    I think watching this video embodies the feeling that many of us get when foiling. It is really almost like magic. It is soulful. Hard to explain to anyone that has not done it. I have not been on a fin in 3 years. I love foiling. When I grow up, I hope to be able to do some of the things that Greg is able to do. TOW!!!

    Greg and Emily, Thankyou for what you do! I am gonna add one handed clew first to my list of moves to work on... That looked so smooth! First I should improve my two handed version! Breeze on forcast for Saturday morning, I can't wait to get on the water, windfoil makes me feel like a teenager carving up parking lots on a windsurf skateboard again!

    That is so magical and relaxing to watch! Well done to Emily for a great drone footage 👍. What was the wind like for a 3.8 sail?

    • @GregGlazier
      @GregGlazier  3 года назад +2

      Thanks!!! As I recall it was around 12 to 18 knots

    • @dengordo
      @dengordo 3 года назад

      @@GregGlazier It's unbelievable that 3.8 was enough to get you going

    • @GregGlazier
      @GregGlazier  3 года назад

      It was a pretty steady east wind mostly averaging around 16 knots

    • @michaellausser
      @michaellausser 3 года назад

      Greg is also light weight if my information is correct?
      Nevertheless 3,8at 16 knots ...what di you take at 30 knots? What wing setup did you have?

    • @GregGlazier
      @GregGlazier  3 года назад +2

      I weigh 165 pounds. In 30 knots I am on a 2.8m sail. I ride the Slingshot prototype Phantasm foil setup with a Phantasm PFI 730 front wing. This wing is like a slightly scaled down and refined Infinity 76 wing.

      Goya 3.8 Bounce

    • @crown2548
      @crown2548 2 года назад

      @@GregGlazier Do you recommend this Goya Bounce ? My local spot and purpose is the following: 1. SMALL SIZE: Cross 4 (wave foiling in 22-28 knots wind range)
      2. LARGE SIZE: Cros 6.7 (wave foiling in 8-17 knots wind range)
      What do you think?

      For 2022 the Cypher has replaced the Bounce !? How does it compare to the Ezzy Crosss

    • @GregGlazier
      @GregGlazier  2 года назад

      @@crown2548 I absolutely love the new Cyphers for windfoiling, I have used them for almost 3,000 miles now and they are the best sail I've ever used for foiling!!! The Bounce is a great sail but it's redesigned replacement, the Cypher is even better! The Cyphers come in a wider range of sizes than the Bounce did, the smallest Bounce is 3.8m and the Cypher goes smaller with a 3.4m, 3.1m and a 2.8m! In the 22 to 28 knot range I would be using the 3.1m Cypher and if it was on the top end of that wind range I could switch to the 2.8m. I could not compare the Ezzy's with the Goya's since I have not used them.

      @@GregGlazier Good point. And what about on the low end wind range of my local spot? I want to also get out in light days: 10 to 16 knots, when I still get small waves and swell. Would the Cypher 5.9m work ?

      I use the Slingshot Phantasm 125W cm carbon mast with the PFI 730 front wing and PS 400 rear wing.

    What is the max speed with that material?

    • @GregGlazier
      @GregGlazier  Год назад +2

      I've gone 28 knots for small spurts, but usually top out in the low 20's on any given day.
