 20s I prayed for my wife and a family, at 30 I was born again and 5 years later I married the love of my life and she had a daughter so I got my wife and family in one day. Truly blessed

I thought your reaction was very powerful, I do know that "unanswered" prayers are hard for even people who follow God always, but I also think that God ALWAYS answers our prayers. I may be wrong, but I feel like God always says "Yes", "No", or "Not right now". We're impatient creatures, so "Not right now" is probably the hardest thing to have come back to us. I'm not sure if I agree that God won't answer a prayer the way we want due to our dedication, because God says that we always have the opportunity, no matter how sporadic, to reach out to Him. And that He loves us the same no matter how we come to Him. But I think if we don't pray often and we don't have that bond with God it can FEEL like God is playing favorites because we don't understand or want to accept that His telling us "No" or "Not right now" is ultimately for our own good. A lifetime of prayer starting in desperate prayer several times per day from when I was two landed me with a broken nose and black eye by my birth supposed mother who punched me in the face.
