Thank you so much for this vlog! My husband and I are going on the Sunshine in just a few weeks and I appreciate you showing what we will have to go through to get onboard. Big difference now in comparison to our last cruise on that ship in 2019. Not sure I want to pull a carry-on that far and through so many buildings. Looking forward to your future trips and vlogs.
Thanks so much for this vlog! I didn’t see porters for our luggage at dockside. Do they have them? My wife and I will be moving to South Georgia for our retirement and Charleston will be our home port. We plan to sail at least 8 times a year. Hope you had a great time!
You drive up the porters under a white tent to check in your luggage before you park your vehicle. Yes there is a lot of walking involved. I was glad to sit down in one of their lounges to get a breather. We had a great time though!
South Georgia is a lovely area. My grandmother was from Thomasville and we have friends who have lived in Moultrie and Valdosta. Good luck with your retirement and future SC cruises!
You have to provide a Negative test through their Navica app 48-72 hours in advance of boarding to show them at check-in. They look at your vaccination card as well.
The cruise boat in Galveston Texas is closer than my house
You're lucky to have a cruise port close to you. We have to go to Norfolk , Va. for our Bermuda cruise in Oct.
@@klvr5863 I hadn’t been to Virginia but I had a friend from my school who from Virginia
Just got off yesterday. Had a blast!!!!
Awesome! Looking forward to our next trip.

Glad this helped and you enjoyed it. Just a FYI, don't leave any soft drinks in your check-in luggage like I did..
Same here, my husband and I will be going on the Sunshine in a few weeks and this was good to know.
Going in June can’t wait
Awesome! Have fun!
Thanks! We’re going in June and were curious to how the process was going to be!
Glad this helped.
Thank you so much for this video.. no one ever shows what it is like to board !
No problem. Glad this helped. It's a process that's for sure..

Charleston didn’t renew their contract with Carnival past 2024. :(
@@YTwatcher312 Omigosh! Guess it will be a 6 hour drive to Ft Lauderdale then!
Why couldn’t you park closer.
We were directed by the parking authority to park there.
Do they put vaccination cards through system? All ports are different is why I’m asking.
Not that I could tell, they just looked at it. They were more concerned with the negative test before boarding.
That was a lot of walking! We are nearing 50 cruises and we have never had that much walking! Guess we are going to have start working out!
Yes there is a lot of walking involved when checking in and boarding as well as disembarking on the return
How are they checking vaccination status?
